AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I brought my VW in last week for a CarPlay issue and was told that it was the USB port that needed replacement and could be replaced. Today when I picked up the car, the CarPlay didn't work with my phone and was told that it was my USB A to USB C adapter that was the issue. Why wasn't I told this last week? While discussing this issue with the individual who works in service and sits in the office behind the service desk, he cursed at me several times using the F word numerous. This is no way to treat a customer, represent a business and brand, and act in public. He needs to be reported immediately and should be ashamed of himself for acting in such a manor. NEVER GO TO CURRAN VW SERVICE. AVOID.

Purchased a VW Tiguan from Curran VW. Tom Backer exceeded my expectations, once again! The process was smooth and stress-free. Tom is genuine, patient and caring! He took the time to explain the answers to ALL of my questions. I never felt rushed or like I was "just another customer." Tom went above and beyond to make sure I was informed and confident. Barbara was well organized and helpful as well which made everything flow seamlessly. Well done all around, thank you!

I love owning a Volkswagen and do not love bringing it to Curran for service. Every single time I'm reminded that you get very little for what you pay for. The staff is also hit or miss. I've had people that are helpful and others that seem annoyed they had to take my information to work on my car. It's the closest VW dealership to me but I didn't buy my car from them and I can't help but think this also changes their relationship with the customer. Whatever

They are horrible! I brought my car in for a repair that another shop ultimately messed up doing which was replacing a coil, while replacing it they broke my coil ignition plug. My car was throwing all these random misfiring codes. So I had Volkswagen, diagnose my car. For them to MIS - DIAGNOSE my car! They said I need 4 new fuel injectors, $1,500 for parts & almost "$2,000 for labor". They deemed my car UNSAFE to drive; not stating that they swapped around my coils during the 2 hours diagnosis period. I still took my car, parked it until I was able to safely drive & brought my vehicle to a my father which of whom owns a shop & scanner. He scanned the car, swapped all new spark plugs, all new coils (2 of which were broken! Coil 1 & Coil 3), Volkswagen knows because they changed the only 1 new coil (Coil 2) with (Coil 4), we did a fuel system cleaner (which ED stated that wouldn't help my car), I do my oil changes like I should & have them documented. They cleared the codes on my car & it went from Limp mode to running beautifully. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE ESPECIALLY ED, he's who answers for service almost 75% of the time. I disclosed to them when I was paying & picking my car up that they are only doing this to me because I am a minority woman! I left out paying $600 for a coil ignition plug & TERRIBLE DIAGNOSIS! If I was a man I highly doubt they would have quoted them $3500 for a job that would have NEVER fixed my car. A $300 job with parts & labor was the correct diagnosis. I personally recorded & left a voicemail for the Store Manager LAST WEEK ON September 8, 2025 @ 9:23AM! He still has yet to contact me back after almost a week!! How professional??? I guess they only service best the people of their own kind & people like myself, minorities are being ripped off and robbed by these people only a town away from diversity. This is the ultimate STEALER SHIP. I will be filing a DMV Compliance Complaint for being robbed. If only other customers reported their interactions with this Stealership!! Stay Away from these people! Their warranties are horrible and they will rape your pockets! Bring your car to a smaller CERTIFIED mechanic if you need & want dignified service. I will post receipts if need be! Again they Misdiagnosed my car to try to get me to pay $3500 for a repair that would have NOT fixed my car & Volkswagen knew that!!! I had to go in & pick my car up! They would not call me when to come pick it up! And when I paid in full, they were upset!!! I was scrutinized by the worker Ed & the guy that sits in the office behind Ed AT the service desk! Complete intimidation! I can only imagine what they do when someone is trying to buy a car how much they will intimidate someone if they try to leave!

I love Curran VW. They have helped me with my third car now. Gianni- who helped me into the Atlas last week, was great. He was honest and transparent, which made me feel as though he wasn’t just trying to sell me. He, coupled with the finance manager, Barbara, are the dream team. She was also transparent and truly tried to find the best deal that worked for me. I won’t go anywhere else.

