Bare metals is one of the nicest and most respectful yards I have been in! Almost there to help unload and is a great company! I will always take my scrap here!
They will scam you every chance they get! Took them old bush hog and they paid as heavy metal. Next day took them another bush hog and they paid as torch iron for same materials. First day .52 lbs second day .20 lbs. will not be going here again and suggest staying away unless you like being scammed
A pleasant experience overall. The staff are very calm but not off-putting or rude.
At the entrance, is the main building, where you submit your receipt to receive your payment. But don't go there first.
You have to go past the pay window/main building and drive around the scrap metal house building to drop off your scrap metals first. Same place, just a little further down.
From there, they'll give you a receipt of all your metals. Itemized and weighted.
Then you go back to the pay window to submit your receipt and receive your cash.
They do ID and take your photograph in accordance with the law. So don't forget your ID or your smiling face.
I don't have much to complain about. Got a decent payout for a few bags of scrap.
Need help? TOO BAD. Got questions? Pfft, enjoy being treated like you’ve asked for a towel at a baby shower. Want clarification? Sure, just know it's served with tone dry enough to crack cement.

Ive lived in Newnan since 2004, and I have had the chance to recycle my scrap metal with Newnan Salvage many times. I have found that they are Honest. Fair and friendly every time I've done business with them. Their crew always helps unload and will often let you know if you have items which could bring a higher amount if weighed in separately. Their process is quick, efficient and they are always in compliance with state/federal laws and regulations. And remember always have your ID ready.
I have never had an issue with this salvage recycling center. I’ve brought refrigerators, batteries, and all types of metal for recycling. Don’t think that your junk is gold plated or valuable because it’s junk. Bring your recycling items here for recycling and keep out of the land fill. They will pay you by check after your picture is taken because it’s law thanks to the huge amount of thugs stealing car parts, sewer caps, statues and most recently on the news, bronze sculptors of famous people.
I will never use this business again because I weighed everything that I took to them and they cheated me. I had 14.6 Ibs of aluminum cans and they gave a credit of 4 Ibs. I don't do business with a business that will blatantly steal money from me and that's why I don't trust any business people. Please don't use this business so they will have to either stop stealing money and/or go out of business. If this post gets deleted then I will repost.
Newnan Salvage is the cleanest run scrap yard I have ever been to. The staff is willing to help you unload cardboard or metal scrap out of your vehicle were as most scrapyards leave it up to the individual to remove scrap. They also pay a fair market price. I have had an issue once with a check and they took care of it immediately. I trust and recommend this business if you are recycling or scraping!
