The process started innocently enough. I set up a $40 "Bull Bag" from Home Depot and tentatively began to fill it, as if I expected something to jump back out. But soon, I began to discard with a fervor I haven't felt in years. The pile grew quickly with CDs, manilla folders (manilla folders?!), obsolete gizmos, then quickly moved onto half-finished projects and discarded dreams. Dr Duncan McDouglall famously measured the human soul at just a mere 21 grams. According to Mark from Vanish, mine came in just shy of 1,200 lbs.