Since purchasing this vehicle in April 2025 at Curran Volkswagens in Stratford, CT, I had to return it for a check engine light notification in May 2025. They kept my car for about 20-30 days. The check engine light came on again in July 2025 and I scheduled with the dealership to look at it. They stated they wouldn't have a loaner available until mid August. I rescheduled for the car to be looked at for Mid August. When I arrived to drop the car off they again didn't have a loaner until mid September. I informed them this is an inconvenience and I have been having problems with the car since I got it. They informed me that my mode of transportation is not there responsibility and that its a used car and liable to have issues. I told them I would like the car diagnosed. They then informed me that I would be responsible for a $349 fee and wanted me to sign a document stating I'm responsible for this payment. I told them I'm not agreeing to pay anything with this car because I have only had it going on 4 months. 30 days out of the 60 day warranty they had it and now the extended warranty should kick in. They told me the issue could be a mouse chewing on a wire switch they wouldn't be responsible for and I would need to pay the $350 fee before they would release my car. I told them I had it prematurely checked at Auto Zone and it was an oil code nothing to do with electrical. They told me this conversation was over if I didn't agree to pay the $350. My check engine light is still on.

Last week we had the unfortunate experience of being told that our engine was blown which resulted in a total loss of our VW vehicle. Eddie served as the service representative for our case and advised us with care, expertise and compassion. Facing a $9,000 repair bill which was less than the value of the car, Eddie suggested alternatives to salvaging or reselling the car, allowed for an extended period on the lot while we evaluated the options--given the car is registered in VA--and then assisted us with the final decision. Eddie has a well established reputation for excellent customer service in the larger Stratford area and our experience with this case only bolsters that well-earned reputation. Gianni, Barbara and Justin were the absolute professionals with all of my dealings with them. I had an issue with my insurance company after my car was totaled, they were incredibly patient and understanding while I had to hand hold my insurance company through totaling my car. I would highly recommend this dealership.

I have never been to Curran VW until recently - I ran into a last minute issue with my Taos and needed assistance in a timely manner for unexpected repairs. I am unbelievably surprised that some reviews here say anything but good notes regarding Curran VW because the Service Manager, Shawn V, took me in right away and turned around my coolant leak faster than any other VW Dealer has before. They were anything but dismissive to my concern & time restraints. They made me feel like a valued customer and my Taos is running like new. They even washed it for me! I couldn't be more grateful to Shaun & his service team - they seem to run a tight-ship! Thank you guys, again!

I’ve been a loyal Volkswagen owner for years—every car I’ve owned has been a VW. But after my recent experience with this dealership, I can confidently advise others not to buy from Curran. After my Jetta was improperly towed, it immediately started riding differently—excessive vibration through the steering wheel, pedals, and floor, especially at highway speeds and during turns. Concerned, I brought it to the dealership to have it inspected. Before that, I had already taken the car to a trusted shop for an alignment and new tires. The technician there agreed something was off—without me even bringing it up—and specifically recommended I bring it to a Volkswagen dealership or a European car specialist to investigate further. Unfortunately, I ran headfirst into the dealership’s notorious dismissiveness toward noise and vibration complaints. I get it—these issues are annoying to diagnose. But brushing off a paying customer’s concern because it’s not an “easy” fix is unacceptable. They told me a technician drove the car and “couldn’t feel” the issue. That’s interesting, considering anyone who sits in the car for more than 30 seconds can clearly feel something isn’t right. Still, they kept the car, with a technician reportedly spending numerous hours running diagnostics and inspecting components—trying to identify a problem they claimed they couldn’t even feel during the test drive. Yet no solution, no solid explanation, and definitely no accountability. It was essentially: “Well, we didn’t feel it, so we’re not going to do much about it.” Out of frustration, I brought the car to another Volkswagen dealership. Without even putting the vehicle on a lift—just by taking it for a quick test drive—their technician immediately noticed the vibration and confirmed that something wasn’t right. That level of attentiveness and professionalism made a world of difference. I ended up trading in the car and buying a brand-new 2025 Jetta from that dealership—business that could have easily gone to Curran Volkswagen, had they taken my concerns seriously. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve trusted this brand and dealership for years, but I can no longer justify that trust. I won’t be buying another Volkswagen from Curran ever, and I certainly won’t be recommending this dealer to anyone looking for a car—unless they enjoy being ignored when something goes wrong.

So sincerely disappointed in the service department staff. Don’t want to say how unresponsive, uncaring and unprofessional the service staff is, out of concern of retribution or retaliation. Disappointed because we will more likely than not need to avoid their service department and go elsewhere.. And further we would avoid buying another VW all because we believe that (a) dealership service staff is far more important than the sales staff because typically more time is spent interacting with service staff employees over the life of a vehicle….. we wish we knew this would be our service experience before we bought our VE……Looking for nothing more than a kind and helpful and friendly service team… so disappoint in this service department. ** sales experience was good but not enough to overcome the extremely poor service department unfortunately.

