Went there, Carlos is unprofessional can’t even have simple conversation with him without him getting offended, LEENA looks like a lost puppy and will sell you a broken car and Angel the manager doesn’t really help in any way he does not care about his customers. Save your money and go somewhere else save yourself a headache. They do not care about their customers. They talk about having five stars more like 4.6 this place is a joke.

Such a great experience. Normally, buying a car is not pleasurable. DCH Thousand Oaks Subaru was the absolutely best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Plus, once you buy the car, they continue to contact you to insure you are satisfied. We are more than satisfied with the car, the sales process and the aftercare follow-up.

I went there to buy a 2025 Outback Limited I saw on line. I called and made an appointment to see it. When I arrived the salesman had moved it next to the sales floor door.. We discussed what I wanted in order to "seal the deal" The deal included a 2013 Outback Limited that I wanted to trade in. The Salesman, Manager, & Financial Representative were friendly, helpful and made the entire experience enjoyable.

I initially left a review following an awful experience with the dishonest sales people at this location when I purchased the vehicle. Initially we thought it would be useful , but they added about 6k worth of add ons and warantees and when we came for our first service , the person we worked with claimed it had all expired which made no sense to me considering how much we paid. They were snarky and defensive and it didn’t make me feel safe to bring the car back to the dealership. We had an incident last weekend where our tire went flat , so we decided to come in and we did just as the service department was closing , Adam and Daniel were there and initially informed us that they were closing and checked the spare tire to make sure it was safe to at least drive home, Adam checked and said he didn’t want us driving the car because it wasn’t safe , they stayed past closing time and gave us a loner car because they were concerned for our safety driving the vehicle as is . Daniel got us set up for our service and to replace the tires. He was so honest and even informed us that the warantees & add ons that we paid for were STILL active , which was the complete opposite of what we were told on our last visit for service at this location. He made sure we paid for what was necessary and didn’t claim we needed anything we didn’t.
Daniel was AWESOME !!! Very kind , honest , informative and made us feel safe to return the next time we need help with the car. This was a complete contrast to our initial experience. Friendly team, with predatory practices which seem standard across several dealerships in this area. You can check them out, just be careful they don't try scamming you like they did to me. My experience is related to a used car I financed.

I had received a call about a car inquiry I made very quickly - within minutes. Rudy was friendly and patient while I was processing a lot of info during my car searching. I ended up going to another dealership in the area which I left to check out this one. I walked in without an appointment and they were quick to offer help and get me into a test drive.
The only issue I ran into was during the financing part. They tried charging $1500 for CLEAR coating. This was not something discussed, was not in the price of the car, and was something they had already done to protect the car; not something I opted into. I researched it, and if I paid directly to get CLEAR coating done it should only be $200-400. This 3-4x upcharge on something I shouldn't be charged for in the first place was ridiculous and I was about to leave because of it. Luckily they waived the fee, though it left a VERY bad taste in my mouth since the car I was buying was already heavily used.
Other than that one bad experience, everything else went relatively smooth. I didn't have many options, but after that attempt to gouge me, I felt very uncomfortable and would likely have left since I was already 'settling' for this car as one of my best immediate options as an interim commuter.
Overall, friendly place just be careful because they will likely try tacking on fees on top of whatever price they say the car 'actually' costs.Jan 02, 2026 -
I had a great experience working with Kevin when purchasing my Subaru Forester. He is extremely professional and also very funny, which made the whole process relaxed and enjoyable. I've dealt with Galpin, Mistake. My daughter went to Subaru Sherman Oaks, mistake. Subaru of Glendale, criminal. DCH is a company that cares about it's customers. My wife is sad they left Simi. It's been worth it to take my Impreza to Thousand Oaks. The staff is super friendly. The customer lounge is very hospitable. The service get's done in a timely manner.

I purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe from this location. I will not make the same mistake again. Never purchase used vehicles from this dealer that are not Subaru vehicles as they won't be certified pre-owned. During the sale, I was pressured into agreeing for a higher price than what was verbally agreed upon to my by the sales rep. Additionally, my vehicle did not come with the charging cable, nor did the dealer and team do anything to make that right. Lastly, this vehicle is impacted by the California Lemon Law and my purchase is not covered by the law as it wasn't certified pre-owned.
Beward before you buy from this dealer. They will sell you a car using techniques just like any other used car salesman.Dec 05, 2025 -

Word of warning to anyone considering buying a used vehicle from this dealership: MAKE SURE IT HAS BEEN SMOGGED! We purchased a GMC Sierra from them earlier this year that was not and the check engine light came on during our 2 hour drive back home and it was a slough of issues from that moment, having to take it in twice after buying it. Dealing with Karen the used car manager is a giant headache and you won't have a chance to get Mike, the GM on the phone to help with anything either. The truck was in the shop for a week each on two separate occasions waiting on approvals for the work it needed. They only paid for one of the week long rental bills while we were left without the vehicle we had just purchased. A month after the second week of work was finished, I had the Chevy dealership that did the work calling me still trying to get a hold of Karen trying to collect payment still and I don't know if it was ever resolved between them. On our end, It was one of the worst financial experiences. This happened in May, and it has taken me months to calm down enough to write a clear headed review that didn't contain explicit language or personal insults. That being said, the dealership itself is nice with a great waiting area for kids and of course the sales people are friendly.

I couldn’t have asked for better support. They have great team work. Especially my sales person LEENA, her patience was remarkable, her personality warm and welcoming. She is a young girl but she has knowledge and she knows exactly what she is doing. I felt completely cared for throughout the entire process.
If you go there, ask LEENA. You won’t be disappointed.
Also finance guy Stephen, he was very nice. Explain simple and clear. He wasn’t pushy at all.

