Took my car in for a “Timing chain” , finally got a call about the car and found out “it needs an engine” went to the shop and they charged me 1,500 dollars to put a timing chain on a bad motor. Do not recommended

Really love this place. Everyone here is like family....not only have been going here 15 to 20 years..so has my sister and both parents...they fix sll our cars and we have even purchased 2 cars from them. I really do believe that they are extremely fair with their pricing on cars and repairs...i highly reccomend them ..

Tammy and her team are amazing! They are nice, knowledgeable and very reasonable. They will perform a full diagnostic for a nominal fee. The drive from Cobb county was well worth it. They repaired my Range Rover for $$$$ LESS than the dealership quoted me. Tammy even advocated for me when one of my parts was under warranty. She could have easily just sold me another part. That is the epitome of service and transparency! Thank you!!! I highly recommend them. I waited a couple of months to write this review so that I could honestly say that my car is functioning well after being serviced.

This is a great place to take your car. They are honest and care about their customers. They do not inflate prizes and always get job done right and on time. The owners are fantastic and they are versed in all cars. Great with foreign vehicles. I recommend them often and will continue to do so.

I highly recommend you DONT bring your car here! Tammy has a very nasty attitude when you tell her that they did something wrong to your vehicle. I had got my rear main seal replaced by this shop and a few months later I’m hearing a lot of rattling noises and having another oil leak so I took it to the dealer to get it inspected. I told the dealer that I had my rear main repaired at Maw and Paw Kettle the technician told me that there is alot of bolts that are not screwed all the way in around the transmission and oil pan and the motor mount had only one screw missing they had damaged one of the oil line my torque converter wasn’t sealed correctly and that it wasn’t tighten down because it was making noise but this was the only place that work on my vehicle in that area of my car Tammy wants to deny but scammed me out of 1600$ worth of work. I didn’t have all these issues when I brought my car to Maw and Paw I just had a oil leak now they cost me having to spend out more money and Tammy don’t wants to be held accountable for their work! So if you could please avoid this place!

This was my 2nd time using maw & paw (5 years apart). Their mechanical repairs are not the problem but their other “deficiencies “ are why I will never use them again (nor would I allow anyone else to use them also). The first issue (years ago) was my car was infested with ants when I got it back) . Both times it took them 2 weeks to fix the vehicle , but their “communication “ with the customer is terrible . In two weeks I did not get one call from them . I called them 5 times within that two weeks to check on the progress. They didn’t even call me when the vehicle was finished ! Nor did they ever call me to tell me the cost of the repairs. I found out when I picked up the vehicle. Terrible customer service. But the worst part is that apparently during that two weeks that they had my vehicle it was apparently parked under a tree or something . I have a ALL WHITE car that was covered with tree sap all over my vehicle ! It took me 2 days and 4 car wash / details to get it all off . That’s just careless and inconsiderate of your customer . That’s something that should have been seen and addressed and/ or corrected . I gave them a 2nd chance after the first time thinking “things happen” and it was just an oversight, but now I see that that was not the case. I would NEVER LET THEM TOUCH ANOTHER VEHICLE OF MINE and if you truly care about your vehicle, neither should anyone else .

I have to say this company is amazing. We were driving through to head to the mountains for a vacation.The bracket that holds the timing belt sheared off. We were referred to them and had it fixed in two days. Extremely kind people, knowledgeable and very fair prices. I would highly recommend using them, I wish we had them in Central Florida.

If you ask Tammy too many questions and upset her she won't not answer your call. You can call from an unknown number, once she recognizes you she will disconnect. Glad I had this experience before having work done.

This was my first time here and I had a great experience. Tammy was straightforward and honest about everything wrong with my car, and she did everything she could to keep the cost to a reasonable level. They were busy when I had my car towed over there and I was quoted a several weeks wait before they could even look at it. I guess they bumped it forward for me, because I got my car fixed and back in my driveway way sooner than expected. Thank you for the great service! I'll be back for sure.

Transmission finally went out on my old focus. They were able to rebuild it at an affordable price when no one else wanted to touch it for less than 5k. Got it back and drives like new!

Maw & Paw were recommended to me by another foreign car repair shop in Newnan since that one didn't work on Volvos. I had gotten a couple of estimates for a 120,000 mile service and Maw & Paw were in the same price range. When I picked up my car, the tab was 1/3 what was estimated. They told me they found that I didn't need a timing belt so that was the reason the bill was so much lower. I really appreciate their honesty and not wanting to do unnecessary work. It's hard to find folks like that these days. I would recommend them to anyone - family, friends, etc.and will be having them do any future service on my car.

They were outstanding drop car off they call when ready. If you pay in cash you get a discount I love that I will return if I have any problem with my car.

Came in at 2:30 pm with a problem, the mechanic was so quick to find out my problem and went to fix it right away. I had my 2 year old with me and he was concerned for our safety so he was willing to fix my problem the same day! Also the lady up front brought snacks for my kiddo to enjoy. I definitely recommend this place and will use it for the future!

I am a very real customer, if not how could I have a real bill of sale from business pictured somewhere on this review. I purchased a used 2005 Nissan Altima from this business it lasted 3 months and broke down on me. When I purchased the vehicle I was told the motor had been replaced, which I never received proof of or information on. The odometer reading was over 200.000+ miles. I trusted this seller but learned not to buy another vehicle without original motor. I took the car back several times within the 30 day warranty period that I was given but was always told it was fuel I was using. Even though I was fueling at a station referenced to me by Maw and Paw automotives. Lesson Learned!!! I went to them with $1350 down and paid $1000 the next week and the transaction for the $2350 was complete.

