Our group had just played Lighthouse Sound earlier that day with zero issues. We should have been able to easily finish this round before dark but waited on every hole. We had to stop at 16 because of dark. The GPS said we were 45 minutes behind pace. At $149, most would expect the management to at least try to keep up pace of play. The manager in the clubhouse afterwards only offered something like "you have no idea how hard it is keeping up the pace of play on weekends". Guess what, we all have difficult jobs but are expected to do them. Beautiful, challenging course but poorly managed. Won't be coming back anytime soon.

Wow! What can I say that other golfers haven't already said. What a great use of a historic horse racing facility! Some of the holes just made your jaw drop! Very helpful and friendly staff. Well organized and in great shape for this time of year. Absolutely recommend this course to anyone who likes a challenge!

Great Experience - played Man O War while in town on a short trip. The Greens were lush, the Fairways were fair and my inexperienced wife loved the ladies tees (More realistic than our home course). First time she finished a complete 18 rounds while playing with me. Staff was Great - there was no confusion of figuring out where to go and how to do it.

Went here on an annual guys golf trip . Had a amazing time. We played both Man of war and War Admiral very good time . Steve at the pro shop was great on sending me my sunglasses to my house after leaving them in my cart . Thank you guys so much for the hospitality.

Loved the layout and the course was in good shape. A few bare spots but that’s to be expected this time of the year. We teed off at 0800. The greens were cover in dew which made them very slow and were like that most of the day. All in all had a good round. I would definitely play it again.

Am I crazy? Played both GR courses as a group of 8 and we couldn’t have been any more disappointed. This was an absolute shock for us because we’ve played the courses before on multiple occasions and were stunned by the condition. Every green was so overwatered that it was like putting on a plinko green. It didn’t matter the size of any golfer. Every step we took left a footprint so by the end of the day, putting on the spongy greens was an adventure in bumps left, bumps right, bumps in the air. The tee boxes were in rough shape. Two stars because the staff were excellent. But all eight of agreed that it likely wasn’t worth a return visit. I do acknowledge reality courses are a challenge because you don’t have members taking care of divots, bunkers, etc. But when the course conditions are as rough as they were, it obvious others felt no need to care for the course. Too bad and like anything, maybe we caught it in a bad day, but these five star reviews are hard to comprehend.

Great course, great staff. Range balls available with round. Staff assisted with getting into my locked vehicle much faster than a AAA response.

Played the Blue tees on Man O War. It's a bit short even though I don't hit the ball that far. Managed a pretty good +1 over par when I double bogeyed the 18th.

I love this course but staff is a trainwreck. This is the 3rd time I played the course and all 3 times it was raining when we arrived. Absolutely nowhere to go to get out of the rain while we waited to T off. The starters were in their shack and gave us no direction while they were trying to stay dry. I love playing this course but this will be the last time we play there. There are way too many excellent courses in this area to put up with sub par service and efficiency

Played both courses June 2025. Both challenging but fair, and were in great shape. Bring your sunblock because there isn't too much cover, especially on Man O' War.

Really enjoy the golf there. Courses are laid out well and can be challenging, especially 9 and 18 on war admiral course. The people who work there are great and some very interesting horse racing history. My only negative is that there is lots of goose poop on both courses but man o war can be really tough.

I have always loved both courses. Veteran's weekend I played and the War Admiral was in the worst conditions I have ever experienced. Very disappointed. Bare spots, around the greens and fairways. Positive greens were pretty nice. Feedback is a gift and free. Need some maintenance. Man O’ War. The greens were good as always, the course was in better shape than The members course War Abmiral. But there were a few fairways and green surrounds that could use some care.

Played Man O'War today. The course was in great shape. Tee boxes at this time of year are usually beat up; not this course. The range is great and is included in the price. It was my first time playing and all the employees gave excellent information about each hole.

GlenRiddle Golf Courses are a true gem for golfers of all levels. The courses are meticulously maintained, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making every visit a pleasure. The scenic beauty of the courses adds to the overall enjoyment, creating a memorable golfing experience. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience today at the GlenRiddle Golf Clubs 'Man O War' course today. Even though there was a lot of people the staff were more than professional and accommodating to my group. Staff was very knowledgeable about the history of GlenRiddle which was an added plus for me. Course had a good pace of play and cannot wait to come back!!!

Played both courses on 10/13/23 and overall both were in great shape. Bermuda grass was starting to go dormant so isn't wasn't plush but still in great shape. Staff was friendly and helped out with some tips to keep you out of trouble. There is a Ruth Chris Steak house in site if you want to have a great steak. War Admiral is the more difficult course with forced carries and more hazards/OB. It has more holes by marsh and the wind plays more of a role. I would recommend playing one tee closer than normal. Man O' War is links style you can break out the driver and hit away. Bunkers guard every green, but we're in great shape. I would easily recommend this to play if you're in the area.

There are two courses here. We played War Admiral. It is a real challenge with water holes, carries over huge waste areas, crowned greens and strategically placed bunkers and uneven terrain. Course was in excellent shape.

Had a fantastic round today at Glen riddle Manowar course. The starters were friendly and helpful. The fact that they give you free ice and a huge bucket of range balls for 55 dollars at 2pm is a deal! When the starter comes to get you for your t time From the range you feel like a pro ?? the course was in great shape without a dent in the fairways and greens. Ball was flying over those links hills even low runners went for days. This was my first time here and I hope not the last

4>5 Stars... The course looks great. The conditions were well worth the price. Not too many carry-holes( we high hc players get beat-up) The greens were in very good shape. Most bunkers we're playable. The pro shop is large & filled with lots of attire. Carts were swift. Tee boxes were fair. The snack shop was out of Chkn Salad two days in a row.. Cart Girl was nice but seeing her more often wouldn't hurt. The staff was very helpful

Had the opportunity to play both. War Admiral and Man O War. War Admiral is definitely the harder of the two. It's a very specific shot making course, not alot of room to spray it. Man O War is more playable for all golfers

A very well kept course located around a beach home community. Was a balanced experience of golfing near homes to being disconnected and enjoying the greenery. Some fun, challenging holes both in distance and hazards. Enjoy some Polaroids of some scenic backdrops.

Beeeeeaaaaauuuutiful course. Was in grate shape. It rained hard yesterday, but the course took it well. The pot bunkers were epic, carts came with divot mix and a cooler. Plus they have digital scorecards on touch screen. Ruth Chris’s was great. Very friendly staff. Take your bags from car, put them in the cart, fill coolers full of ice, and then wipe down your clubs after. Played scramble and had an absolute blast. All staff was super professional. Only constructive criticism I would give would be to have some hot dogs on the beer cart. Other than that it was great.

Played War Admiral on Thursday. The course was in awful shape, except for the greens. No defined edging around the bunkers. The fairways seemed to be reseeded, which wasn't mentioned to me at all, but there were definitely different types of grass making up the fairway, and several dead patches throughout. Much of the rough contained significant dead grass from mowing that wasn't blown away. The greens were being watered in multiple holes manually, as we were hitting our approach shots. This was a late morning tee time. And on top of it, they made it cart path only, on a day where the real feel was 110 degrees, and once again, that wasn't mentioned at all either until the starter told us at the first tee. This course is in terrible shape. What happened?

Awesome round on Man O’ War course. Course is beautiful and in great shape. Challenging greens and pin placements will give you a run for your money but makes is even more fun. Employees were very friendly and the carts had GPS and coolers with ice. Warm up on the range, fill up your cooler and hit that little round ball for a great round of vacation golf.
