I bought a car from this company almost a year ago and I still don’t have my title. Every time I call, they just say they’re still “looking for it” but never actually try to help. The way they talk is very unprofessional, and it feels like if you’re African or Haitian, they treat you with even less respect. They only care about taking your money, nothing else. After 11 months, I’m still waiting on my title very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Terribly horrendous place. THEY CLEAR CODES on vehicles they’re selling, you’ll probably never see one of their cars with “check engine” lights until after you drive and buy it. Any business that clears codes before selling a vehicle should not be trusted at all. Staff are RUDE and unwilling most of the time. Car I bought came with a few issues currently minor but clearing a code to avoid the check engine light from showing is ridiculous and untrustworthy.

THEY STOLE MY MONEY AND LEFT ME NO CAR. In December 2024, I paid $5,781 in full for a vehicle, only to discover it had a rebuilt title — a critical detail that was never disclosed. Had I known, I would not have purchased it. I immediately requested a full refund and refused delivery. Since then, I’ve made over 70 calls, been put on hold, hung up on, and given vague excuses like, “It’s getting close but I don’t know.” On March 7, 2025, a female associate hung up on me 27 times. I even drove two hours to their location and was ignored. This is unacceptable. I’ve escalated the issue to multiple departments and am now preparing for legal action.

*DO NOT BUY FROM THIS AUCTION!* I purchased a car here, and it was a complete scam. The vehicles are in terrible condition, with hidden mechanical issues and zero proper maintenance. Within less than a month, my car broke down due to critical failures that were clearly pre-existing. The sellers know these cars are beyond repair but still push them as "good deals" to exploit unsuspecting buyers. There’s no honesty in their listings, and any promises of warranties or guarantees are worthless. *Final Warning:* If you value your money and sanity, stay far away from this auction. You’re better off buying from a reputable dealer—even if it costs more. At least you won’t get a junk car disguised as a bargain. *Save yourself the trouble—DO NOT TRUST THEM!*

These people have mastered the system from the years they have had to deal with numerous customers requesting their money back after buying junk cars. I bought a car in the online auction that supposed to be a green light car and upon picking up the car immediately brought the car back after it fails to drive from the parking lot. By the time I've realized that the car was un-drivable, it was too late because they don't give you the keys until you pay the money in full. They then tell me somehow it was written on a line on the bill of sale that I have just signed that the car was Red-light.. they say they cant give me my money back. I told them I was going to call my bank to reverse the charges, when one of the girl that work there called Lauren said we have already been through this and have all the documents they need, meaning my signatures to present to the bank. I have been fighting this with my bank but learned from.the bank that with the paperwork they make you to singed at purchase has been legally crafted to benefit these criminals from visa and Mastercard requirements the banks have to fille. So dont buy from these criminals.

I bought a chrysler town and country from this place. Transmission was bad. Returned van March 24, still have not yet received my money back and it is April 11th today. I keep receiving the run around. I email daily with no response then they tell me it's not their issue bc they were not the owner of the van. Very unprofessional and bad communication. I will never buy another car from here

The most shameful company that you can ever due business with. I'm currently in small claim court with them as the owner still hasnt comply with court order of period payments of a vehicle that was return back to them in 12/23/2023. Buyers BEWARE this company is not certified by the BBB because of their business practice and they have multiple complaints against them.

They sell Junk cars, which never going to sell otherwise. We spend extra 4000 dollars on car we bought and still having issue. Still thinking should have bought it from used car dealer.

Not recommended. Today I have tested drive about 10 cars in person before the auction with the OBD scanner. 70% out of 10 cars had the head gasket blown problem (You may check the engine oil cap which shows the milky condition which means the coolant and engine oil mixed up because of the head gasket blown up). Other 30% had the engine code(s) even though the condition was categorized as Green light, which means a fine car. The parking lot were filled with the problematic cars. Think about it few seconds. If the car were in good condition, would it have been brought at an auction? Not recommended!!

Over the past 15 years, I have purchased five vehicles from this place, even before the new owners took over. Both the old and new owners have always been nice, and the new owners have made some tweaks and modifications to improve the buying experience for customers. This is one of the few auctions that allow you to test drive vehicles before buying. It's up to you to do your due diligence to thoroughly vet the vehicle. There are a lot of good cars and some bad cars, which is the nature of any auction. Most cars end up at auction because dealers think they'll have a harder time selling them on their lot. Of the five cars I've bought, one turned out to be lemons. To be fair, I didn't thoroughly inspect them like I do now. I'm not a mechanic or car expert, but I look, listen, and drive the car. I know what a car should sound like and use an OBD scanner to check for codes. If I see serious codes, I stay away. If I really like the car, I call my mechanic friend, share the code, and FaceTime them to get their opinion. I've bought all my kids' first cars from here. It's a great place to get a good car for under $10k.