We purchased a C300 from a neighbor. He said to use M&P, even though we found out he rarely used them himself....?. M&P Kettle are by far the best shop we have used in a long time. We have lived in the Sharpsburg / Newnan area for 30 years and have had many experiences with service shops. They are busy so expect strait business, thanks for that! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and more. The gentleman walked my wife to the car when she was picking it up just to be sure all was well and no dash lights were on with any warnings. Thank you for the quality work. We will use M&P again.

It was April 2010 and I had been laid off from the oilfield since July of 09. I happened to be driving through the area on my way to Louisiana to get a job that was offered when my water pump went out. The tow truck driver recommended Maw & Paw's. Once I got there, I explained to them my situation. They literally began repairing my vehicle within 30 minutes of me being there. They seemed more worried about me getting the job than profiting from my misfortune. These are genuinely good people. Anyone needing repairs on their vehicles would be doing themselves a HUGE favor by using Maw & Paw Kettle's garage.

They held my car for over a month, blamed the issue on a part manufacturer that we chose and not that they recommended. Said that unless we go with their supplier for the part they could not fix our car. After a month and a half and many shipping fees we had to pay to get the working part to them we had to pay off our 100 dollar bill to get our now not running car towed to another mechanic. Our new mechanic had the car running and fixed the real issue that had nothing to do with the 800 dollar part we were told wasn't working. These people are a joke just like the comedy in their name. We could have had our car fixed without the over 1k we spent with these amateurs trying to wing it, for less than 500 dollars. Bad business, bad mechanics, but mostly a bad experience.

Tammy and Jack at Maw and Paw took great care of my imported Mitsubishi Delica when the alternator died passing through town on my way to Texas. We had to get the part shipped overnight and they let us camp by the property, showed us incredible hospitality and had the alternator replaced the first thing next morning. We drove 1,000 miles the next two days and the van is in great shape.

I recently was driving to Maw & Paw Kettyle's because my turbo stopped working, and was rushing to catch them before they closed for the day. About 1/4 of a mile from their shop and about 15 minutes AFTER closing, I saw Jack Kettyle driving toward me...he slowed to say hi. I told him my problem, and amazingly he told me pull off to the side of the road so he could look at it right then and there. He immediately noticed the hose to the intercooler had popped off, so he said "Come on, let's go back to the shop." We then drove to the shop (which had closed 15 minutes ago), he opened the gate, we drove in, and he fixed the problem in 20 minutes by reattaching the hose. This was all done AFTER hours, and for no charge (I am a repeat customer). Now I don't know ANY shop that will go this far for you. Jack & Tammy have my loyalty, forever.

Awesome customer service! My son was in an accident on I-85 when we were traveling south to Mississippi. We had the car towed to Maw & Paw Kettyle to assess the damage to determine whether or not the car could be safely driven the remainder of our trip. They looked at the car immediately, cleaned it up for us as it had careened into a ditch, determined the car was safe for travel, and got us back on the road. Tremendous thanks for taking care of us so quickly during an unfortunate situation.

I purchased a Saab from Maw and Paw Kettyle in December 2015. I was told that it had been check from front to back and it was in good working condition. Recently the alternator went out. I know this is not an issue that can be predicted so I am not complaining about this. I no longer live in Newnan so I took the car to a repair shop near my house. Along with the alternator problem this shop emailed me several severe problems that could not have recent problems. These problems should have been seen before or at the time of purchase. Of course my warranty has run out so I will have to payout of pocket for this issue. I am posting the issues below in this review. I would not recommend purchasing a car from this place. Also I had a flat tire 4 months ago. I went to change to tire to the spare, this is when I found out the car did not have a jack. WTHeck! Repairs needed Transmission Fluid Burnt Smell Trans fluid smells awful. I would not change it at this point due to the amount of miles on the car. They should be ready for a transmission rebuild or replacement in the future Fluid Leaks Engine Oil Its leaking from a few places. 1 behind the timing cover 2 the turbo oil drain is leaking 3 the oil sending unit looks damaged and is leaking a lot do this at the minimum 4 valve cover gasket leaking the least would not do this until after the other leaks are repaired 5 oil drain plug Image(s): Fluid Leaks1.jpg Fluid Leaks2.jpg Fluid Leaks3.jpg Fluid Leaks4.jpg Fluid Leaks5.jpg

My wife and I were on our way home from a road trip on a Sunday afternoon last November when our fuel pump gave out. Every shop in the area was closed, but the tow truck driver (props to the Orr Wrecker driver for his service and also accurately diagnosing the problem for us) was able to contact them and even though we were in a vehicle they do not typically service, they took us in 1st thing the next morning so that we could get back on the road. These guys went WAY above and beyond to get us back on the road. After they got us going again and I went to the desk to pay the bill, I was surprised by the charges... Much lower than I ever anticipated for the job they undertook. I will recommend them to anyone. If I lived anywhere close to Newnan, they would be my shop, without a doubt.

Completely amazing service, honesty, and value. Every time, their final price was at or under what was quoted, and prices were very reasonable. Also, they actually know what they are talking about! I had a very tricky problem on a rebuilt car that nobody else could figure out. They jumped right to the issue with no problem. Finally, every time my car's in, they fix random things at no extra cost. Things like replacing taillights or tightening a rattling strut mount. All in all great company.