I am new to the world of Subaru, as this Forester is our first. I can't say enough good things about this dealership! From the sales team, to the advice from the service department, to the extra steps they take to make sure we understood all of the neat options on our Subaru. Mathias was extremely knowledgeable about our vehicle, and answered all my many questions with patience. Looking forward to enjoying this car for many, many years!

Horrible experience! After shaking hands with a final deal, Sales manager Angel goes back on the deal. Wasted many hours. After the deal was made, I decided to just buy it without financing the vehicle. That's when he changed his mind. Never going back there and will be telling all my friends the horrible experience! This dealer plays too many games and will waste your time.

Went to do my regular maintenance. Always a good time there. Nice waiting room. Everyone is so nice! You can tell when it’s a good work environment when they’re joking with each other. I’m on my last year of my lease, I was thinking of getting a different brand of car but hmmmm maybe I should stick with Subaru. Thanks again!

Everyone was so helpful and patient at DCH Subaru Thousand Oaks. I did not feel pressured at all to make a quick decision. I was able to explore the many different options available and am happy with the deal that I got. Kevin and Stephan were both very informative and went above and beyond throughout the entire process.

My wife and I purchased a gently used 2022 Toyota Prius Limited through DCH Subaru of Thousand Oaks yesterday with salesman Dylan Jarvis and the experience was second to none. The level of service and professionalism exhibited by Dylan J. and the dealership team, including Finance Manager Stephen Allison, was 10 out of 10. Even though we live in Fountain Valley, CA and made the 3 hours roundtrip drive to this dealer I wouldn't hesitate to do it again and/or recommend this stellar dealership to any family and friends looking for a Subaru or nice pre-owned automobile. These guys are a class act, and it was a genuinely enjoyable experience. Thanks again for making the typically difficult car buying experience completely satisfying!

Terrible service. I was consistently mansplained to and handed over to a salesman who genuinely couldn't answer a single one of my questions, no matter how often I asked or rephrased them. The only time he would actually get out of his damn chair was when I then asked, can you please check with your manager? At which he rolled his eyes and would walk over and get an answer for me. I am disappointed at how much they can get away with and expect their customers to be ok with it.

Went to Thousand Oaks Subaru, the representative Troy Scott was informative and handsome looking man. He provided great detail of what my car needed down to the key parts that needed to be replaced. gave me an exact price. Very warm customer service and fair price. Excellent man recommend him.

I had several back-and-forth conversations with several people from this dealership because of my many questions. I originally spoke to Rigio, who suggested I talk to Dylan for more specifics. Dylan was gonna get back to me with the answers, but instead had Matthias call me and he with all the answers. I was assured that the Ram truck 2022 with 13,000 miles was in perfect condition. We agreed on all the terms of the sale on the phone. It took me 2 1/2 hours to drive to the dealership and I was not the slightest bit disappointed with all the dealership represented. They were very timely with the vehicle presentation and all the paperwork. Stefan wrapped up the contract with me. He was very professional and took his time to present the contract and the many options that I would have in addition to the purchase of the truck. This dealership and all the people I met, including ancillary staff were very professional and extremely friendly. I absolutely would be a repeat customer.

Dylan in sales was top notch he walked me thru the entire process and explained every detail and explained every option that was available like my Suburu /warranties /options.. etc. he didn’t miss a thing. he explained and covered everything and was very patient and understanding of my families needs. He also worked with me and made my experience of owning my 2nd Suburu seamless. I would recommend dylan to anyone for his Commitment to Suburu and his easy going and great attitude. He made me feel like family. And that speaks volumes. Also would like to add that he went above and beyond to make this possible. Stephen in finance was also a top notch player on your team. He was kind and patient and very personable and likeable. He also explained everything in detail and was very organized and professional and patient with the handling of the purchase of my new Suburu. Another huge asset to your team. This was my second Subaru purchase, and once again, I’m beyond happy with my experience. I brought my dog, Jimmy, with me to the dealership, and everyone treated him like royalty! Subaru’s love for dogs is the real deal, and it made the whole process even more enjoyable.

I’ve been looking for an EV for a while. There’s not one under $40K that I haven’t driven. I came close on a Kia, but the features just weren’t there. After seeing an ad for a deal on a Suburu Solterra EV, we went to DCH Suburu in Thousand Oaks to drive one. We have a Tesla 3 Performance (pre-Elon craziness) so the bar is set high. The Solterra is fantastic! It’s got the speed, performance, and amenities that we wanted at the right price. Our salesperson, Brandon, was friendly, accommodating, and good humored. We went with a lease (first ever) and are happy with the terms. There were some challenges in the sales process and when I spoke with the sales manager, John, he listened to me, looked into the issue, responded promptly, and went above and beyond. Another salesperson, Kevin, also helped us out and owns a Solterra so that was great too. Check out this dealership for fairness, great vehicles, and responsive staff. They are a rare find these days.

This is my second Subaru from this dealership, and once again, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Everyone I encountered—from Frany in the service department (I hope I got her name right!) to my amazing sales rep, Mathias Curbelo, and Angel in Finance—left such a lasting impression. They were all so genuine and welcoming, making the entire process smooth, exciting, and completely pressure-free. I've never had such an easy car purchasing experience. Reggie was awesome and didnt pressure me. I told them I was not willing to go over $400 for my monthly. I told them "not $401, not $404... $400." They came back with the exact offer for my trade as KBB said was fair, no haggling. And the first finance sheet they showed me for $400 on the dot. I'd absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a Suburu.
