I mean, this place might as well be the humane society with how many cats they buy. I've been dropping off my catalytic converters here for years nah mean. Frealdoe I used my money from the SS to fund my newest project. I'd like to thank Dusty specifically for buying my first battery powered cutoff wheel for me. Big things happening this year. John M took care of my shop i run downtown and handled us professionally in a timely fashion looking forward to workinf with him again if need be as to we dont often need used parts but it does come up from time to time. Thanks John
Sadly the other negative reviews seem to be correct. I had contacted a site to sell a junk car and then they contracted South Seneca to pick it up. Initially it seemed good, he would be able to pick it up later that day. He would call me back and let me know. So hours went by and I finally called and he apologized that his secretary was supposed to get back to me to set up a time the following day. He assured me that she would call first thing in the morning. Sure enough morning came and no phone call. Finally close to lunch time I gave them a call and he said that he would have to call me back after he talked to another guy. Once again no phone call back. Just a text from the company that was buying my junk car saying that he had terminated the contract hours later. No phone call to me, no text to me, no attempt to contact me what so ever. Thankfully the company contacted another company and fingers crossed I will not have similar issues.
Carrier through cash for cars called to set up time to pick up, confirmation through 2 separate emails, had me waiting there for an hour with my screaming infant. Called the two numbers I had for them one was straight up disconnected and the other was very clearly rejecting my call. Business page says open til 1 pm so went to the business and they were closed.
Supposed to pick up my car they called twice to setup and verify time and place and to make sure i would be home and have proper paperwork. I have everything ready and they no call no show. Wasting my time which i don't have a lot of because of my job. A phone call saying they can't make it would have been all i needed. Definitely won't do business with them anymore
We pulled in and even though their lighted sign out front says copper, brass, and whatever other metals were listed; we were met at the gate and were told that they only take cars. A simple description on Google Maps would eliminate the need to meet people at the gate and then having to help them back out because the entrance is on a busy side street with no room to maneuver a loaded trailer.
Came here and not only did no one help me but when I went to get help the gentleman in the trailer was extremely rude and told me he didn’t buy anything but a few select items. Huge waste of time.
These guys are Top Notch, they are extremely fair people who have set the standard for transparency. There are a great many folks that would benefit tremendously by following the example these guys set. There has never been a time when someone if not multiple persons would take the time to explain why a price is as it is, while sharing advice to help me get the most for my scrap. As we all know some days are so busy and we are just not in the mood to explain everything to someone just to have to do it all over again with the very next customer. Not these super heroes, I've witnessed these guys having an obviously bad day but still take the time to explain to a customer why he is not getting the price expected, and allow them to make modifications to his scrap to get a higher return, only to do this at least 3 if not 4 customers in a row. Even though they shared the same issues. It wasn't a broken record you heard quite the opposite it was a very personable warm friendly and educated persona I experienced behind a smiling face. There are other scrap yards in wichita but none have earned my respect as these guys have. I highly recommend these people.
I've then coming to the scrap yard for a long time. Everyone for the most part has been very nice and I like to think of them as friends somewhat. Or at least a friendly face when I need one. I highly recommend this scrap yard.
Awesome guys. Bobby towed my car yesterday and was very quick to arrive, loaded my car up very quickly, and got to my drop off point in under an hour from when I called them. Professional, prompt, no games, affordable. I have nothing but good things to say about Seneca Scrap. Thank you guys, you were great!
Owner is nice and accommodating, some employees are versed in customer service. This past encounter with them made me only want to return if absolutely necessary. I got hung up on by a female employee while asking about their service hours, well before they were intended to close. Then called back to further inquire with the questions I had and heard her yelling in the background. Then upon arrival, was told they would not service us, although no one felt the ‘customer service responsibility’ to at least let us know that before we spent 15+ min waiting in line.
I don’t understand what the necessity is to brag about how they are the only place open after 4/4:30 but won’t even talk to anyone after the 4:30 mark.
Best place to scrap metal in town, hands down...Quick, to the point, organized system (can get congested at times during busy hours,) but they always seem to provide great assistance regardless of the time/work volume-my questions are always answered & I leave feeling satisfied, overall. The staff is accommodating, polite, friendly, and patient. I appreciate the effort they put in to building & maintaining relationships with customers—treating them with respect, which shows in all aspects of their business. 5 star small business! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Been to all scrap yards. I only choose this one now for all my reasonings. Great people. Competitive prices. Location convenient. Ownership outstanding. Extra benefits I recieved was knowledge about scrapping everytime I go. South Seneca Scrap is my top choice. I have no problem giving them 5☆☆☆☆☆'s
The people there are always friendly and fair one time we went there they gave us more money for the time before after a few days have past cuz they paid us for the rong type of metal!!!😏
Quick fast no nonsense straight to the point doin business with these folks.... If you have Catalytic converters to sell take them here! They pay decent for them.
Of any scrap yards in the Wichita area they pay the best, and have the best customer service. Kinda hard to maneuver once in the yard but they make due and things are usually pretty effecient.
In my opinion this is the best centrally located scrap yard in wichita!!... The staff are very courteous and friendly, and they're scales are accurate, and they pay good prices, compared to some of the other scrapyards in wichita!.... This is by far the best place in wichita to recycle all of your recyclable metals!!....
I brought in several different materials and the staff working the scale and the office were friendly and helped me get everything weighed out. They processed all my material quickly. I will be going to them from now on!
