Jeff's almost killed me today. I'm still reeling. Want the tea? Read on. I went in for a SMOG and their roller door broke to the smog bay as I was there. Not their fault, an accident, and no one was hurt. I rescheduled for the next week. Next week comes and they tell me they can't smog my car and I have to go to a star station. Very inconvenient and annoying, but again, they can't help here so nothing doing and I was on my way with a thank you to the bearded mechanic. As I'm driving DIRECTLY from Jeff's to a place in SLO that can help me, on the descent of the cuesta grade, my hood rattles precariously. I have about one second to go, "Oh, sh--" before the hood pops up and blocks my whole windshield. On the grade. Full sending it down hill. During rush hour. I swerve into the truck lane and careen into the non-existent shoulder, with semis swerving around me, deafening me with their horns. The cliffside and it's sheer drop are a foot to the right of my tires. I have to dart into traffic to slam my hood down and zip back into the car, panicked and shocked I'm alive. When I was removed from danger and eventually made it to the auto shop that could help me, I calmed down and called Jeff's. The nice girl on the phone took my tearful message to the redheaded, bearded gentleman mechanic who had popped that hood at Jeffs: You nearly killed me. For obvious reasons, I will never return. What a colossal screw-up.

Their awesome, highly recommend them. They fixed what I took it in for, they didn't try to sell me on fixing anything else. Above all honest, respectful and took the time to answer my questions. this place is a gem. The owners and staff are knowledgeable and fair. Every other place quoted me $6k to $8k on a project due to the labor but Jeff’s did it for half of that. I always try to go to small businesses when they are family owned for this reason because they do not have a bunch of overhead and outlandish costs to push onto the consumer.

My Focus was running horribly. Garrett let me know the issue and I did a diy fix. Car runs great. For the price of a diagnosis they saved me $$$$ without pushing me to have them do the repair. They will have my business forever which will makes them more $$$$ in the long run. Win-win for everybody. Thank you to a great shop and crew.

I went in for smog diagnostic, they test drove the vehicle and claimed my radiator needed to be replaced along with many other repairs including fuel injection system repairs that tested fine according to the same document. The quote was over 5000 dollars. I took it elsewhere and had a 250 dollar repair. The mechanics at the other shop said pretty much all of the quote from jeffs was wrong.

Took our car in for service and smog. They told me that the check engine light was on and I needed to have that fixed in order to pass smog. The check engine light had been intermittent for years and I one could figure out the issue…..but Jeff’s did. They were able to do a diagnosis of the issue and made the repair fast. The work was done and done well! Thanks Jeff’s!

Jeff's Auto Works is great! I had smashed the right rear quarter panel and tail light. They fixed it for a reasonable price, and it looks better than before I wrecked it. Thank you, Jeff! Update: Since Jeff did such a great job on the right rear quarter panel and tail light, I asked him to repair my trunk, which was also dented. The second photo is the results of the second repair. I appreciate that I am going to get many more miles out of my OLD Honda Accord, and it looks great.

This shop is truly special! Bring your business here! An honest and compassionate mechanic?? Who knew! My car broke down on the 101 north of Paso Robles, by the time we were picked up by a tow truck, it was 4:30 and all the shops in the area close at 5. I was passing thru driving to LA and had nowhere to stay. My truck needed a spark plug thread repair, a job I hoped could be done quickly. From the cab of a tow truck, I called 14 mechanic in the Paso Robles and Atascadero area. Understandably, no shop was willing to stay open to help me out with a small, last minute job. Miraculously Jeff’s was willing to stay open past their closing to help us get back on the road. I am so grateful for their compassion. We arrived at Jeffs exactly at 5pm when they close. The attitude in the office was notable: The people who work here are happy! They were joking with another customer and laughing together. They pushed my car into a bay and got straight to working on it. I was back on the road in 30 minutes. The price was extremely fair and the repair solid. We made It back to LA without a problem, thank you Jeff’s! I’ve been to a lot of mechanics and this place made a big impression on me. Good work is done by people who are treated well. This shop gives off a feeling that they take care of their people, those who work for them, and their customers. I hope this review convinces you to take your car to Jeff’s! I wish I lived in Atascadero so I could bring my truck to them for all my needs.

Over the years I've come to depend on the honesty, integrity and expertise of the professionals at Jeff's Automotive. I know I will get what I need without delays or surprises. For my money, I always choose Jeff and his excellent staff to take care of my 19 year old Lexus. They keep me rolling at 208k miles.

Jeff's Auto was great. They were super helpful, friendly and professional. They fixed my issue quickly and keep me updated throughout the process. They did a very thorough job. I will definitely use Jeff's Auto Works again.

