My niece's 2009 Mazda 3 developed an overheating issue and was stranded on the side of the road. She called me for assistance and I brought the vehicle to Nick of Time Automotive. Additionally, the hood release was non functional. The Mazda 3 needed some TLC after a few years of neglect. I asked Nick to perform a thorough assessment to get the Mazda 3 back to good working order. Nick was able to resolve the hood release issue and fixed the overheating problem. He even stayed late after the shop closed to perform some diagnostics. I knew the front struts were shot after driving it to the shop. I requested that the struts be replaced. Upon further inspection the CV axel was in disrepair. Nick saved me some labor time by replacing both parts at the same time. Nick kept me apprised every step of the way and offered several alternatives. He is honest, insightful, thorough and empathetic. I would highly recommend him. My niece and grand nephew are now riding safely. Thanks Nick. Job well done!

Nick is very honest, reasonably priced, and also takes the time to answer your questions as to why he suggests to do or not do something repair wise. I have a 2013 Honda civic and was tired of being fear mongered by the people down in Autostream about replacing this or that in my car just because of it's age. Nick and the mechanics in the shop were very professional too (no nosy or unprofessional small talk) which was refreshing.

I really appreciate how honest and thorough Nick was with making sure that my car was taken care of so that it was safe to drive. I also liked how much he was willing to explain to me and even show me the brake pads he took off my car to ensure that I felt confident with the repairs he was making and why. The parking lot may be small but the waiting room is comfortable and prices are more than fair for the fantastic service. Will absolutely be back!

Nick has been my go to Mechanic for my 2017 Dodge Durango, 171k and going. He has been a calming voice in my dealer induced panic and wouldn't let me to throw money at it. He recommends to only do what's needed to keep the car running and been doing an awesome job keeping it running.

Honest confession: I have lived in the area for over 20 years and would always see the Nick of Time sign on Reisterstown Rd. I would always say to myself..."Nah, I'm not going there, they use clip art in the logo." Well...that was most-dumbest graphic designer instinct I have ever had, LOL. I went to Nick (only because someone I know highly recommended them)...and I felt sooooo stupid. Nick of Time is freaking AWESOME!!! If I could kick myself, I'd do it for all the times I took my vehicle someplace else over the years. Nick and his team got me feeling safe in my truck again...no dash lights lit anymore, and it drives fantastic! Nick also explained everything that needed to be addressed on my truck (steering, suspension, exhaust, blah, blah, blah, lol)...Nick of Time is now the ONLY place for me to go. You should too!

I've been taking my cars to Nick since around 2012, and every single time I've had a great experience. If you have questions, he will gladly chat with you for as long as you need and answer them to the best of his knowledge. Great guy running a great shop that I will continue to use as long as I need my cars serviced.

After sending my car here 1000 times over the past year, Nick of Time has solidified their reputation in my book as the best mechanic shop in a 50 mile radius. It’s hard to find a mechanic who has fair prices, is honest, and gets work done quickly. They could have a million cars out front and they will make it feel like your vehicle is the priority. First off, Nick is THE man 💯% This recent visit was my 1st experience at the shop. My issue was my trunk latch on my 2015 Malibu. It was giving me the blues. I took it to Precision Care and they treated me like a meal ticket, plus they stripped the screws holding it in place and didn’t tell me 🤬. I tried to fix the issue and failed miserably. I took the car to Nick (after just a Google search for decent mechanics), and he treated me like royalty. He fixed my issue AND for a discounted & fair rate. This is my preferred mechanic and I’m taking my car up there from now on. Keep up the great work my friend. You made me a believer ✊🏼

I have been going to Nick for at least three times now, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Every visit confirms why he deserves all five stars.. The pricing here is very reasonable. Unlike other places where you feel overcharged, Nick offers fair and competitive rates. You know you're getting good value for your money. What sets Nick apart is his honesty and transparency. I have driven a Lexus for the past 20 years. After my own 5 yr dealer warranty runs out, my first and only choice is Nick of Time Automotive!! I hear stories of how difficult it is to find honest mechanics. I never have to worry with Nick's shop. He is a highly skilled expert at his craft servicing all the vehicles in my household, with safety being his top priority, and secondary not attempting to strain your pockets. Most recently, I had my tires replaced at NTB and they damaged my brakes/caliber/sensor. Nick was able to diagnosis effortlessly and got me in and out. He also kindly waited for NTB to reimburse him. Absolutely Fantastic Person and an Excellent Auto Mechanic... Nick has been a great find for me. I own a 2000 Toyota Camry with over 250k miles on it and every now and then there is something or the other trival failing on it. The dealership usually quotes me an arm and a leg to fix these and Nick some how seems to fix the issue for way less. The best part is, it says fixed. It is very difficult to find good auto mechanics who are honest anymore, Nick is god sent in this area. I am going to dearly miss him when I move out of this area. I will definitely be calling him for any advise I may need in the Automotive realm, for many years to come. I Highly recommend Nick of Time Automotive for all your automotive needs.

