I wish Maurice's was in Houston because this would be my auto shop.
Had a problem with my truck while visiting Lakeland, needed it fixed fast to get back to Houston on time. Maurices's had my truck on the rack within 30 minutes of arriving. Gave me an estimate before noon and had me out the door the same day.
Excellent work for a fair price, Good communication and a very nice waiting room.
The most impressive thing was how friendly and family like everybody working there was which makes a difference in their pride and performance. They're joking with each other and the customers, greeting each other, Helping each other. It's clear they work together well as a team, and to me that makes a difference in the outcome.
Maurice is personally involved with customers , helped to expedite things when he heard my situation, much appreciated.
Maurice’s Auto Repair was absolutely amazing!! We called with issues with my car as we were traveling. They said they could take my car in immediately. We were met at the front office, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the car was taken in back right away. They even dropped us off to get food while we wait…. We were planning to stop for food anyway, but they went out of their way to accommodate us. These days it’s a hit and miss on finding people like those at Maurice’s. A negative day turned positive with Maurice’s Auto Repair. Found out we needed new breaks, so we went to Maurice’s. This is NOT something that was in the budget (is it ever?). They were fast, efficient, affordable, honest and they were so kind to my 7 year old daughter, who had to wait there with me all morning (cause we only have one vehicle). The lady at the front desk even took her on a little golf cart ride to visit with the pet goats who live out back. This business cares for more than just vehicles…they care for people and animals too!! Their customer service was amazing—something hard to find these days. We will definitely be back if we ever have car trouble again!
We had an amazing experience with Maurice's. Jackie at the front desk and the service manager Demetrius were absolutely wonderful at answering my 1,000 phone and questions. They have the best pricing AND quality in town. We will definitely be going back there for all our vehicle needs and recommending them to all our family and friends.
I had a marvelous experience when took my car to Maurice’s Auto. First I was treated as if a family member or a VIP. This business is well concerned for the customers problem. I was greeted by Dametrius, he explained the cost and price of the job, which $4000.00 less than the company was using. Then I was told it would be done in 2 days. The last mechanic had my car for 4 days. Maurice even let use a loaner, no charge.
If you want good service, outstanding quotes for auto repairs. This the place to go, good people, service, honest and making sure the customer is well informed and no hidden charges.

From the time Jackie answered the phone and then Jay arrived I was very happy I called Maurice’s with my tire issue. She has the most friendly voice, helpful, and great customer service from all others that I had called that day. Jay arrived, explained everything so good and was extremely nice and helpful. Maurice's does not provide diagnostic data (such as pictures or videos) for vehicle assessments to the customer, even upon request. My experience to date with this company:
I took my vehicle in to Maurice's based on a friends referral d/t s/s of an oil leak, despite it not overheating but the oil indicator light had come on.
Following 4-5 days, I was told my vehicle was repaired for said oil leak by Demetrius (part owner at Maurice's) and to come pick it up (which implies due diligence to test drive it prior to stating it was complete.) I got there, paid bill, and was then informed close to 2 hours s/p the time I was to pick it up that something was wrong, they needed to keep it longer, of which I wouldn't be charged additional.
I was called the next day, the owner states it was X problem, then I am billed additionally. When I drove it home, it was not handling correctly, so I contacted Maurice's. I was told to bring it in the following day. The next day, Maurice's mechanic looked at it stating all prior work was good, no signs of oil leak but I needed new tires.
I then took it to Audi of Lakeland, they filmed a video of the oil leak, notes none of the repairs were needed that were performed by Maurice's. I also took it to another mechanic for a 3rd opinion, he notes the same oil leak issue with photo evidence provided of oil leak (same one Audi had found).
Perhaps this company is potentially negligent in standard operating procedures?
1. ) Either Maurice's does not require adequate training/certification of their mechanics to diagnose and repair Audi's:
2.) Does not provide visual documentation to substantiate work or ...
3.) Perhaps something more nefarious.
I would sincerely recommend finding another mechanic shop.
I am heavily dissatisfied with the services. I took my car in for a torque converter replacement, and only after a few days of driving my car had started to act up, the torque converter wasn't disengaging properly. I called and asked them to look at it (since it was under warranty) and they had done a diagnostics without asking me first. The man I had talked to on the phone, John, would respond with “I dunno, I've only been here two weeks” every time I asked a question, one of the questions being if they took a certain form of payment. The lobby is horrible and has around a 3 foot snake in a short long tank that looked to be about 15 gallons (snakes should be able to at least stretch their entire body along the length of the tank) the poor thing also had no hides. This place is a complete scam, money grabber and a lie.
The only good experience about going here was Jackie. She was nice wonderful to talk to and was very helpful.
I’ve been bringing my car to Maurice’s Auto Repair for a while, and I always leave feeling taken care of. The team is super friendly and does great work. Demetrius is awesome — he’s always on top of things and makes sure I understand what’s going on with my car. Highly recommend!
Paid the shop almost 8k with replacement of a motor and front end work with two tires in 2013 Honda Accord, car stayed in shop most of the warranty period, car was never fixed to the day. Marice lied about putting oem part in car. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. He charged for parts he said would make it right, but never made it right. Before car went there, it never had a electrical problems. Come to find out what he said he put Homda OEM part was a Amazon part, if you read reviews the part fails within a month. Going to try and put a OEM part in to see if it fixes issues. From reviews and talking to other mechanics they say oem, the cars don't like aftermarket junk. I highly recommend not using this shop

