I have to go back there for the third time. Because of the incompetence of the employees in this store, they keep giving me the wrong bulb, even though I bring in the old bulb
Horrible service, employees think they know everything but know absolutely nothing, employees just stand around bullshitting instead of helping people, and absolutely zero effort into customer service.
I went to AutoZone in Stratford for three simple items. Associate David attempted to assist me during the process. However, upon exiting the store, the security alarm went off. David called me back in after I had already made it to my car. I returned, and he tried to deactivate the alarm. As I headed out again, the alarm went off a second time. Once again, I was called back after reaching my car.
This happened a third time, and at that point, David questioned my integrity by asking if I was stealing. Before re-entering the store, I had already handed the items back to him, and when I walked in alone, the alarm did not go off. Then, when David walked through the sensors with the items, the alarm went off again — proving it was the items, not me.
Accusing a customer of stealing without basis is completely unacceptable. There’s a way to handle things, and this was not it. I’ll never shop at this location again. Thanks, David.
The customer service here is spectacular. Cam and his employees went out of their way to help me in store and at my car in 30 degree weather. I definitely recommend them!
The employees at this location are very helpful. They helped me figure out the issue my car was having as well as ordering the part i needed. They were very patient with me and answered all my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend this location. Thank you AutoZone. 😊
Hey, good morning today is Thursday, December 12. It is 8:26 AM. I just want to say thank you so much to Dez who works at the AutoZone in Stratford) on Barnum Avenue. You were amazing this morning. You really helped me out with my finding the correct size lightbulb I needed for my headlights. I also wanna say the other 2 gentleman who were there were so friendly and polite. Billy (unsure if that is his name because I took a quick look at the name tag) and manager were very helpful today in getting my battery installed. Billy was quick in getting my battery put in and very kind. Thank you 🙏🏼
i brought my car in to have the check engine light check and the manager harmons helped me out and gave me the correct code and now i can look for the part to fix it he was a great help.
I am surely can make an extra ** for the service I received there, looking for my H-beam lights, Thank you Bryan (Young repr) for being a good helper, who is knowledgeable, patient and showed me an outstanding customer service giving to me the chance to replace and install the piece what I needed, even without asking to do it.
Don't go to Stratford ct autozone. They put wrong battery in my car to big that could of damaged my alternator and electric system. The manager, district,and regional manager was dishonest people. Plus the 2nd time they changed my battery it was installed wrong and I was stuck on the side of a busy road.
Not one to post negative reviews but this one is totally warranted. I walked into the Barnum Ave Stratford CT store on Friday 4/19 at 7:45pm and saw two customer service reps behind the counter upon entering the store and headed for the motor oil section. I was the only customer in the store. I spent a few minutes looking for 5 quarts of the Liqui Moly which I saw earlier today online but didn’t see it on the rack. I decided to ask one of the reps on hand to see if they had it in stock. I went to the front desk and no one was there but I could hear voices coming from the stock room and the other from one of the isles. I found a female customer service rep in one of the isles who was carrying a conversation with a co worker who she couldn’t see because he was in the back. I excused myself and asked for help. I literally stood there in front of the female rep while she was yelling product info to her co worker and she had the ordacity to completely ignore me. No eye contact, no acknowledgement of the customer. I put my hand up in disbelief, walked away before she decided to follow me out of the store before she decided to ask if she could help me. I told her she was now free to finish her conversation with her co worker and I took my business to Advance Autoparts which is directly across the street from this location. I am 20+ year financial services professional, with plenty of disposable income and customer experience management who likes to perform his own maintenance on his own cars. This will be the last time I will ever visit this store, even if it means paying more either at Advance and O’Reillys which is down the street. The Liqui Moly oil was $5 more at the competition. So what! Management I thought I should make you aware of my poor customer experience at your store. The sense of entitlement and indifference in customer service today is awful. Gone are the days when people genuinely care and took pride in their work..