I have to say this is a pretty amazing place if you are looking for a cheap car. And an easy purchase they will help you though it if your knee but its so simple and the wounderful staff there does all the paper work and foot work for you all you got to do is look test drive and bid again The staff there is so amazing respectful and accommodating. They have to be the most understanding and most helpful people That I have dealt with At a public business. Always remember though you're at an auction so the car is obviously not brand new. Any used car is gonna need a little TLC But for the price it is Definitely worth it And Unlike other auctions that have no warranty at all this place does guarantee the motor and transmission within the 1st 24 hours granted it's not a long Time but at least it's something Other places don't even do that on used auction cars usually. And if God forbid you do have an issue within the 1st 24 hours with the transmission or motor you bring it to the mechanic bring them the paperwork And they will do their very best. To fix the issue or get you into another car. I'll tell you what you could find a great car here for a decent price. And have it last you a long time. Please remember the staff here Do not own the cars. They only know what they are told by the seller and they are middle men.people go to them with their cars to sell them at their auction for them. So if for where am I apart and there is an issue? Just always remember that and go there with respect. And talk to the staff and they will help you. I only add this because I'm so sick of seeing people this awesome getting screamed at and the customer causing a scene instead of being respectful and calm and acting like adults to solve any issue they may have. This place and staff is so wounderful Definitely one of my top places. I'm not even going to lie I was so skeptical at first I'm so glad I changed my mind. Check them put every Wednesdays ipen to public and you can even bid online. So easy register test drive and bid. Check it out guys......

I've bought two cars from this auction and both cars needed light mechanical work. Over all they were great reliable cars. The front desk ladies are super helpful and polite. I only give them 3 stars because the last few auctions I've attended the sellers were uncompromising. It was a complete waste of everyone's time. Why bring a car to an auction if you're going to charge dealership prices. RIDICULOUS!

Wonderful Public auction with happy and helpful staff, and a great selection of cars updated weekly. I came here on a Wednesday evening. there were buyers bustling about, looking at the cars stages outside for me to review. I watched as people picked their favorites then went in side to bid. The auctioneer did a great job, taking his time with buyers so they didn't feel rushed. Lots of bargains to be had. Some bidders were bidding on line using simulcast, were they have a camera streaming the auction online. When someone won a car they take a small deposit to hold it for you so you can arrange final payment and pickup. All around, I would highly recommend this auction, especially because of the people running it.

This is the absolute best place to buy or sell a vehicle. I've been doing business with these guys for almost a year now. For every single encounter, I've always found them to be amazingly helpful and accommodating. It's really impressive how they go out of their way to make sure you are completely taken care of and satisfied. I have bought and sold vehicles here and there is nowhere else I feel more confident doing business, knowing that they will always be fair and honest. Thank you Interstate Car Solutions for everything. You're the best.

Recently bought a vehicle here and I have to say for it being my first time at an auction it was the best expierance. I had a small issue and the gentlemen in arbitration named Josh went to hell and back to make sure it was corrected and that I was happy with my purchase. I left there with a 2010 car with low miles for a damn good price. Everyone that works there is pleasnt to speak to and are willing to help you with anything. I definitely give this place a 5 star and will come back in the future to buy more vehicles. Thank you guys very much for everything!!!

Do not buy from these people. All the guarantees they give u are lies. They sold me a water damaged car it says in big bold letters they dont sell water damaged cars. Lies. The general manager told me they do not check the cars. They only check titles see if they run. BUYER BEWARE. This is not a good company to buy a car from.

Avoid at all cost. Got sold a lemon when I bought a used Audi that has an engine leaking oil everywhere and my mechanic says its a ticking time bomb. When I contacted them about it they said I did not pick up the car fast enough even though it was bought right before the holiday weekend when they were closed and that I only had a 24 hour window. They are supposed to guarantee a good engine and transmission but they are rude and shady. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!

Bought two cars from here. Great service and kind employees. Money-back guarantee as well (depending on what condition the car was sold in). Almost three years later and my car is still running strong. Can't believe the deal I got on it. No one can even tell it's from an auction. Of course there are good and bad cars so you yourself have to be careful on the car you purchase. Would definitely recommend to others.

Warning warning warning These guys are jerks specially Mr"SEAN" their assistant manager. I lost my $300 and gets nothing in the End. 1st.online they just take off $300 dollars deposit and ask you contact them in 24 hours ( while they close after auction ends). And 2nd they want you to take out your vehicle in a day. Seriously!!! how can you do that to a customers living far or was busy and not able to come on monday 2nd. I bid online on one of the vehicle, which I won but I want other SUV on auction so I email them right away to cancel my auction because I dont need that vehicle. But no answer on monday or tuesday, I called them to ask them if it has been cancelled and MR Sean attitude was so annoying, He was so annoying and keep saying 100 times " If you did not pickup you car, $300 dollars are gone" and also he was also cursing how I sound to him. Then I asked him if I can come and take my vehicle I won and then he told me its too late now because my vehicle is already back on auction. He told me that If I need that vehicle I have to do auction again or else come and pay late fee plus vehicle holding fee and blah blah blah fee (which I even don't remember now) but means in the end I was going to pay them way way too much for the vehicle. But story not ended here, After that I said ok I will pay so can I come and pick up tomorrow, And he said yes after paying all that extra fee as plenty you come and pick up but there will be no Warrenty at all and car will be sold as is condition. Then he was tried to afraid me that during my way back if car burns out or transmission goes down, they will not he held responsible. Seriously!!! their management is riping the private customers off. If you are one time buy please please don't buy from these people because they deal in craps. Bad attitude Bad customer service

