I don't know what has happened to this location. It used to be great. I live in Salisbury and would hold up buying anything from any other location until I was in Berlin again. The guys were always super helpful but this chick they've hired? Yeesh. I went in there to buy new wiper blades as I had done many times before. Get a guy. No issues. Get her. Nothing but issues. I didn't know the exact details on the Jeep that I have (Sport, Ltd, etc.) and she acted as though I had asked her for her first born child. I offered to go back out and bring in the paperwork on it. No response. She just kept on typing and asking me questions that I had already told her I didn't know the answer to. She eventually pulled two wipers. One was $21+. Apparently, the other one costs a left kidney because my total had come up to over $80. I told her that I had never spent that much money on wipers before and wasn't going to now and walked out. Looks like it's time to find a new shop. Maybe their competitors right up the road?

After a very long week and dealing with tourist traffic, I found myself at Advance. Have been a customer for years. A kind lady named Penny waited on me and somehow read my mind. I was mainly there to get the top of the line Purolator filter and some oil. Nobody else sells these filters! Thank you, Penny and Advance. She automatically brought that filter to me as I was selecting the oil.

I had a exhaust pipe snap off while at the beach, the knowledgeable staff got the the exact part I needed and even let me borrow a tool I didn't think I needed. Great people, great prices. Very helpful

Cannot say enough good things about the amazing staff here! Specifically, Tyler was on of the most helpful people I have ever encountered at a parts store, but everyone was a huge help as I worked to fix my daughter’s car, which had several problems on our way to our vacation!

I first called about a car battery and talked with Tyler. On arrival I met Tyler who remembered the call. He walked me to the batteries picked the 1 I needed carried it to the register then walked with me getting a cpl other items. As I finished getting me list he offered me a bottle of a product from his car saying he doesn't need it. I didn't end up taking his offer but this is the 1st time something like this has happened. Tyler provided customer service over and above. 5*****

Soooo if you are a girl or own a jeep....don't go to this location. An employee made it know he cant stand Jeep Week. We bought a headlight....mind you we knew what we needed and he question us if we knew. He looked it up and very quietly told us were right. Shocker.....I know....but some girls know what they are doing.

Best Place for Quick Diagnostic Help. Sure thought I Needed a New Alternator. Almost a $600.00 item for my Vehicle...on a Saturday yet. Would have sweated bullets till Monday to call my Mechanic. Got a hotshot and drove to Advance Auto. Told Alternator was great, problem was the Battery. Problem solved in 10 minutes...no garage fees, Mechanic fees or downtime and it only cost me a new Battery. Love these Guys.

Some of the nicest people I have ever done business with!!!!!! I wish every store had staff like this location. I was on vacation with a couple of trailer and boat mechanical issues and they went the extra mile 2 separate times to help me.

I went here to get a new windshield wipers for my daughter's car. She was traveling back to college after the holiday and the rubber on her wiper had come loose. The gentleman came out in the pouring rain to install it. Really happy with the price and service!

Horrible customer service. The blonde gentleman with gauged ears “helped” us. My check engine light was on, he went out and plugged it in and said it was my 5th cylinder when I asked what it could be he rudely repeated himself and said he would get us the part to fix it. We all went back in and he started doing his own thing. Then I asked him if he was going to get us the part, and his friend walked in. He then just came out from behind the counter and went outside with his friend to chill. Another guy helped us.. He told us to check the coils and plugs, and said if we were mechanically inclined we could figure it out on our own. Then their food was delivered and we were all forgotten. We were there standing around waiting to be helped for 45-60 mins in total, we ended up just leaving. I went to a reputable mechanic in my local area and he ran it in the system and the codes came up without mentioning a cylinder! Terrible and will never be back!

I appreciate Sito and Jared so much, they got us back on the road to get home. I recommend them to anyone with their auto needs, go to advance auto in Berlin, thank you Jared and Sito from the bottom of my heart. Go see them and they will take care of you.

Called over 30 times to see if there was a part in stock that I needed. Instead of answering the phone and asking to place me on hold someone only picked up the phone to hang it back up immediately. This happened 4/30 times that I called. Finally someone answered and told me to deal with it because they just got there and “weren’t even clocked in yet, bruh”. Unbelievable. Would not recommend if you’re looking for friendly customer service.

