I purchased a CX-5 with Alex, who was very patient and knowledgeable. Car salespeople can sometimes be off-putting, but Alex made the whole process feel un-rushed and low stress. I first came in for a test drive on the weekend and then came back again during the week before committing to my purchase, and Alex was equally helpful both times. After the purchase, he also took plenty of time helping me connect my phone to the car and showing me interior features that would be useful. I’m looking forward to enjoying my CX-5, and I can definitely say I was very happy with my shopping and buying experience at Mazda Thousand Oaks, thanks to Alex!

Stay away. I bought my car there and took it in to have the alarm fixed. It would go off at random time, including the middle of the night. They didn't fix it. I also paid $25 to have the key fob batteries replaced. They only fixed one but charged me for two. My alarm continued to be a problem until I pulled the fuse for the horn. They also charge twice as much as JiffyLube and didn't check the fluid levels in the car.These guys can't be trusted.

Finance guy is a sneaky guy, during signing the contract he added $1995 for a Fusion alarm that I didn’t need he was just scrolling thru the I pad and got me to sign for it and gave me the contract on a flash drive thinking that I wouldn’t read it again. Be extremely cautious with this guy.

We recently purchased a CX-90 from Mazda Thousand Oaks, and from the very first call with Alex Calinescu through the completion of our purchase, the experience was outstanding. Alex was professional, polite, and extremely helpful, a combination that’s not always easy to find in car sales. I would gladly recommend Mazda Thousand Oaks, and especially Alex, to anyone considering a Mazda. In fact, I’m planning to return in a couple of weeks for another!

I recently purchased a used Mazda and was helped by Alex, who made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I had the chance to look at plenty of cars before finding the perfect one, and Alex made sure everything was stress-free along the way. When I left the lot, the car was freshly detailed and even came with some great bonus features like CarPlay. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and really appreciate the excellent service from the entire staff.

Came in on a Saturday at 1:30. Walked around the cars trying to take a look for about 20 minutes. Nobody came out to help. Walked into the building to get some help, nobody bothered leaving their office to come say hi. Ended up leaving the dealership since it seems like they don’t want my business. Parking is also a bit of a pain

I let my friend change my oil and noticed a leak after a few days. I took my car to Mazda Thousand Oaks to check it out and found out I needed a whole new oil change. Jake and his team were incredibly friendly and accommodating and provided me with that service free of charge. Always a great experience at this location. Highly recommend!!

Didnt end up buying a vehicle bc i found one in the color I wanted elsewhere. But coming in justin and joe (mgr) were very kind, informative and NOT pushy which i experienced so much while car shopping. They answered all my questions. I wish i could have given them my business. I would highly recommend visiting Justin for a car.

I purchased my 2025 Mazda CX-70 premium from this location, and it was a great experience. Brandon made the process super easy, and he did not place any pressure on purchasing any vehicle. He was patient, empathetic, flexible, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and went above and beyond following the sale of my new vehicle to detail the inside and outside of my car. Vahe, the financial manager, was also helpful, knowledgeable, and transparent, which made me more confident in my purchase. I had a fantastic experience buying my Cx-5 at Mazda Thousand Oaks. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Terrible service. They are friendly and happy to sell you a car, but then ignore you when it doesn't work (days later!). I will never buy another Mazda from this dealership again. Bought a brand new CX-90 PHEV at the beginning of April. Immediately it started making grinding transmission noises and surging at low speeds. Talked to service over the phone who said "it's probably breaking in" and not to bring it in until it gets worse. Well, it got worse. Took a drive with the shop manager Freddy, and he confirmed it wasn't normal and wanted to keep the car so he could look into it. A few days later they said that "according to Mazda corporate, it is normal and safe to drive". Puzzled, I asked for some more details - which they have yet to explain. I told them I'm not driving the car again until someone can help me understand why this is happening, how this is safe, how this is not causing internal damage, and prove that Mazda is working on a fix. Crickets. I keep calling and going into the dealership every few days because no one is getting back to me. Joe the sales manager offered to do an 'exchange' if I paid $20k out of pocket due to the depreciation in the 6 days I had the car in my posession (no thanks, jerk). Alex the service manager just keeps telling me not to get legal involved, but instead to file a claim with Mazda corporate (did that, they were supposed to get back to me last week, no call from them either). I'm sure they'll respond here that the car is fine and I'm overreacting, but look in online forums and you'll find many other similar complaints. My story is not unique. Mazda has gone downhill. Long story short, I've never been so mad at a dealership in my life. Spent $60k on a new car that isn't safe to drive, with no resolution. I suggest you avoid them at all costs.

Brought a car in for inspection due to burning fuses. Paid about $400 for an inspection on the electrical components but they said they wanted to a safety inspection. Quickly, they found the burned fuses and replaced them.I believe that they did not find the reason why they burned as after being discharged my vehicle burned a fuse and shut off in the blink of an eye leaving me disabled in front of the Chevrolet Dealership. Thankfully, a Chevrolet Technician quickly noticed us and tried to provide aid with a jump starter. As soon as he opened the hood, he noticed and informed us the 30AMP fuse was missing. Out of frustration I ran back to Mazda to have the car towed back due to their negligence of testing the car before discharging me, I could’ve died as my car stopped in the middle of a busy street with mere seconds to pull into a wrong way exit for cover. I waited for 2 1/2 more hour for my car to be towed and argue with Mazda. The Mechanic was as trying to sell me both Engine and inside wiring harness totaling up to $10,000 which is extremely unfortunate as they could not guarantee a fix nor know the real issue and provide a solution but definitely expensive trial and error of changing parts. Knowing the 30AMP I continued to Persue for another inspection but they would not honor their extreme mistake and tried to replace the wiring harnesses. The Mechanic told me my car was not worth the money to spend and to leave my car as downpayment/ trade-in for another car Lastly I was discharged with the mechanic stating my car was not safe to run and that my best bet was to hire a tow truck or head to Oriley’s to buy packs of fuses as my car turned off while running. Beware of safety negligence. I bought a pack of fuses and placed the 30AMP where it belonged and no fuses have been behaving strange again. I give glory to God all Mighty who helped me in the situation and brought the lies and confusion to the light as I struggled.

