This review is long overdue. In August, on my way from NJ to camp in Assateague my clutch gave out on my 2009 Honda Fit. After some failed attempts to find a mechanic who could take care of me timely, I found Racetrack. AAA towed my car from my campsite (I made it to my campsite but that was the last my clutch would engage…), Racetrack took care of me in time to finish my vacation and leave for home. They were professional and fair with the price, which being far from home was greatly appreciated. Thank you to the people at Racetrack for giving me the freedom of mind to enjoy me week in Assateague!!!

We were on our way home from North Carolina to NJ. We were riding on a donut because we thought a tire had a slow leak. After driving too many miles on the donut, I found Racetrack on Google. I called and they looked at the car within 10 minutes of calling. In less than an hour they pumped 60 pounds of air into the tire and tested it in water, and they determined there wasn’t anything wrong with the tire and didn’t even charge us for their labor. The employees were so kind and helpful and I never expected no charge. Highly recommend!

Second Gen always satisfied customer! Trusted for both routine and major repairs; as well as for drop in “reassurance” for strange occurrences. And front desk is always willing to check tire pressure!

We have always trusted Racetrack with all of our vehicles for years. This last experience went way Above & Beyond. After a tireless effort, several road tests and research to diagnose an issue with our 2017 Audi TT, it was determined that we needed to get it to an authorized Audi dealer. Not only were they extremely helpful in dealing with the pick-up process, they did not charge anything for all of their time and efforts while investigating the problem. I realize that they didn't fix it but most other garages would have charged a diagnostic fee. Thanks Mike & Erica!

My family spent a wonderful week in Ocean City, MD. On the final day of our vacation we woke to find a flat tire on our car. because it’s AWD that meant we needed two tires. The first place we called gave us an ETA that would have put us 4 days over our trip and we were supposed to drive back to Florida the following day. Then I called Mike at Racetrack. Not only did he have the tires we needed, he also said he would get them mounted and balanced before the end of the day. They got us back on the road and did so at a very reasonable price. I was in a pinch this morning and needed my tire plugged before heading back up the road. Erica was very accommodating and the team had me back on the road in within 90 minutes. Highly recommend!

We were on vacation and my van started having issues. My calibers locked up and we were fortunate that race track auto was able to get us in without an appointment. They ended up having to keep it overnight and the rotors, calibers and brakes had to be replaced. They arrange for us to get a ride back to our room free of charge. They also arrange for us to get a ride back to the auto repair shop the following day. I don't know what we would have done without them. They were very helpful and got my van fixed and running like new They were very reasonable on the price for the repair too. They even called a day later to make sure everything was good with the van. I was visiting family and ended up with a flat tire. I called and they had me to drop off the car and tire. They had me fixed and out the door within four hours! Not only did they deliver fast service, they also greeted me with kindness, professionalism, and overall excellent service. My rating 10 +++++! I would highly recommend them to help you out with your tire services!!

Racetrack Auto is my new “Go-To” spot for professional and timely auto service! They fit me in last minute for a tire issue and had me in and out in 20 minutes!

I took my car in for 100,000 mile check up. I had an appointment for this big service. I told the girl when I brought my car in that I wanted the rear brakes replaced. I was told they would check. I said fine but they were close and I wanted them fixed while they had the parts in stock at the current price. The brakes were not done. So I can make another appointment and bring the car back later this week or next. Being without a car for service is inconvenient but necessary. My point is they didn’t listen to me, the customer. A note could have been written on the ticket and the mechanic could have called but that wasn’t done.

Asked them to repair two flat tires. One tire still flat, had to come in the shop and help their tech find the nail in the tire, spoke to me as if it didn’t exist, and then they over inflated all my tires by 10 lbs over absolute max. Definitely won’t be back.