James Jenkins was so nice, helped me pick out wipers for my car and windshieldd washer fluid. Replaced the wipers and added the fluid. That’s what I call great customer service. Wonderful attitude. Thank you James, will see you back if I ever need anything.
Went there for a battery today. The salesman tried to sell me the most expensive one. The only good thing for me they didn’t have it in stock. So he told me another store had it. But wanted me to pay for it there, but I said I will pay for it at the store I get it from. So when I got to the other store the salesman there informed me I did not need the more expensive one. The regular one was good for my vehicle and last the same amount of time. Not a good salesman thumbs down for that salesman
I reluctantly came here because the other 2 stores across the street didn't have the blades I wanted. AZ had what I wanted, checkout was quick, and the store wasn't dark/grimy like a certain one on the other side of the street.
Customer service is horrible in all of the Bridgeport ct stores. I'm done with autozone. Half of their employees are unexperienced and have bad attitudes. 👎I recommend Corporate to not only call multiple times to see for themselves but also Go in-person multiple times to the same stores.
A young lady named Destiny save my no headlight life. I walked into the store and asked for help to replace my headlights, that I’ve been riding around with for days in my car, because when I purchased them from the North Avenue location, they were unable to install them for me, even after going back a couple days after. She was quick and efficient and even showed me how to replace them.

went there with my husband to get a battery for his car and the general manger of the store Duncan greeted us and was so helpful and kind. helped us pick out the best battery and even installed it!! we told our family if they ever need any car parts to go to stratford autozone!!!
You know it's never a great start to the day when your car won't start while getting gas before work. Those events lead me to Autozone in Stratford. My experience today was remarkable! I worked with the store manager, Antwain. From the moment I walked in and connected with him, he had all the equipment he needed and was ready to go to my car. He ran his test, told me it was the battery, cashed me out, and installed my battery, and that's not even the remarkable part. This man did it with an injured hand!!!
I tend to be very social, every introvert's worst nightmare. He told me he was in a pretty serious accident and had to have surgery on his hand but needed to come to work for personal and business needs. (even at this point I probably wouldn't have written the view, but once I saw him with his employees). Antiwan praised a coworker coming in and spoke so highly, and with such respect. It is really so amazing to see, today's world of everyone wanting things done yesterday, and just so much negativity it was really nice to see some pure kindness. This man embodies the core values of the company's ideal employee! ANTIWAN thank you so much for your kindness today, and for really helping install a new car battery today!
Very helpful and professional staff. I was looking to purchase something to cover a scratch on my car someone came to close to my driver's side corner panel and left tire marks plus scratches it's so frustrating maintaining your car and someone else comes and damages the car. Grateful the staff at AutoZone was able to help me out! They made my day😁
Great Store. Immediate service by a knowledgeable salesperson. Not only did he go out of his way to get the right part, he installed it for me. Simple windshield wipers but he made sure they were properly locked. Couldn't ask for better service.
Answering the phone and at the front desk was Ricky I believe his name was, all around great guy, with a packed store and clearly a lot on his plate he was calm, collected, and nearly seemed to enjoy assisting me in my attempts to get my car ready for my trip in a hurry. The service tech was Antonio, this kid realized i was in a hurry and bent over backwards to get me on my way, he even went as far as to roll my spare I was getting fixed right over to my car because I hadn't seen the auto text and he saw me waiting in the parking lot. HIGHLY recommended. Cant be the prices, and honestly even if the prices were higher it'd still be worth it at this place. Needless to say, with the customer support I'm used to, this left me speechless with a smile. Thanks guys.
The staff is always helpful. I’ve had them out checking codes on my jeep and helping me with the new FOP I bought there. I like the little guy across the street too where I go for my husband but I’m mostly in Auto Zone.
The prices are decent. If your looking for break pads you can purchase life time pads. All you need to do is keep your receipt or have an account with them and return the old pads after you replace them. Staff always seems under staffed but they are always helpful.