Nick is awesome, he's friendly, fair and honest regarding parts and labor. He has done quite a bit of work on my partner's vehicle from diagnostic testing to replacing O2 sensors and a catalytic converter twice and his warranty is outstanding. If labor time can be minimized he does so and reduces your cost accordingly. He saved me $330 in comparison to the dealership for labor and programming of installing my side view mirror on a 2021 Honda Accord sport 2.0T which has a lot of technology built into it.

Took my Lincoln here after the air suspension failed. I told Nick that I was going on vacation for a week and he’d have all the time he needed to diagnose and fix the issue. I was charged a very fair price for the fix, would’ve been thousands at a dealership. After having the car for 1 workday, he diagnosed and replaced the faulty part on a car that some shops refuse to work on due to its age. I go on vacation tomorrow as of writing so the work on the car got done in the Nick of time. Thanks for living up to your name man y’all have got a great thing going. I've only come here a handful of times over the past couple of years but I can't say enough nice things about each visit. The owner is extremely friendly, patient, and honest with his customers. This week in particular, he finished up the work on my car within one day, but was kind enough to accommodate some unexpected delays in my pick-up time. Nick of Time has definitely earned my loyal patronage!

Nick and his employees are excellent mechanics, they’re very detailed and informative. I went in to Nicks yesterday due to a bad hub bearing that was very BAD to the point my wheel was practically about to fall off. So, Nick said that he can take care of it in which he did in a timely manner and with precision. In a few hours later Nick called me and said I was completed. I’ll be having Nick as my mechanic from now on. They were reasonable and straightforward with me through the whole process. Myself and the family has a new mechanic in Nick and all of his employees. Thank you for the great service. And strongly recommend them to whoever needs a mechanic.

If you're here reading reviews because you're on the fence about your next car mechanic, then look no further. We were like a lot of folks that just take the car to dealership when work needs to be done. However, when our alternator started to fail and the dealership quoted an outrageous price, the wife said that maybe we should consider another alternative. Based on all the positive reviews, we gave Nick a call on a Monday morning. We discussed the car's symptoms. Over the phone he provided his opinion on what was the issue and provided an estimate if it was the case. Nick must be popular because he said his next availability would be Friday. However, he told us to drop the car off that night and he would see if he could squeeze it in when he could. As it turned out, Nick had our car done by Tuesday afternoon! The issue was exactly what he determined on the phone and he honored the quote, which was far below the dealership. Nick even went above and beyond with some other thoughtful things like looking up the radio and navigation codes that needed entering after the work completion. He also had our car charging because the battery was low. So, we are going to use Nick's services again when our car needs it. And hopefully if you made it this far in my review, we have convinced you to try Nick of Time as well!

Nick is the absolute best!!! I had a rare occurrence on my 2002 Honda Odyssey that required a mounting bolt to be drilled out of an impossible to reach place, and he still was able to fix it. He works extremely hard and really cares. I own a mobile mechanic business and I don’t even want to be as good as Nick is. It would take 100 years of experience. If anyone ever complains about Nick Of Time, they are completely delusional. Fill your own tires with air at Wawa or Royal Farms for free!! Nick is one of the most honest auto technicians I have ever done business with. He is professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. Unlike other auto service centers, he did not try to upsell me on unneeded services and he fulfilled his commitment to have my car serviced and ready for pickup on time. I live over 10 miles away from Nick of Time, but I would not consider going to any other establishment for service on my vehicle. 5 STARS!!!

My family and I have taken all of our cars to Nicks for years now. He really is the best at what he does! His prices are fair and his work is amazing. Nick took such incredible care of my vehicles when I was in Owings Mills caring for my mom, now that I've relocated to Odenton I'm going to give him a call to get my Bugzila ready for MD inspection. Heck, it's only a 45 minute drive for the best, nost trustworthy car service in the state!

I took my car in for service on the recommendation of a good friend. Nick was awesome! Not only did he come and get the correct key from me when I gave him the wrong one, he also did it with a very good attitude, and he was very communicative about what needed to be done, he had already applied the 10% discount coupon from his website, and he did the work in no time flat! On top of all that, he came and picked me up from my office and took me back to his shop at the end of the day after work because I did not have transportation. Very reasonable prices, highly recommend! It’s not just Nick of Time, it’s Nick all the time! Will bring my car back here from now on, and recommend him to anyone for car services! Nick treats you like you’re a friend, not a customer. I appreciate that!