I could not be happier with my experience here at the Interstate Auction. The people who work here are very nice, they patiently helped me with the whole process. The important thing is that their heart is in the right place when they help their customers. I bought two cars here within a span of three months. The first one I brought to be inspected and found it had a rotten frame and was not safe to be used. I talked them and they gave me a Full Refund. I decided to try again and bought a second one, but it turns out that there was an engine light problem. (Also, don't expect to have a ready to drive car when you purchase a car from an auction, even if it is a green light car. You should expect to spend a couple hundred to repair small issues that don't deal with the transmission or the engine failure.) I brought the car to a car dealership to get a diagnosis on the engine light on. They kept my car for three days and couldn't find anything, so they just wrote "salt water damage" as a diagnosis, then charged me a $500 fee. I contacted Interstate Auction really frustrated, and Sean Coleman was the one who called me back. He was very sympathetic and told me that if there was water damage, I could get my money back. We brought the car to a third party to get another diagnosis at Bumpy's Auto Services in Salem. (I also highly recommend Bumpy's as they were very honest and direct.) They did a full inspection on the car, and said there was no evidence of any water damage, just some condensation that dripped down from the battery and dirt from normal driving. They scanned the codes and found the check engine light was from a loose ground wire. Sean helped me get the necessary repairs to fix the loose ground wire, and they helped me get it fixed without charging me, so the staff there are very caring and compassionate. They went above and beyond to help me. After driving my car around for about 500 miles since, the engine light did come back on. So a big thank you to Sean Coleman and the staff at Interstate Auction! IN CONCLUSION: Interstate Auction is not like those deslerships focused on making a huge profit, they are here for the community and people like me who doesn't have a lot to spend on a car, but can't afford or don't want to go to a dealership. I feel good to be able to buy a car in full and not have to deal with financing. I spent $7,000 and got a 2011 Subaru. Make sure to test drive your car before buying, and get it inspected as soon as possible before the deadline. Good luck!

I purchased a vehicle here about 2 years ago. It needed a little bit of work but the vehicle is still running strong today. It is an auction so expect to spend about $500 to $1,500 in repairs depending on the age, make, and model of the vehicle. If you get lucky enough to get a vehicle that doesn't need immediate repairs, even better. It is a fast paced environment and lots of fun bidding. Overall a great experience.

I am very pleased with my purchase. The only thing I would comment negative about is the lag and having to refresh constantly during the actual auction and bidding process. Very confusing at times. The live video feed doesn't offer much confidence. It's like watching the Olympics and right when USA is about to cross the finish line. Someone changes the channel. Then turns it back after Russia won the gold. But other than that it was a great experience. And I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been buying cars here for seven years now and will continue. I have purchased many cars, 2 Ford F150s, Dodge Intrepid, Nissan Maxima, Ford Explorer, Audi A6, Volkswagen Passat, Ford Crown Vic, Infinity G35, I have them towed up to me in Maine to my mechanic which I always expect to have to invest some money so $1000 - $2000. When I add it up I still come in under retail value that I would have had to pay to get comparable car at dealer and know what is in them. I have bought from dealer to end up still needing to invest money. This is the way to go if you have a honest mechanic that you trust, I can stomach the repairs at the end of the day it saves some money. After about a year I sell them for what I have invested and do it all over again. Basically allows me to drive for free.

I have purchased seven cars at Interstate Auto Auction. Most of them have been great. There were a couple that were not so hot, however those were the times I didn't test drive before I made a purchase. If you take the time to test drive the vehicles and really check them over you can get an excellent deal. One of the cars I bought from the auction I drove to Alaska and back approximately 10,600 miles and did not have a single problem with it. I keep going back to them because the quality for the price it worth it.

I have purchased three vehicles from Interstate Auto Auction. The first was a pick-up truck sold green light. After 5 weeks, the motor blew up on the highway. The second was a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was also sold as a green light. This Jeep required over $2000 in work before I could register it. It was a lemon and I took a hit when I sold it. The third vehicle was a Chevrolet Trailblazer. It was also sold green light. I attempted to register it in New Hampshire to get temporary plates. The DMV told me they won't issue temporary plates for any cars sold at this auction because they sell unsafe vehicles. I had to rent a trailer to get it home. Once I got it home, it needed an oil pump. I called and was told to bring it back so they could check it out. I live in another state so I just decided to have the oil pump changed. Two months later, the transmission blew. All three vehicles were not garbage although they were all sold green light. Don't walk away from this action...RUN!!! Check out the BBB before you buy. I wish I had done that. Also, the majority of the good to excellent reviews have been placed by the employees.
