Customer service is about pleasing the customer. Joe is very knowledgeable and usually has everything in stock. If he doesn’t have what you need he will go out of his way to get it in for you the next day! That’s customer service!
I’ve been to this store 5 times because it’s right down the street and I try to support local businesses before big box. It’s been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. One occasion I just walked out and left my stuff at the counter because the older man at the counter was so rude. And this last time I walked out because again he had the same attitude. Not sure what his problem is. The other times I was able to make a purchase. This is not how you run a business. I don’t expect people to be fake or overly friendly, but I do expect some common courtesy. I’ll never visit this establishment again.
It took me over 40 mins from the moment I was helped at the desk to walking out. This has been by far the absolute slowest most arduous parts store trip I've ever had

A nice place to go along with great service. Went there looking for some headlight bulbs. Met Joe, told him what I needed, he goes over to his long stack of reference "bibles", about 6' ft wide ,both sides of his "office " area. In less than a minute he finds the model number, he says he'll be right back, goes out back, grabs two small boxes of bulbs and puts them on the counter, what else you need, he says . Alset, paid, transaction FANITO, less than 5 minutes. The gentleman never used a computer, there is a man who knows what he's doing, knows the buisineses, knows his store. Great customer service, knowledge, and seems like a nice guy, to both. I'll definitely be back, thank you.
PS. Don't try to steal his pen, he's very attached to it, Haha !
Salem NAPA is an excellent choice for getting the “correct the first time” auto part for your repair or replacement for pre winter jobs! They offer a premium and economy part choice on many parts ( I get the premium as they are as good as oem Japan at this point! Joes a focused parts machine of a guy who loves what he does along with the other pros working here! A+ Consistently
Came in to get a car battery. Simple transaction, one would think. Older guy at counter is one of the rudest people I ever met. How is this place still in business?
Joe the guy at counter knows his stuff I go there all the time for parts . If Joe doesn't have it in stock 90% of the time he will get it delivered by the next day. Quick and easy service
Good hours. The guy will get your parts for you. Cheaper than the dealership or the mechanic. You can learn a lot of stuff you can fix on your car on YouTube and buy the stuff there.
This place seems to have everything, that all other places don't. When it comes to finding that one part that you need now, this is the place to come. Great service and competitive prices are another Plus for this business.
I’ve known Joe for 30 years he is very knowledgeable he gets the part right the first time. I drive from Gloucester to get my parts for me and friends. They don’t get any nicer than Joe and his wife!!! 5 Stars All the Way!!!