Sito was so helpful, my friend broke down. He got us back on the road. Great guy to have on the advance team!If he's not in management ,he needs to be! Thanks again, Portsmouth va.

Both my headlights would not come on at night, so I rushed to this store before it closed. I checked all fuses and all were good. Couldn't get the bulbs out because of location and how tight it was on to check if the were burnt out. I went in to get everything it could be just in case since I was from out of town and didn't have anything with me to solve the issue. 2 employee's came out to help me, one which was off and had just stopped in. They both tried to get the light bulbs out but couldn't. Finally, Jared came out after getting off ready to go home and came over to offer help. In no time Jared was able to remove the stuck bulbs and pop in the new ones I bought. My wife and 2 kids in the car crossing our fingers I turned the lights on and there was light! Jared saved our day/night and trip! We were very grateful Jared took the time on his way home to help us so we can get to our destination Safely. The following day I went back to return the other items I had bought just in case as the registers were already shut down the night before. The return and refund was fast and smooth, thanks to Jared again. I asked to speak with the manager and I let him know the outstanding customer service I received and how valuable Jared and the 2 others employee's are to the company. The manager could have been a bit more helpful and receptive.

Guys were extremely rude. Didn't answer my question until I spoke with manager in calm manner explaining my problem to her. Ignored me for 10 minuets before providing me with any customer service and then still was annoyed with me for coming in when the store was dead, like they didn't want to be bothered. My suggestion is to go elsewhere which is sad cuz I've always gone to advanced. Shame on staff, hope management deals with issue before they lose more customers.

Need car parts? Need to know what parts you need? Just want to find some new tools and accessories? The guys here will help you with smiles. This is the first place I go when I need breaks, filters, tools, etc. And if I cant find it there, they can try to either find it for you or order it. They also have rental tools that they'll let you rent, or use if you stay on the property. Seriously, this is the best place to try to find what you need.

My husband and I were visiting the Ocean City area for the Car Cruise when our vehicle started to need some attention! Of course we searched for an Advance Auto, because we deal with them daily on a commercial basis. Luckily we found the one on Ocean Gateway in Berlin, MD! We were not disappointed! Travis, the parts expert that helped us, went above and beyond. He greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, and was very helpful in getting us what we needed! He even let me use his car to get a couple of items from another store that Advance did not have in stock! It is very comforting to know that wherever we go, we have Advance Auto and its employees to count on!

I ordered and paid for my part online and was able to walk in and pick it up and get it installed in no time. They even have loaner tools that made it more convenient and I was able to install my part on the spot.

These guys on rt.50 (very close) did everything they could to help us.Because of them we were able to save about $100 of vacation money for vacation.Lent me tools to replace front brakes.Unexpected repair while on vacation😲. Calm down make the call.No worries! Thanks again A.A.P.!

Nobody wants to have a dead battery on vacation, but if this happens to you, take comfort in the fact that Sito and Joe are here to help. Not only did they save me about 50 dollars over AAA or the dealership, they installed the new battery quickly and for free. I was back on the road in less than 15 minutes. There are not enough stars to complement the friendliness and professionalism of these two individuals. The company is very fortunate to have such great people working for them. They turned an unfortunate event into a surprisingly enjoyable experience.

Joe and Sito just made my day...these two men replaced a battery for my ML 350 which Mercedes was unable to do, it was not a easy job, but these two gentlemen took time out to replace the battery with professionalism and a positive attitude and saved me about $100.00. The workplace needs more great people like these two! Thanks You!

I stopped into Advanced Auto Parts in Berlin this afternoon. I am from Pittsburgh and needed help with my windshield wiper. Barbara was so pleasant and nice. Advanced needs more employees like her.

The gentleman there (I am terrible with names, sorry) was so helpful. I called about an hour before they closed for a new battery for my kia. Told me it was available and that he could install it. So got my car jumped and rushed right over there. Great people, great service. I am so greatful. Thank you.

This is the best auto parts store by far. They do a wonderful job handling all of the summertime tourism that can sometimes overwhelm them and yet they are still able to maintain personal relationship they have with their local customers. I would give this place more stars if I were able.
