Ricca's has saved the day so many times! If you own on old house this place is a gem! Doors, hardware, lights, one of the few places to get medallions, and I even bought a mailbox there! Love Ricca's, shop local!

For those who love salvage, this place is paradise! The warehouse was organized and they had a wide variety and variations of items. The employees were happy to answer my questions and dig things out of hard to reach places for me to look at. We will definitely be back!

If you want to fix the old or bring old into the new, you need to check out the place. It has a lot of rescued architecture. If they dont have it, they can make it for you. They have their own workshop and dipping baths to strip and repair old stuff. I love my monthly visits here.

The absolute best selection and prices that are so reasonable. The customer service is fantastic. They wrapped our door and loaded it for us so the glass wouldn't break.

A-maze-zing!! They have things you would never know existed. We were thrilled to get a brass pocket door fixture. And the finger hole plates to go with it. It polished up so beautifully. There were glass bathroom towel bars from the 20’s or 30’s. We got the two clear ones and went back for the green glass one a day later. I’m so excited to have them.

Absolutely amazing place if you are looking for old doors, old cypress or heart of pine for a project. My wife and I go there often and our home is filled with projects we have built with wood from Ricca!

I went here to get 4 picture window shutter pieces of hardware to hold shutters open, and a latch. The sales person said she had to ask me five or six questions before she sold me the item. She was rude and condescending. I showed her a photo of the shutters. She made fun of the stainless steel hinges which were visible outside which were not cast iron black like the ‘S’ hook type shutter ties (FROM CHINA).🤣🤣 Sorry lady, but after Katrina I had to settle for what was available! I said I would return in 12 minutes to see if the parts would work. Sorry, she said, you pay for it, that’s it. No refund. Therefore, I would be stuck with one shutter tie back for $20 (FROM CHINA)🤣🤣 and no credit towards parts that would work that I might've paid double what part I bought. But no. I had to keep the part. This is poor customer service. After showing me two items (made in CHINA🤣) I settled on one type which holds shutters back. My contractor was at my house (6 minutes away) and I asked her if I buy one and it won’t work can I return it for something that will work? I asked what the return policy was. She said “All Sales are Final ….. Didn’t you read the signs? They are all over the shop?” Really? I’ve never been in the shop. I never got 6ft past the front of it. I won’t go back for anything from this business . Sad that I was treated as though my property wasn’t a more architecturally saved property - and yes, I have vinyl siding instead of wood and automatically deemed ‘not worthy’.

Wow, very impressive, professional craftsmanship. My door is over 100 year's old, could not find anyone who could duplicate the trim archives over the glass. I heard of Ricca's, but didn't think I could afford them, that was before I talked to Julie, she is a very pleasant, patient, knowledge professional lady. I just picked up my door ( 2 weeks early) I can't get over how perfect it looks. If you need restoration done, go to ricca's first, like me you'll be glad you did. Many, many thanks to Julie and staff. Rick Morris

Unreliable, can't be trusted to keep their word. After calling ahead about selling two cypress pillars, I sent three photographs of the features next to a standard doorway to provide scale as well as detailed measurements which said the dimensions were 82 and one half inches tall and 5 and one half inches wide. Julie sent a low offer of $50 each. When we attempted to ask for an offer twenty dollars nearer to their market value, she replied in text that she was firm with her $50 offering. Having gotten that far and with no room to store them, I and two friends loaded the heavy awkward antiques onto a bike trailer and with great effort delivered them five miles away in ninety plus degree heat to Ricca's front door . Just catching our breath we were met by Julie who declared she was going to pass and renigg on her 'firm offer' she had made and we had accepted, claiming she now thought them too short to interest her. This despite having had the photos and dimensions for three hours. REALLY? YES REALLY ....UNPROFESSIONAL and unsympathetic to our trust and efforts.

I was looking for an odd sized replacement door . The salesperson took me to a large selection of old stripped doors and helped me find one that could be sized to fit easily. She also helped with all the hardware as well. Plus its a fun place to look thru if you enjoy old architectural elements.