Had one up stream oxygen sensor put in on driver side cost was 353 dollars 6 months later had the same job done on passenger side up stream replaced at a different garage cost was 284 dollars ???????? GREEDY !! They are just as bad as mike dent auto. Also if u need any major work done just go to the car dealer because all the auto shops around here charge the same price as they do.And most of there reviews are from woman that wouldn't know the difference if they were getting ripped off all they know is what kind of servise there getting?? And this is a good one ,had an oil change before i went to florida looked at the receipt when walking out to truck and it said that they rotated my tires well i didn"t want them rotated. So i go back in and ask the girl did they rotate the tires and she said YES ! So i go back out to the truck to check the tires and sure enough they did not flip them i had a scrached up rim on the passenger side and same rim was still there ?? FUNNY HOW THIS PLACE GOT SOME BAD REVIEWS THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN PEOPLE START PUTTING IN REVIEWS LIKE THE PLACE IS THE BEST AROUND ????????? AMAZING 2/21/25 OK FOLKS !!!! this story just got better got a code three days ago for upstream oxygen sensor now this was the one this place put in for me around a year and a half ago called the ford dealer in Pittsville got an appointment for today. When i got there told the guy that both upstream sensors were replaced less than two years ago, he said ok let me check them. He comes back says the upstream driver side is bad and said if its a motorcraft sensor they will give me credit for it because its under 2 years old. So he takes it off and sure enough its aftermarket ? If racetrack would have put motorcraft in the first place it would have save me Aggravation Inconvenience and Money.

This shop is really great. I have been coming here for quite a while and have always left with a good experience. And, my next oil change will be free.

Avoid Race Track Auto! Terrible Service, Overcharging, and Unresolved Issues I took my partner’s car to Race Track Auto to have the brakes, calipers, rotors, and starter fixed. After paying nearly $1,500, we were assured everything was repaired and ready to go. However, immediately after picking it up, we noticed the car started shaking at around 60 mph—an issue that had never occurred before. When we contacted them, we had to deal with an unhelpful and arrogant front desk staff member before being told to bring the car back. After inspecting it, they admitted they “missed” the front rotors and brakes and were originally going to charge an additional $800 to fix their mistake. They eventually “generously” took $200 off, citing the inconvenience, but we still ended up paying $600 more, bringing the total to $2,100. It doesn’t stop there—while fixing the starter, they claimed the car “still wasn’t starting” after installation, raising concerns about whether the work was done correctly. And even after the second round of repairs, the car still shakes at highway speeds and the brakes are making rough noises. It’s clear they didn’t thoroughly check or properly complete the work. My partner, who is younger, was blatantly taken advantage of during this process. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and predatory pricing is inexcusable. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to avoid Race Track Auto at all costs. Don’t waste your time or money on a shop that overcharges and leaves you with unresolved issues.

Excellent and Timely Service I got there when requested and they were ready for me. The service was quick and very professional. I definitely recommend going here. I was even able to walk over to the diner for breakfast and my car was ready about 10 minutes after I retirned. Thank you.

They are okay for anything amateur hour such as flat tires or oil changes. For anything serious, I highly recommend avoiding them. The mechanics are seriously unqualified. The hiring standards have lowered tremendously over the years.

We are from NY and in OCMD for vacation. Our brake line broke while we were out to lunch and were stranded at 4pm. Within 10 mins of calling for a tow they were able to get our car to the shop. An hour after the car was dropped off they already looked at the issue and told us the brake line blew. By 10AM the next day the car was ready. We appreciate the team and the fact that they took care of our car so quick so that our vacation wasn’t even altered. If I were local, I’d bring my car here for everything.

We are from out of town. We got a flat tire and stopped by their shop for help. I had broken the valve stem and needed a new sensor. They were able to help us out immediately and get it fixed while we spent an hour at the casino. They also put the spare tire back up underneath the car, which saved me a ton of work. Very friendly and quick to help. I would recommend this place.

My new go to repair shop. My brakes were making weird noises so I took my car in to have it checked and was dreading the call figuring it was going to cost a chunk of money to fix. Instead I got a call that said my brakes were fine it was just caused from not being used while I was out of town. They didn’t even charge me for the diagnosis. What a wonderful honest shop. They have a new loyal customer as a result. Five star recommendation!

Went in to fix a problem with the engine light on.. It turned out to be a bad sensor. The service rep was very courteous and helpful. Since we were from out of the area, they worked us into their busy schedule, and the car was repaired and returned to us at 3pm the next day. No problems since.

Was having issues with Honda Pilot not blowing heat……stopped in to make appointment for repair. From the warm greeting from the receptionists to the expertise of the mechanics to diagnose and make the repair, this business exceeds standards. Awesome shop and people. While on vacation we got a screw in a tire. Called around to several shops and this was the only one that could get us in the following day. Showed up at the appointment time. Within minutes they pulled our car in to the shop. Check the tire and removed the screw. The damage was not as bad as we thought and there was no leak. The manager/owner came out and explained there was no damage to the tire and did not charge us for the service. I strongly recommend this shop. Looks like they do alot of repairs to law enforcement vehicles. Friendly staff and quick.