Worthy of more than 5 stars! Amazing / positive experience! Worth a 4 hour drive! My wife and I are from Pennsylvania. I researched prices online for an Atlas at many non-and Volkswagen dealerships in PA, NY NJ, DE, MD and CT.. We found the best price at Curran VW and completed the entire process online seamlessly. They even beat my credit union’s interest rate significantly!! The customer service from Kathleen, Tom, Todd, Barbara, Sean, John and Justin was the best we’ve ever experienced! They were patient and answered all our questions without any pressure. All were honest and trustworthy! Phenomenal people! We will purchase our next vehicle from them in the future!

We have leased and bought several cars from VW Curran. My husband and I most recently bought a car from Gianni who was patient even when we were looking outside in poor weather. He took the time to explain the difference between trim options and financing vs. leasing scenarios for us. Barbara was wonderful during the transaction. She was honest, felt like a friend and answered all of my questions. Finally, I was very impressed with Eddie in the service department! This week I took our Atlas in for a 30,000 mile service appt during which he was a pleasure to talk to and very kind. We are looking forward to seeing the new showroom and wish Curran all the best!

John, was very knowledgeable with the Tiguan I purchased. He went over every aspect of the car, and there was a lot to go over. He was very friendly and pleasant. My whole experience with this place was great! Everyone was so nice and so patient with me, they made sure I knew what I was getting into before anything was said and done. Definitely recommend this place to purchase your next car!

Just wanted to leave a glowing review for Gianni! We walked into Curran just wanting to test drive an Atlas at the last minute and he went above and beyond to explain everything about the car and provided everything we were expecting out of a simple car buying experience. Our experience with him has remained one of the most thorough, easy and customer service oriented experiences that we’ve had across several different dealerships. Although we ultimately ended up going with a different brand, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend him for anyone looking for a Volkswagen or a smooth car buying experience!

This is the finest group of people I have encountered at a dealership. Tom the sales manager is responsive, kind, and transparent. Darius from sales is a hard worker who goes the extra for the customers. And Justin who handled the closing paperwork is very knowledgeable without being pushy, and works hard for the customers. I had an interest in a vehicle and the team put it on hold for me until I was able to come in person since I live in New York. They were communicative and made the car buying experience a pleasure. I would recommend Curran Volkswagen to anyone looking for either a new or used vehicle.

I've bought many cars in the past and I don't think any were as smooth as my experience with Curran VW was. I traveled about 4 hours because they had the exact trim color mileage and price that I was looking for, they knew this and made accommodations to make everything super fast and easy, I'm very happy with my new car. George in parts is always so helpful whenever I go to purchase parts. No complaints. Can't say much on the service department as I never used them. Called once for an appointment to get my Volkswagen service but never did, seemed expensive and the appointment time was too far out, needed something much sooner. The Agent was sharp and very much rushed. I ended going elsewhere to get my vehicle serviced.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in the right place! I "knew" exactly what I was looking for, but I still had a ton of questions! Chris made the process so easy for me. He answered all of my questions, gave great suggestions, and offered to let me test drive the car the same day, which helped in making my decision. He sent all of the information to me by email and text within minutes, which was great. After I went home that night, and reviewed the information, I made the decision to move forward. Within three days of me confirming the vehicle I wanted and the features, I received a call from Barbara, who informed me that my vehicle had arrived. We scheduled a time for pickup, she explained the pickup process to me, and even accommodated me when I needed to make a last minute change. The day that I picked up my vehicle, she took her time to go over finances with me. Since this was my first time, I was a little nervous! She made me feel very comfortable and gave me all of the tools that I needed to be able to select the options that worked best for me. Darius was great in going over the car with me before I left. He went over all of the features, and even connected my phone for me! It has been one week since I picked up my car and I am absolutely in love with it! I'm grateful for the exceptional service I received from start to finish, and I look forward to continuing my relationship with Curran VW for many years to come! Thank you Curran VW! Eric Wanzie and Barbara in finance are a power duo! I had a FANTASTIC experience upgrading my lease from a White 2018 VW Tiguan S to an Atlantic Blue Metallic 2021 VW Tiguan S. Eric did everything to get me a great deal and Barbara clearly explained everything in finance. There even was a person who helped me learn about the new features once I was given the keys. I highly recommend buying your next Volkswagen at Curran. They are the best!

Love this VW dealership, if your going to buy a VW or thinking about it, go see Eric Wanzie @ Curran, trust me, he is as real as they come and extremely down to earth I can't say enough, I have purchased my last 2 vehicles from Curran/Eric and won't buy any where else now, The service department be is top notch too 😀
