I took my car to Ultimate Auto for a transmission issue, and I’m so glad I did. They asked all the right questions, quickly diagnosed that my transmission was slipping, and found a replacement for me. Within just three days, the problem was completely resolved. Horrible service and disgusting and rude behavior. Made an appointment for wheel alignment for 1 pm. Got to shop at 1245, the guy that was sitting next to receptionist said EVERBODY is no lunch break, started arguing with receptionist why gave appointment during lunch time. I said it's okay I will wait, I mentioned i have 33" wheels to make sure they will be able to do it. Mechanic said yes. By 115 mechanic started to pick argument with receptionist again (who now having lunch) telling it take time and very hard to do it. And he doesn't know if he will be able to do it and if he can't he doesn't want to waste his time doing it and all. That was my cue to get out of there, 1, he is not confident in what he doing. 2, lack of confident means lack of knowledge 3, dont treat coworker or anyone like that, if you have something to criticize about. TALK IN PRIVATE. All your customers sitting right there and listening to you. Shame on you.

Call the shop spoke to a lady. We explained to her a little bit of the problem we have. She told me to come in and speak to Alex the owner and he will give me a quote to fix the issue. Came in waited for him to finish with a car. He came and and told me he can’t help me. He doesn’t deal when car problem. And pretended that I never call. So how did I get the. Amé Alex and his the owner. Bad place

Sam is very friendly, open and honest. Everyone is very knowledgeable and got my car fixed faster than expected, even on a Saturday. I will be going back for all my car service needs

Very rude. Ive never been to this auto repair shop and accidentally went here instead of the one next door. The lady in the front is rude and curt and what i assumed was the owner was also rude. I will never step foot in that establishment again. Go right next door and the people are way more helpful and not rude at all. Edit: i was called about my review twice and left a whiny voicemail from the owner and when i called back was once again talked over and hung up on by the same rude front desk lady. Poorest customer service ive ever experienced and would give zero stars if i could. This business could use a new front desk person as that lady is doing the company a disservice. She feels she can talk that way to customers as the owner was also talking over me and not listening to ke when i said the lunchbreak for the guys wasnt an issue. He would have heard me if either one of them let me speak. It had nothing to do with their guys being on lunch at the time of arrival, (the owner was going to get my car worked on rt away but again i went to the wrong business) and everything to do with feeling like an inconvenience even tho i had called ten minutes prior to tell the owner i was waiting for a jump to get there. Upon arrival i was met with attitude and scolded on where i parked. They should mark their parking spots then as it is their problem NOT MINE. First and last time i will visit. I stand on going right next door! Super friendly, helpful and efficient!

Altimate Auto Repair has been our place a long time ago. Alex, the owner is such an honest man, his crew are expert. He is very reasonable as well. I highly recommend this place to be your mechanic shop whenever you need any thing, just any thing that has to do with your vehicle, like change big parts or even fixing a nut.

I have been coming to “Altimate Auto repair” to get my cars repaired for the past 18+ years due to my trust that Alex will get the best repairs done at the best prices. 07/06/23 Altimate Auto Repair mechanic Alex changed the blown headlight bulb of my WV Touareg. Then he did an inspection of the chassis vibration and said that it was necessary to change the front axle shafts. I decided to consult with another auto repair shop and they said that the axle shafts are in order, but the front differential needs to be replaced because it has a lot of play. I went back to Altimate Auto Repair and asked to check the front diff, but mechanic Alex flatly refused to check front differential and very unfriendly sent me to repair a car in another workshop. So I did. I had the front diff replaced and the car runs great. No further replacement of the axle shafts is required. I do not recommend anyone to deal with serious malfunctions to the Altimate Auto Repair mechanic Alex.

This business was recommended to me. I had previously got an estimate from somewhere else. I decided to bring my car to Alex at Altimate. Brought my parts and Alex was to install them. So he did the work. Then I get a call from Cindy,who was very rude to me, stating it needed something else. So I purchased the part and that was replaced. Then I get another call saying my brake line busted. So he replaced that. I was quoted 250.00 + 270.00 +270.00 for labor, minus 20% senior discount. All in a span of 5 days. I went to pickup my car and I had some questions about the repair that was done. Alex says to me , he had to be somewhere in 10minutes and that he would talk to me later. I said that I had questions for him now . He immediately got very belligerent with me and started yelling and screaming at me. He got me so upset that I had tears . As a customer, I have never been treated so badly. He was screaming at me all the way out the door. On the way out, he said if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️????? ???????????

