Excellent service, nice people and loaner cars.

Though they don't have long wait times to get in for appointments and the work was done properly, I'm not happy with the simple fact that I asked for a 2 wheel alignment(since I have a solid rear axle so there is no adjustment that can be done) and I was not told they only do 4 wheel alignments(how) they apparently meant they only charge the customer for a 4 wheel alignment even if only doing the 2 wheel alignment

I brought my old 2004 Nissan 350Z in for a regular service and I was also hoping they could figure out why the convertible top wasn't working properly. I was very happy that Ric was able to figure it out and fix it at an incredibly minimal charge. This place is the BEST and I plan on going there for all my car service needs. Friendly and knowledgeable crew that gets the job done quickly and has never overcharged!

Super easy to work with, great communication with a tracking website and calls from the office. The after hours pickup was perfect for my schedule. I'll be back.

The team at Motorcar Alternatives is great! This is exactly the type of auto repair shop I’ve been looking for, and am so glad I found them. They are professional, thorough, and very reliable. We have had issues with other garages in the area, but the team at Motorcar Alternatives took care of everything we needed and even provided a courtesy loaner car so we didn’t have to wait. My car is as good as new and they were able to get everything finished within the time they quoted. It seems like quality of service seems to be slipping lately at many places, but that is definitely not the case here. I am so happy that I have found a trustworthy repair shop that can do it all. If your car needs any work, even if it’s just an oil change or an inspection, this is the BEST place to go!

Great staff, great service. I have two daughters in college nearby. And they both go to Ric anytime something pops up with one of their vehicles. And they are treated like family. Most times they take care of emergency issues without a wait. And they feel comfortable going there, they say everything is explained so they understand it! Chris is wonderful! It's important to find a place you trust, that you know can do the job right and never overcharge.

I needed an inspection done on my car. I called and got an appointment the next day. Chris in the reception area was very cordial. The cost for this was so much more than I had expected but I was told that the work needed to be done. I went home to wait and returned later that afternoon. Chris was pleasant but I never spoke to the mechanic, which I wish in retrospect I had. I just like to know who is working on my car. Anyway, I have my sticker so I’m good for another year.

I recently moved and am no longer close to Motorcar. As such, I began using a different garage, located closer to me. I tolerated pricey oil changes (almost 50% more $$), excuses like "we didn't rotate your tires because they didn't need it" (ummm...they don't look like they need it because they are rotated every oil change), and pricey brake work. Finally, I had enough and decided to go back to Motorcar. Despite the drive and need for a loaner, I am glad that I made the decision. I never have to worry, and I pay a fair price.

I'm from Massachusetts so this shop is a bit of a drive, but I won't take my car anywhere else. It's nice to have my car worked on at a shop where I know I trust everyone involved. The owner is a big, friendly personality, and clearly enjoys having rapport and building relationships with all his local customers.

Failed inspection for wipers . They didn't even check to see them work. Also my brakes were close to being in need of replacement they could have recommended a repair instead of working on an estimate. Wanted to charge a fortune. Won't go back sorry.

Fantastic experience, from the original booking (which they were able to get me in right away), to the communication (you can monitor live updates on the status of your vehicle), to the quality of service, every single detail was top on the line! There’s not enough room to write about how much I love these guys. They treat me like family! There’s a reason I switched from those cheap auto mechanics and moved on to Motorcar Alternatives. With the other guys a week after a cheap fix and my car would have something else go wrong. But not with Motorcar Alternatives; They give me complete comprehensive details and I always know what needs to be done and what it will cost me. Great experience at Motorcar Alternatives. Called and had a same day appointment for alignment check. Ric took great care, provided clear feedback and had my car running the way it should be. While I waited for the work to be completed, I overheard several phone interactions between Chris and other customers. Kudos to his professionalism. Very positive experience and would not hesitate to have additional work done in the future.

The people were honest with me about the problem with my car, the cost it would be to repair it, and the fact that it was not worth spending the money on it. They found a salvage company to take the car off my hands, and suggested a great place to go to get a great used vehicle that was appropriately priced. My wife’s car went in for an inspection and some other small things. Failed the inspection because of an exhaust leak. I was offered multiple choices to fix the exhaust, but couldn’t swing it at the time. Going back in two weeks to get the job done. Also was informed about items to keep an eye on. These guys are thorough!

From A to Z the experience was perfect. Beginning with the ease of making an online appointment, to receiving outstanding service from Chris when I arrived, to the clean loaner, and an expeditious completion of my vehicle at a reasonable cost. LOVE the text communications and ability to track the car in progress. Then top it off with online service history. Well done team - my first visit, but surely not my last, I'll be back!

I had a recurring problem with the intake manifold that I'd had replaced twice at a different shop. I gave up on them, found Motorcar Alternatives, and the decision has panned out very well. Awesome people who wanted to solve my problem just as much as I did. Replacing the intake manifold is no small job, and when I came to pick up my car I was shown exactly what went wrong with the old part (which was quite a list). Been running smoothly since! ?

A very professional auto repair shop with a great reputation in the local area. Extremely honest mechanics that don’t try to scam any customers (coming from a woman). I also love the clean and very comfortable waiting room and loaner cars available if you can’t stay and wait.

My tires were replaced today in preparation for the winter ahead. The service is always exceptional, informative and friendly. I’ve been coming here for about 20yrs. The use of a free vehicle while my auto is being serviced is a big plus. I highly recommend!

Very unsatisfied with service and inability to remain fair and consistent. Would not give me an inspection sticker because my tires go beyond my fender, absolutely fine - i get it! However, how did my best friend's vehicle get an inspection sticker a few weeks prior even though her tires also go beyond the fender. If your going to hold true to the "penny" rule then you need to hold true across the board and not pick and choose. Consistency and fairness is the foundation of a strategic business model and how a business should be run - unfortunately this business has missed the boat big time.

I'm a long time customer here. I was referred by a co worker when I moved to the area. And as promised they do fantastic work. Ive never had to bring my vehicle back for the same problem twice. And they have been upfront and HONEST every single time. Add the free loaner vehicle and very fair pricing it's no wonder that I recommend people to go here. Thanks for being a fantastic business!

Service was great very clear . Problem is they serviced my car with out my consent by performing diagnostics at a fee that matched the inspection fee at 45 dollars bringing the total to twice what it was supposed to be . When confronting the situation trying to find a remedy and asking if it was corporate or private in order to find the owner or owning company I was met with get off my property or I’ll call the police . Again service is top notch for all that it’s worth the management is lacking in all respects unless your handing over money .
