This place will set you up for failure salesman was super nice to get you to sign over that vehicle I was conned out of 5 k from him down payment had nothing to do with the cost of the vehicle plz " PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT" THIS IS A TERRIBLE PLACE TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE! I am a girl, and not a mechanic. This was my experience.
I purchased a really beautiful, used vehicle from Autotown, LLC in Stratford, CT. They negotiated on the price as much as I could expect them to. I paid a fair market value for the car I bought. They offer a 30 day warranty in addition to what you can purchase separately, which I did.
In the beginning, I reported a weird issue, and ran a diagnostic test on the vehicle, which turned up 2 codes. One hidden and one which set off the engine light. Bill the mechanic at Autotown worked to correct the issue which gave an engine light. It turned out to be a sensor. The other issue was more complex and took several visits to correct.
Autotown brought the vehicle to the Ford dealer, who was essentially useless and didn’t fix the problem, but charged Autotown $420.00 to install a $16.50 seal, which was not the issue. The next time around, after I did some research and consulted with Anthony, my salesman, and Tony, his business partner, the dealer gave some advice, which they should have seen the first time, but the advice helped get the issue corrected along with my own investigation and observations from the functioning of the vehicle, in consultation with the owners of Autotown and their mechanics.
Bill the mechanic replaced an oil pan, a set of bolts and a new oil pump at their own expense, with genuine Ford parts, 3 months after my purchase date. The diagnostic tests have been consistently clean since, and the car runs like a solid vehicle. No more weird issue.
Without going into excessive detail about the issue, the point I wanted to impart in this review is that the owners of Autotown not only backed their sale and their warranty, they worked with me to investigate and resolve a weird hidden issue which would have resulted in something more serious. Although at first it may have seemed like I was being super picky, I turned out to be correct, and they stuck to their word, repaired the problem, and did so in a friendly and professional manner.
Autotown has a large selection of nice looking vehicles at very decent prices. The owners are friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend Autotown if you are looking for a new ride. I also recommend Bill for your service needs.

They have a great selection of cars and Trucks , and I felt confident in the one I chose. nice 2011 Q5, not so nic no heat or ac. controller bad, vent motors bad, heater control valve bad, j255 control bad. Defrost only on medium
no control of heat thats only warm after an hour.
said hed fix it and i found 2 hacks riping apart duct work lying saying vents were clogged. my $600 scanner id the bad parts. Didnt get fixed.
i asked for a refund day 2 and he said he woun fix it, didnt have qualified mechanic looking at it. i left wih busted $10,000 car, broken heT, ac. KD
Sometimes when things sound too good there is reason for concern, in this case, my experience is with Tony and Anthony, you are in good hands.
They’ll always be someone with a bad experience somewhere, but with enough positive reviews it pretty much tells the story.
I’ve traveled long distances to see cars that are misrepresented, I’ve also been local and to be kind I’ve experienced some unethical, lacking integrity, and accountability dealerships.
We all need to make a living, but the good ones aren’t in it for the one time experience But look to build relationships.
These are not high-pressure gentlemen, they stand behind their product and they give you the time of day.
When buying a used car, the last thing you need is skepticism.

This is not the 3rd car that I have gotten from AutoTown. Not once have I ever had a problem. MUCH cheaper down payment required than other dealerships because they are reputable. They have this reputation because they are honest and genuine people. I have two children that they know I will be putting in my vehicle. I trust them 100% and I have had bad experiences at any other dealership I’ve tried. It’s why I keep coming back to them whenever needed. They WILL work with you. If you’re looking for a car, I highly suggest checking them out before making any decisions. You’ll be very happy that you did. Thank you Anthony and Tony for being so kind and understanding. You have taken such good care of me and my whole family over the years. Not one to write many reviews, but they really do truly deserve for you all to know what they have and will offer you.

This place is awesome. I wanted to surprise my twin sister with an Audi that she always wanted. I found out this place was selling one. The guys helped me surprise her. They kept my secret all the way up to the point of the purchase!!! I had my twin sit in the car as if we were thinking about buying it. Then I had one of the guys walk up to the Audi and tell her congratulations on her new car. She was so shocked! Smiling and hugging me. The guys - Peter, Anthony, Anthony w/ the green eyes - were very helpful, friendly, and patient. They made my first car buying experience rather enjoyable; overall I’m pretty content to have purchased my car from here!
I docked two stars because it seems safe to say that my car wasn’t thoroughly checked before selling it to me, as they stated they would. Pulling off the lot, the left break light was out, the left headlight was out, (After paying, I had to wait about an hour or so to get that fixed.) tire pressure was low until I put air in myself (one of the men insisted he had put air in before handing me the keys. My dad and I had to ask for the cap for the tire valve ourselves, as they likely forgot to put it on.) and now, at 66k miles, the check engine light is on. While this is my first car buying experience, these elements don’t seem indicative of a proper inspection.
Nonetheless, I’d still recommend anyone to do business with this dealership. Just make sure that, when you do, EVERYTHING is set before pulling off the lot. Ask questions.

I bought a truck from them. A acura mdx. Before i bought the truck i saw that the check engine light was on. They told me dont worry and when i pick up the truck the check engine light will be off. When I picked up the truck the check engine light was off. Not even a day driving it the check engine light came back on. Now its been 3 months of me having to drop my truck off to get fixed to the dealership and they bringing it back n forth to their mechanic. The check engine light keep coming on a couple days after i get my truck back. The dealership claims that it is the coils. I took the truck to my mechanic and he said its the ground wire and the oxygen sensor that needs to be fixed. Once that is fixed then that code for the coils shouldnt come up anymore. Im paying for a truck that my check engine light is still on. Tell me why their mechanic couldnt figure that out. It looks like to me they not fixing anything. They clearing the code then in a couple days the check engine light comes back on. I just want my truck fixed. It keep cutting off on me.
I was looking online for a Chevy stick shift when I found Rick's place. He agreed to stay open later to wait for me as I live about an hour away. I appreciated his accommodation. I looked the car over inside and out while Rick answered any and all questions I had with forthrightness. After the test drive, I agreed to buy it and Rick gave me a very solid deal on the purchase price. Through the whole process he was very personable and obliging to make the transition as smooth as possible. Thank you again!
The best! I have never been disappointed here. I was very frustrated at the quality of work and prices I was getting around town when a friend suggested this place. It was so hard to find a good honest reliable mechanic. I thought it was impossible but Bill proved me wrong.
Buying from here is a perfect example of Murphy's law: anything that can go wrong, will. I bought a car here the first week of July and less than a month later had to take it in for about $400 worth of repairs because it literally shut off on me on the highway. 4 times. Now 3 months later and after about a $1000 worth of work, I'm selling it for scrap because the radiator and a blown head gasket would cost me around $2000 to fix. Maybe I shouldn't gamble because I'm unlucky. Maybe this place is just absolute garbage. I'd double down on it being the latter.