Overall not a great experience. I arrived before 8am ( as my appt was at 8, didnt walk out until 10:28am for an oil change and cabin air filter replacement ) i had a few more requests for them to do/look at, but that had already been 2 hours, i retracted those requests mainly based off of how slow they were performing. I was charged $40 for air filter replacement. The price of the oil change and topping off fluids was fair price. I requested a tire rotation, but was told that tires look like they are wearing evenly that i shouldnt have to spend the extra money to do so if its not needed. I know for a fact they need to be rotated. I'll be taking it elsewhere to get this service completed. They did have a great candy dish though. :) Update: I asked if Alex could call me ( as he was out of town when i was there) to chat about some items, he did! I feel a lot of what happened was communication differences. :) Although the end result was not in favorable. i believe you'll love this place ( just like all the good reviews ) and my experience is the anomaly.

We have been going to Alex at Altimate for all of our car repairs for more than 8 years. He and his mechanics are very knowledgeable and perform good work. They are upfront and honest about cost of repairs and time to get the job done. Speaking of honesty, I brought one of our vehicles (an Acura MDX) in to check the brakes because I thought they needed to be done. He checked them and said come back in 6 months for another check, you're good. I trust Alex & his team to do all of our car repairs and general maintenance. He's worked on everything from our '90 Cadillac to our '04 MDX to our newer Sequoia. Great communication from Cynde when working to diagnose and get the total cost of repairs. We highly recommend Altimate Auto Repair. A+++

Was having trouble with my 2001 Infiniti engine, and within 10 minutes the problem was found. Part was then delivered about a half hour later and put into the car. I was in and out quickly and the service was fantastic. The dealership wanted to do $1800 dollars of repairs to my car, but at Altimate I was in and out for 200 dollars. Would highly recommend ?

So whenever I have car issues, I go to my dealer but this time my car would not start and my dealer was fully booked so I had no choice but to go to an independent dealer and found Altimate with good reviews. I was towed to the shop and Alex told me he had to diagnose what the issue was and told me it was a bad starter. Replaced a starter at a very good price and he even went up and above by checking my fluids, tire pressure and told me I was low on oil so he filled it up. They did a great job on fixing my car and I was on my way and so far so good and I will highly recommend this shop to anyone. These guys are honest and hard working people.

In the Northwest Suburbs one of the BEST Auto Service Station is this.. "Altimate Auto". They offer excellent customer service. They listen patiently to your cars problems and address all your questions. After doing a thorough diagnosis they offer the best guidance. Unlike other service stations you will not find anyone pushy here. Alex is a great technician and above all he is a wonderful human being. He gives complete attention to every detail. I will strongly recommend Altimate Auto for any Auto problems...!!!

I am a customer of Altimate Auto Repair for more than 10 years. They take care all of my cars need. They are cost effective compared to other shops and much better than dealers for any brands. I always suggest to all of my families and friends to bring their cars for oil change to any kind of fixing. They say that in your life you need a good Doctor, a good lawyer, a good barber and a good Mechanic that understands your issues and addresses them professionally. I have been taking all my cars to Alex and Cynde for the last 16 years and have always come out of there happy. I have moved out from Wheeling to far west suburbs but still bring my cars to Altimate Autos because Alex and his team of mechanics provide excellent service and reasonable prices.

We have been taking all of our cars to Alex for over 15 years. He is the best! The work is always done right at a reasonable price. He will also tell you if something doesn't need to be done, which is the sign of a reputable shop. I would highly recommend them!

My dad has been going to Altimate for a few years now and keeps going back so I knew that was a good sign. I just brought his car in for an oil change and front brake job and had a great experience. Cynde at the front desk was patient and listened to our needs. We also inquired about repairing/replacing the instrument panel cluster. Most shops I have used in the past are very reluctant to perform this type of repair. Alex explained to us the labor involved and gave us a quote. He understood why we wanted the repair and was not reluctant to tackle the job. Car was ready sooner than expected and is now winter ready for my aging parents. Altimate exceeded my expectations and charges a fair price. I took my teenage daughter's car to Altimate last week for new tires and front and rear brakes. They also fixed an oil leak that has been staining our driveway for months. All of this was done for a very fair price and the staff worked late on the Friday of Labor Day weekend to finish the job. I now feel really good about my daughter driving the car. Thanks Altimate!

Altimate auto repair is the best, most honest place in the area. When I was told to check this place out I'll admit I was nervous I usually do all my own work on my vehicles but time restrictions prohibited me from replacing my own fuel pump in my 2000 Cadillac Escalade. Altimate auto repair not only replaced my fuel pump in a timely manner with no problems. They also went above and beyond to make bringing my truck to the mechanic a pleasant experience. If I ever need to bring my vehicle to a shop again this will be THE ONLY PLACE I WOULD BRING MY CAR.

Alex is a very knowledgeable mechanic. He knows his business. I'm very picky about anyone working on my car. I trust Alex, I've never had any problem with this shop. At times he can be hard but that is his style, I like that about him. He understands his business and cares about my time. I've been bringing my family's cars to Altimate Trans & Auto for 12 years. I've built a relationship with him and can't see myself going anywhere else.
