I change this to a five star after I spent a few days going through my bottles. I sorted them out and it turned out the people who worked there were correct. They have more experience than me for sure. I am a newbie and didn’t even know what kind of bottles could be returned. This is was I wrote before but it was not correct: I have heard that this place is easy and fast if you count your bottles and place them in clear plastic bags by each type. Today was the first time I went there with 13 bags. Mostly are cans. Each bag holds 250 cans. One of the staff pointed out that some of the bottles (with red tags) cannot be redeemed. He told me that he can deduct some amount from the total. I said fine, maybe deduct 100 bottles, because there were only a few of them in a bag. I had 13 bags in total. He said that he would deduct a whole bag off, which is 250. Everything was inside the warehouse and I didn’t have a lot of choices, then agreed to it. Then, another staff came over said that some of the bottles are no good. I told him that I was told by the first staff and we worked a deal out already by deduct a whole bag off. He said: “That’s not enough. We have to deduct two bags off (at least). Take it or leave it.” That’s 500 bottles. I took all of my bottles and left.
It's the best place to go if u have a lot of recycling to do. I have been going there since 2019 and we go there at least 3 times a year with our van full of recycling bottles, they are very fast and efficient, even faster if u have already counted ur bottles before bringing them in.
It is a good place to return all different redeemable items. Why all the stores with redemption bins don't just take any deposit bottles and cans is beyond me.
The comments about the helpful and friendly staff must be from a different site. No one gave any direction when I came in (first time there) and then they wouldn't take any glass items. I was told they had to be in a box. But not just any box, it had to have high sides. There were dozens of low-walled boxes stacked up there but I was told I couldn't use them.
Based on other review comments, when I go back with my high-sided box I will be sure to count the items in it before handing it over.
Again..., why can't any deposit bottle/can be returned at any redemption site? Someone is making a ton of money on all those bottles and cans that are being rejected by machines all across CT.
They miscounted the number of bottles I brought in, because I keep my bottles seperated by 50’s (so I know it is $5 each bag).. When I told then about the miscount he said why didn’t you tell me that and you counted.. I explained to him that the bags were a mix of bottles and any other time I have gone they tell me it has to be the same brand in each bag. Nevertheless they gave me $26, when they recounted it was $27.40. I brought in $31 worth of bottles so they still cheated me out of $4 bucks.. His response to me was you aren’t gonna win with a women!! Not when I know what I brought in!! How many people are they cheating out of money!!! I will have to find another bottle redemption place!!
Best redemption center in the area, have been coming here for over a year now. Nice people, hard workers. Have always received the correct amount of $$.
Always a good experience. We return large quantities as part of an ongoing fundraiser and they are very easy to deal with. We’ve tried other rerun centers, Bloomfield is a pleasant experience every time.
I've been going to this place for at least 3 years. They have a great system that works really well when customers are aware of it and come prepared. Very organized and the payout is cash money. I've come with 800+ redeemables and cashed out in less than 10 minutes, even during very busy parts of the day. Family owned, the staff is friendly and will help give you direction when needed.

Been coming to this place for years. They have been nothing but outstanding and efficient. I would recommend you check them out for all your recyclable and put some cash back in your pockets.
I was never the type to recycle lol honestly.we had a family cookout and had a few bottles and cans after. I was going to stop and shop to change them until I pass this recycling company and now recycling is more fun for me than anything else ??
Awesome place to return bottles. Chirah is always very helpful when I bring in bottles (regardless of the number). All of the staff are very friendly. They get you in and out fast!
Very bad experience. I just came from there and I was Very unhappy with how I was extremely short changed. I brought about 12-15 big black garbage bags filled with glass bottles, cans, plastic bottles. And they said I only had $38. 3 months ago I brought 8 of the same and came out with $58.75. I will report them to channel 3 and the State!