Dishonesty with pictures about the condition of the vehicle. Scratches, paint chips everywhere and rear bumper coming off but not disclosed. Said I had nothing to worry about. Also they clean their cars with BRUSHES scratching every car they "fully" detail. Won't take no for an answer after discovering engine oil was oddly way over the limit. Waste of time and predatory gas lighting. Telling me the oil check marks were to hold in the stick... The salesman was great and helpful. Everyone else wouldn't come down on the price of a car with scratches, random paint scuffs, bumper coming off, and an engine with problems. Not a dime when I brought up, what we didn't like about the vehicle. The one we came for.

Not a pleasant experience to buy a car from this dealer. I found the car online, 2021 Mazda cx-9 GT lease return with low miles, called the dealer for availability. I leave in a different state. (use to leave in Thousand oaks and bought 4 cars from this place in the past. Never had a problem before. Very bad communication from the sales person named Latham. I was pre-approved by my Credit union with all the paperwork in hands, I picked the car I want, we agreed on the price, and still it field like they don't want to sell the car(((. I had to chase them around LOL. Finally after talking the the sales manager I was able to finalize the deal. When I flew to LA and came to pick up the car, the car had a huge scratch on the hood that no one bother to tell me about. They simply told me what do you expect from the used car? Communication would be nice I said. Anyway it was a good deal and I liked the car. But i will never come back to Mazda of Thousand Oaks to buy another car.

I leased my first Mazda in 2017 at this location and have been driving a Mazda since. The outstanding customer service is half of reason I stick with Mazda! Jake, who I see almost every time I go, is fantastic and goes above and beyond for me. The other staff members are extremely friendly and always willing to help as well. They are honest and never try to sell me things I don’t need. I can always get an appointment in a short time and they do a very good job of servicing my vehicle quickly! Highly recommend this mazda location and Mazda in general!

These guys are awesome! They're super friendly and know exactly what they're doing. When my check engine light came on they got it diagnosed and fixed within hours, and all under warranty. They even gave me a loaner, saving me the cost of a rental car, that was the same make and model (even the same color!) as mine, making it easier to adjust to. Definitely recommend.

I bought my first Mazda back in 2020 from this dealership. It was a CX5 Signature Turbo and I loved it so much- there was nothing I didn’t like about it. I have been taking it to this service department since the beginning. Alex, Joe, and Jake have always been super helpful and friendly and I always felt well taken care of. Sadly, my car was recently totaled which was traumatic and devastating. For days I felt out of sorts. I wasn’t sure if I could get into another Turbo which was heartbreaking… A couple days after the accident Jake from service called to let me know that Danny, the GM saw my accident. He recognized my plates and had Jake call me to check in to see how I was doing. It felt really nice to know they cared enough to call! After telling Jake what happened he told me I should talk to a Richard in Sales, so I could try to get into another one. They had one 2023 model that was almost identical to my CX5 aside from a couple of upgrades. Richard met with me to go over my options last night. Things have changed significantly with interest rates since I bought the first one, so I wasn’t hopeful that I’d be able to afford the payments for the same model. Richard was honest and more than fair when we went through the process. We got everything settled for me to pick the car up today. When I came to get my car this afternoon, he took his time walking me through getting my phone paired and showing me new features on the car that I didn’t have before. We talked about family as well, which made me feel truly appreciated as a customer, that it wasn’t just business. This last week has been so stressful and upsetting… walking out of the dealership last night was the first time it felt like things were looking up. Leaving with a new car today was the icing on the cake. I appreciate these guys so much. They are friendly and accommodating, and the fact that employees stick around for a long time says a lot about the business. Thank you guys!

Buying a car from Neftin Mazda has to be the best experience I have had in my long history of buying cars. Cynthia Votava is amazing at her job. She truly cares about her customer’s experience and satisfaction. I knew exactly what I wanted and she made it happen. We thoroughly went through the whole buying/finance process without pressure or the ugly sales pitches. The little personal touches added to the experience. I bought a used car based off their website listing. You could only tell this car was used apart from the new cars for sale based on the odometer reading. This dealership does not sell junk. They sell high quality, Mazda certified vehicles. The car was even prepped for me to test drive prior to showing up! Washed, cooled down (it was a 100 degree day) and it even had a personalized, reserved sign for my test drive! Mark K in finance was fantastic to work with. No hard sales or pressure, just a lot of care, facts and great advice. As part of the buying experience, I met the cashier, service and parts staff. Everyone was so friendly, professional and happy. The dealership is super clean and well kept. Again, a reflection of the care they put into the customer experience. I will absolutely continue to do business with Neftin Mazda again.

Was looking for a specific MX 5 club soul red. Neftin received the car I was looking for in a dealer trade. I had received a quote from another dealer on the exact car. Brought the wife over to look at the car, she approved. Salesman Tim helped us and was extremely nice and helpful. We worked on the deal. We went home to sleep on it, no pressure from Tim what so ever. Went back the next day and made the purchase. Thanks again Tim and the rest of the folks over at Neftin.