Very rude, unhelpful and unprofessional staff members. I also experienced a feeling of racism as a few other reviewers mentioned. As well, many rude comments made as if we would not be able to afford items they had to offer. Complete misjudgment on their end. I gave my business elsewhere to Bank Architectural Antiques and spent over $2k on what I was looking to purchase, without be judged on what I can and can't afford!

I had a great time visiting this place. It had all kinds of great stuff. The lighting selection is top tier. The people were very friendly and helpful. The antique ceiling fans were a little high but the fact that they had antique ceiling fans is awesome! I will definitely visit this place anytime I visit NOLA.

Great selection of antique doors with reasonable prices. Amazing customer service. They know their inventory and can you walk to right what you’re looking for. We had a very pleasant experience! Thank you!

Ricca’s has preserved the homes in New Orleans one piece at a time. In the 1980’s the City of New Orleans chose to designated the oldest parts of the city as section 8 housing. Developers stripped the homes of their architectural features and sold them antique dealers paying for shoddy renovations that later left the area a run down mess. Ricca’s has helped owners recreate and restore what has been lost w diligence and knowledge that will one day be lost! But for now walk the aisles and dream of all the gallantry of the 1800’s as you taken in the aroma of cypress and old heart pine. You will be lost and engrossed in the sheer volume of antiquities at Ricca’s!

Very rude staff the younger lady just was very ugly to me I asked her a simple question and she got an attitude with me for really no reason. They sold my customer 1 3/4 exterior doors and interior door handles for a 1 3/8 door so as you can guess the handles didn't work on the doors! All she could say is well that's what the customer wanted. They then sold us something that kind of worked but it still isn't correct. This place is over priced and poor quality will never be back or send another customer here

Excellent service! Got a beautiful mahogany door and some really nice brass hardware, as well as a great repair on a rotten door rail. Lots of knowledgeable staff to help answer questions about finishing.

This place has some amazing and unique items. As an artist I have visited many times to find something to add a wow factor to my home which I am renovating. The only drawback is that the prices can be very steep but still worth a visit especially for reproductions pieces, those are a bit more reasonably priced.

After driving 6.5 hours to NOLA, we discovered Ricca's on the internet then through a recommendation. I found a wide variety of architectural elements for my latest house; from amazing rewired and ready to hang chandeliers, stained glass, very well prices corbels which was the reason for my long drive, and doors, lots of doors. The salesman who helped me was very knowledgable and patient in our 8 hours digging through all of their items, he even bought my friend and I lunch so we could keep looking. The owner was very busy but worked with me on some really awesome deals. They wrapped, packed and loaded all of my purchases for me so I could leave quickly and everything would remain dry in the pre-landing hours of Hurricane Harvey. We felt like family by the time we left. Definitely will be back to Ricca's and recommend it to everyone.

Great selection of doors and windows that is very well organized (far more so than the Bank). Lots of interesting oddities and accessories as well (e.g. church pews, giant chandeliers). They offer delivery for a fee and the staff are pretty funny.

I am only rating one star because I have to give at least one, or trust me, this would be a 0 star rating. This is actually the first review I have ever wrote, but I feel so strongly about my experience there that I need to share! Today I was there, planning to buy over $8,000 worth of cypress shutters from them, plus $1,500 worth of old bricks, iron hinges and very expensive crystal door knobs. Would have been well over a $10,000 sale. As I was making my selections and talking about the old bricks I was looking for, one of the white workers that had been showing us around (whom I initially thought was a nice guy and was also very helpful) made a comment to my mother and I that he doesn't know much about the old bricks because only the "n word" works at the brick yard. We were both completely disgusted by his comment. We are a family that does not entertain any form of racism and I could hardly believe what I had just heard. The owner of this place is also extremely rude and unprofessional, making several nasty comments when we asked him a few price related questions about the bricks, only a few moments after we distanced ourselves from the racist worker! I actually left letting the owner know that he would never have my business. DO NOT give these people a dollar of your money. They are ridiculously over priced, not anything special and absolutely hateful. I have never experienced such a hateful and negative shopping experience in all of my life. There are plenty of great places in Nola that carry the same salvaged materials and offer a positive experience, like the Green Project.