While on vacation in Lakeland, our car suddenly broke down. We called AAA, but unfortunately, they couldn't help because we needed a new alternator and battery. The only auto repair shop they recommended was Maurice's — and we are so glad they did!
From the moment we contacted Maurice’s, they were prompt, professional, and incredibly understanding of our situation. This all happened on a Saturday, and not only did they tow our car to their shop, but they also worked on it on a Sunday so we could have it ready to go by Monday — just in time for our drive home.
When we went to pick up the car, Maurice himself was there to explain all of the extensive repairs that had been done. He took the time to go over everything clearly and thoroughly, and we could tell he genuinely cared. He truly went above and beyond for us.
We were beyond impressed by their dedication and customer service. They made a stressful situation so much easier, and we are truly grateful. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to take my car to Maurice’s again. Highly recommend!

I unexpectedly got stuck on the side of I-4 one morning on my way to work, and of all places it was at the top of an overpass. I gave Maurice's a call, as they were recommended by my insurance company, and I'm glad I did. One of their drivers named Jay went out of his way to get me immediately off of the Interstate because he strongly felt that was the most concerning place for anyone to be stuck. Even though I could've waited, the fact that he cared that much to pick me and my car up first speaks positively about his and company priorities. In hindsight, if it were one of my family members who were stuck then that level of concern for someone's safety is a clear indicator of the genuine care this company and it's staff have for those who need help! They saved the day for us! Came in on tow truck after being on the side of the road for 3 hours Saturday afternoon & Dimetrius was able to order pickup install the proper alternator & Charge up the system! I am the owner and operator of a professional auto detailing business here in Lakeland. My brakes locked up on me two days ago. I thought it would just be a minor fix, so I took it to these experts, and they diagnosed in the problem it was much more severe than it appeared. My back left axle Was bent, and my brakes were completely locked. They needed the vehicle for extra day and got me back on the road to service my customers they now have me as a lifelong client will definitely be using them in the future, and I highly recommend their services!
On Saturday morning, I had an emergency happen while driving with my son and had to pull over in a panic. Triple A was going to take 2 hours. I googled the nearest mechanic to me and Maurice’s popped up. I went there and explained my situation, they took my car in immediately and helped me out. I was looking for a valve adjustment, I called several different shops, the prices were crazy, and I remembered Maurice's from a long time ago, so I gave them a call. Liked what I heard and dropped my vehicle off. Then I got a call from maurice.
Was I able to come to the shop to see what they were seeing. Well my vehicle had 336,000 miles on it. Maurice could tell it had been maintained and he went over some options. Seems a lot more was going on internally than I thought.
Looked to be that the oil pressure wasn't reaching the cam shaft. Throw money at this engine, they do wear out, or take that money and get a replacement engine.
Just get a new one, right? It's more complicated than that, but not now.
So I decided to swap the engine.
24 hours later maurice calls and tells me the vehicle is ready! I tell Maurice I don't have a ride. No problem he says and sends someone to pick me up!
Blah blah blah. 500 miles later and running like a sewing machine we are very pleased! I won't go into all the details at the closure of business, but, and this is only me , you might want to at l
east talk with Maurice if considering an automobile repair.

Maurice’s is the place for your vehicle!! The staff is so friendly/helpful. Our work van was in bad shape, Maurice and his team kept it honest and told us exactly what our van needed for an exceptional price! We just found our “go to” place for all of our vehicles!
This place it’s a ripoff will not recommend to anyone. I brought my wife SUV there for service cause the AC wasn’t working properly and vehicle shaking really bad over 60mph they took over two weeks to give the car back to us and the problems we brought the car in for did not get fix they end up replaced two hub assembly got charged $882 dollars their recommendation to replaced all 4 tires I went did that car still shaking wish I could give them 0 star.
Don't ever go to the dealer for your repairs, Maurice saved me $600 over the dealership. Dealership wanted $1900, Maurice $1300. Plus the owner himself is always around to help you. And the work is the best quality....like new. Thank you Maurice!

I had an amazing experience with Maurice's auto repair and towing. My suspension had snapped so I was told just one side the rear shackle joint and that was it by a friend. However when I brought it in for further inspection at another shop it was clear that I would have to replace the whole thing springs and all. The first shop was unable to find the parts necessary as I have a 2003 Ford Econoline 250 and the parts are discontinued. A friend referred me to Maurice and when I called they just told me to bring it in right away no appointment necessary. They then went through the trouble of leaving my van on the lift so that they could locate and match up the parts necessary to do the repairs. I live in my van and so for me this was an amazing gift. Because I had to leave all of my earthly possessions in the van, I took great comfort that they were being kept safe while these amazing guys searched for the parts. Not only did they find the parts but that suspension is like new. I feel like I am driving a luxury vehicle right now. I couldn't possibly have thanked these guys enough his entire staff as well as Maurice were incredibly generous with their time and energy. Once they found all the parts, they worked late into the night to do the repairs so that I could get back into my home as soon as possible. Thank you thank you thank you!
