Acton Transfer Station is where we recycle food waste, other waste products, and trash. It us well run with helpful proprietors.

What a wonderful way to facilitate the reuse of unwanted items and materials. This is what the planet truly needs.

Acton Transfer station is very well managed. Clean and organized.

Thank you for bringing back the compost. I am so glad that the town makes this available for us. We also use the mulch--I would love that chips were available more often. These products make it so much easier to establish sustainable maintenance routines. Again, thank you for providing these to residents.

Today was hazardous disposal day. It took about 20 minutes to role through line, stop to be unloaded and go out the exit. Well done!!

Excellent and knowledgeable staff

Lived in Acton 23 years and visited the transfer station for the first time last week. I spoke with two employees and both were very helpful and courteous. I trust it wasn't just because I'm an old person.

You know that weird thing that happens sometimes where you start talking to someone and they raise their voice and change their tone of voice when talking to you, but not with other people? And you happen to notice that your skin color differs from that of the others around you? So this happened when I was talking to one of the older employees (gentleman in his 60s or 70s) at this transfer station. I brought in a large amount of brush to discard and wanted to know how much I had to pay (it was much larger than what they'd usually get) and he screamed "can I help you" when I knocked and then came in the transfer station entry building. He then pretended to look up the price for the brush for about 5mins and eventually said I didn't have to pay. Additionally he was quite cordial with everyone else who came in. It's amazing that the town employs such rude and possibly racist staff.

This place is well taken care of by the employees. It's very easy to dump your yard waste, anything that can be composted, all recyclables and trash here. The swap shop is an amazing treasure hunt.

I think they are careful, thoughtful and manage the facility well. I would like to see more support for citizen understanding recyclable stuff - there are so many interchangeble materials in packaging, products from other parts of the world.
