The guys in this shop are extremely trustworthy and polite! It can be, sometimes, hard to find an excellent automative shop which you could entrust your vehicle with like this one. I'm more than satisfied with their service.

My car was towed to Charlies in the middle of the night, and the following morning I got a phone call right away as the shop opened to discuss the issues with my car. Based on conversations with other people, it was being suggested to me that the issue could have been the battery or alternator. I even went out and bought a battery and brought it to Charlie's. Ultimately, the issue was not the battery OR alternator, and Charlie ended up saving me hundreds of dollars on repairs. I will definitely use this auto shop for future auto needs.

Highly recommend Charlie’s great customer service. They are willing to drop you off at home and pick you up if you live in the area and went as far as giving me a call a day after asking me how the car was running and if there is any other problems to give him a call.

Dragged over my car to this place for a 3K agreed fix with Charlie, we agreed to finish payments on a month later but knew there might be issues he might find so I was ready to pay no issue. Charlie then later tried to offer me his so called friends car that I have no info on and as he calls it into the shop for some adjustments like a bulb, he then wants to credit me 200$ for my Toyota, with mostly damages to radiator and frame and some radiator tube damage here and there in the Toyota, he wanted to give 200$ credit!! towards the Hyundai with unknown background that he says he will sell for $4500. It was soo sketchy and the fact he offered 200 for my Toyota.. blew my mind. Lost all my trust and forced my hand to get it towed for a higher amount on a check. Lost a car I would have liked to keep because Charlie wanted to make a few bucks out of me. I couldn’t take it else where because other body shops are worse and wanted 7K in the area for just frame work alone, mechanics can be soo trash these days.

I highly recommend Charlie to anyone seeking the peace of mind that comes with knowing your car is in good hands at a fair price. Charlie quickly fixed my brakes and resolved several other issues. He was also incredibly friendly, and I’m very grateful for his excellent service!

I had an amazing experience with Charlie's service! My car's side was damaged from an accident and looked horrible, and he restored it to a seamless, beautiful finish. He also took the time to wash and clean both the outside and inside, which was a great bonus. I was on the hunt for a small business mechanic because it seems like a lot of the mechanics at big name shops don't know what the hell they're doing anymore. Google pulls up Charlie's spot & I decided to check it out. Low and behold, he happens to be a Japanese car specialist with 30+ years of experience. Charlie took my 2016 Honda Civic & confirmed my brakes were shot. Prior to bringing it to Charlie's, I was told by 2 different mechanics my brakes were at 7mm. So Charlie eased my concerns by making the necessary repairs and came in at $700 for a complete brake job, which is incredible. Thank you so much, Charlie! I was also quotted for a new windshield, so I'm considering taking it back to get it replaced there.

Alternator went out while on a business trip to Mt Prospect. Charlie showed up within 15 minutes of my call, gave a quick assessment, took it back to his shop and had it repaired 2 hours later. He came back to pick me up and get me going again so i didnt have to miss a business dinner. Great service and highly recommend. Still can't believe how quickly he responded and got it done. I brought in my car because my car's electronic system was failing. Then my car wouldn't go in reverse. Charlie diagnosed the car and promptly repaired the wire connector, serpentine belt tensioner and alternator. He also proactively flushed the transmission fluid because it was at the recommended number of miles to change it. I was very thankful Charlie fixed exactly what needed to be fixed in an honest, thorough and timely manner. Now my car runs like a charm! I would highly recommend Charlie's Ace Auto and Body Repair and in fact need some body work too, so hope to go back soon!

Charlie did a great job repairing my daughter’s damaged car. He provided a very fair estimate and showed me exactly what had to be replaced and why. The shop is very clean and he does his own painting in his on-site booth. I was so happy, I had him do another small job on a second vehicle. I will definitely come back if the need arises.

I have had Charlie do both major and minor repairs on several of my prior and current cars. His work is always excellent! He is honest, timely and always courteous. He recently installed a new water pump and thermostat on my BMW 530i and found a transmission leak on my wife's Honda CRV. Unlike the dealers, he does not recommend work that is unnecessary and his pricing is fair.

Best customer service in town. I had went to get a door replacement for Nissan Sentra, Charlie took it upon himself to find the exact match for the door I needed. He was very understanding and kept me updated with any problems along the way. He painted the door perfectly matching the door to make it look identical to the color of the car. No flaws. Charlie’s auto is the place to go for the best prices and best service hands down.

Charlie has been my mechanic since I purchased my vehicle in 2021. My first incident happened almost immediately, cracked my front bumper leaving the alley (I am not used to driving lower vehicles, my last one was a Jeep). Charlie was able to order the parts and fix it right away! After it was fixed, I was able to bring my car to Charlie to look at if anything came loose or needed some extra care at no additional charge! He's been very helpful! I was involved in an accident 12/10 . I had no place i knew personally to take my car to get fixed . I was driving past and saw Charlie’s shop, I decided to walk in & just give it a try . Charlie was very welcoming, very informative, and very honest. I was so nervous that he was going to turn me around due to high operations during this time . He took me right in & even was able to get my rental car sent to the shop so i had a way home . He called the insurance company and was able to get an adjuster sent the very same week . I am now currently happy with Charlie’s work and customer service. I HIGHLY recommend this shop :)

Charlie has been my mechanic for 20 years. He is very professional and is a master at his profession. He goes over in detail what the problem is and he is very patient when it comes to customer service. Charlie is very friendly and I would highly recommend him as a mechanic.

Charlie’s Auto Service is superb. My car’s clutch blew out one night. Charlie fixed the clutch so my car was ready the next day. Because my car badly needed some body work at the time, I asked Charles to completely fix the dents in the body, repair the rust damage including replacing the the rocker panel, and completely repaint the car a custom matte black color and fix a big crack in my windshield. My car looks amazing now and it runs fabulously. It is a 2007 Pontiac G5 with a manual transmission. Charlie is friendly and easy to talk to. I would call or text him if I have questions. He is easy to get ahold of. The photos show the before color (yellow) and the after color black matte. 5/5 would highly recommend

Brought in my mother's car for body repair. The whole repair process went very smooth. Charlie took care of insurance claims and rental car reservation. Charlie did a superb job with the repairs, and he even finished everything ahead of the schedule. The price was very reasonable, and I couldn't be any happier. I think I found my new mechanic.
