They were so incredibly kind and helpful. Honestly, every time I go in there, the customer service is top-notch and their prices are even better than the big box stores like Home Depot. The quality here is unmatched and the guys I dealt with were super helpful, which I needed because I was all over the place with what I thought I needed. They offer delivery service too if needed.
In an effort to spend my dollars locally, where they mean the most, I went over to National Lumber for some packing supplies. Before I fully crossed the threshold into the store, the clerk took one glance at me, let out an exasperated sigh, and rolled his eyes. I met his expression towards me with a smile, pretended to look for items and left. If you’re brown, do them a favor and don’t shop here.
They have wood. Alot of wood. Like think about the biggest pile of wood, it's more than that.

I don’t understand all these bad reviews. These guys were super helpful in the yard and helped me find everything I needed. They also offered to deliver what I couldn’t load to the job site for me that same day. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks again!
The person at the desk was rude and combative. I walked 4 miles round trip with a broken leg so I could fix my fence. I did not care for the experience, and withdrew my request for lumber, and will not be using this place.
This business has ZERO interest in helping customers.!
Went to buy supplies, left with empty hands due to lack of service, I knew exactly what I needed, asked a worker and not helpful at all instead had a cigarette in his mouth half the time we spoke to him then said go to the front office he can help, we did and was even worse the man behind the counter didn't offer anything or other options we may have to do our project.
It seemed they focused on contractors ONLY.!!!
If this is the case, so do yourself a favor and hang a Big sign outside this building to let people know if you don't know what you want, don't come here. Will Never stop by here again !!
Rude and unprofessional. They were extremely rude to my wife when she went in there while I was at work. My wife said she has to go to the car to grab her phone and the guy at the counter told her to hurry up and rolled his eyes everytime my wife would say something. But of course he wouldn't dare to behave the same way towards the muscle head who went in after my wife. Next time I will be going in and hope he's ready for the same treatment.
Delivery drivers pick another load instead because you might be stuck for hours and hours waiting for receiving to come out. They clearly don't care it's like people are forced to come to work no one wants to be there to work.
As a contracted delivery driver, my experience here is far from pleasant. I have gotten treated so poorly at this location, that I have increased my trucking rate by $300.
I'm treated as an inconvenience, and they're extremely rough on my trailer. There is no need to repeatedly bump a $50,000 trailer with the mast of a forklift. It just shows how little they care..
They have a decent selection in stock, but nothing like Moynihan. Customer service is the worst. We’re not their everyday customers, so we get treated like dirt on the bottom of their shoes. Smaller customers are still paying customers. I’ll go anywhere else if given the choice.
Very bad customer service, inside office or outside and this’s not my first or second time I’m a contractor and try this place for about 4 times and get disappointed , I’ll never return again
tuesday november 10th 4:47pm had a bad experience with the only person up front working the register. I wanked in there at 4:50 10 minutes before they closed. asked the gentleman where in the yard the pressure treated wood was. he said he didn't have when I was looking for and he suggested that I call a fence company instead of showing me where it was. im assuming because they were closing soon. so I went out into the lumberyard and found the pressure treated that I needed of course once he realized I was staying and not leaving he let me know that they do close at 5 and I finished his sentence before he said it. you get that feeling when you're dealing with somebody who is more concerned about themselves than their job. walking back with the 4 by 4 pressure treated and my 3 year old daughter, he had closed the gate and left it open one foot. not enough for even my daughter to get threw nevermind me and the piece of wood. I left at 4:57 extremely disappointed in the service. I won't return when I build my next house for any of my customers, or my own home, and I'm going to make sure that anyone in the trade that I know I will try to persuade them from ever coming into this store. You would never get treated like this at Moynihan lumber in Beverly. if it wasn't so late I would have gone there. oh yeah and I left the pressure treated there after what he did with the gate. they should just advertise 4:30 because that's probably the last moment you'll ever get help from a place like that if you ever do.