My mechanic search is over! These professionals were able to knock out the trailer wiring on my sister's journey, while being communicative and personal. They made me feel like my lil job mattered, worked quickly, and followed through. I'm definitely coming back.

Repair seems competent but the labor rate is super high ($150 per hour) also charged 1 hour of spark plug labor while also being charged 1.5 hours for valve cover (4 cylinde engine - single cover). The spark plugs are literally RIGHT THERE when you do the valve cover, you have to remove the coils to do the covers anyway. That should not have been charged or should have been a maximum of 30 min. Instead they did not check their work and lazily (or on purpose) added more labor than required. This is what happens when somebody who is not knowledgeable (my wife) approves the work and picks up the car. We won't be taking our car there again.

The guys at Jeff's Auto Works are great. Steve is our mechanic there and he is so knowledgeable about cars and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure our cars are fixed correctly and stay safe of the road.

This is the first time I had brought two cars into Jeff's Auto Works on the same day, on a Friday, and when it got towards the end of the day I thought there might be issues. No problem at all, the boys said take your time , and I did... 2 oil changes completed and I'm a happy camper.

All the coolant leaked out of my car and i was expecting the worst but it just needed a small part replaced and new coolant added. Super quick service, less than 2 hours from when the tow truck picked it up until it was done. Great experience.

Jeff is awesome!!!! Gets your vehicle done quick and most importantly right!!! And his shop pretty much does it all...from mechanical work to tires, alignment, even smogs!!!!! I highly recommend Jeff's Auto!!!!!! UPDATE...This post was written before my Jeep was really looked at when we got it back. Springs were bulging out, every bump sent you flying into next lane, paid for 2" lift and got springs and shocks...that's it. Tires were GREAT!!! No complaints there. Got to Idaho last year right after he "fixed" it and had to have the entire front end REDONE because what his shop did made it not road worthy. Said control arms and steering box were new. NOPE...original control arms came out of my Jeep when they fixed it in Idaho. Steering box hadn't been touched. Spent about $7000 there expecting $7000 worth of honest work. DID NOT HAPPEN!!!! As a side note...I personally think it was whoever was working with Jeff at the time and not Jeff himself that was ripping people off. I just hope he finally realized he and his customers were getting ripped off and canned the guy!!!!!

Jeff's shop was great. His staff was friendly and the service was prompt. I went in for a smog and was out of there in 20 minutes.

As far as i can tell, they provided good honest service. Was told 3 times, "tomorrow". It put on some pressure because this car was my only transportation however, I would have preferred to assume, and be told, it was going to take 3 days and then be happily surprised if it was done early. I will be going back to them For break and suspension work in the near future.

Very professional. As a maintenance crafts person myself, the racecar and recall information in the lobby really showed their passion. Their Covid-19 response was good too. I came in wearing a mask, which caused a 6 foot distance difficult. The entire crew there made sure to don the PPE to ensure everyone was comfortable.

This is one of those places you are so happy to have found. Jeff’s came highly recommended to me by a friend of mine, and he has earned all my auto repair business from here on out. The staff has always been friendly and courteous. The jobs get done in a timely manner. And most importantly, they work hard to earn your trust. My first visit entailed a fairly major repair to my Honda (major to me, probably fairly routine to a mechanic). It could have cost me thousands of dollars to fix at a dealership (which I know because it got towed to a dealership when it broke down, and they were able to give me their best estimate). When I contacted Jeff, he mentioned that I had a few options, which would potentially save me a lot of money. I went with his advice, and allowed him to fix it in a different way. He called a few days later with the good news that it was fixed and ready to go. And not only that, it didn’t take as long as expected, and so it came in a little cheaper than quoted. In all, it saved me close to $1500. We’ve started bringing all our vehicles here now, and have had several small services done. We’ve always been satisfied with their exceptional service. I won’t go anywhere else.

If you have a hot rod this is the place to go for repairs. I took my 29 Ford to the shop for engine repairs. The repairs turned out to be more than I expected. When a problem was identified I was contacted and given the options on how to repair it. I am glad that Jeff identified the problems. My car was well cared for. Excellent repairs. Reasonable fees. My car now runs like a hot rod should. "FAST". Thanks to Jeff and Shannon.

Jeff is one of the few trustworthy shops in the area, He has been very helpful and done work on many of my cars. I give him very high marks for working though complex issues

I've spent a lot of time at smog stations just waiting for them to get to my car. Jeff's was different. I had an appointment and drove into the smog bay. They were on the car while I filled out paperwork. By the time I sat down with a current issue of Hot Rod with Jennifer De La Rosa on the cover and read the article about the fastest street car. They were done! Great service! Thanks Jeff!
