The staff at APS Automotive are all great and very pleasant to deal with. Fred has been working on my car and I am more than happy with all he has done. My car is currently in the shop getting a new carburetor and full brake service. My car is a 1948 Plymouth and the original owner left it to his son who I bought it from. The Dad had added front disk brakes and unfortunately the son has no idea what make or year front end it has. I'm sure that Fred had no idea he would have to play detective when he got into the car repair profession. Thanks Fred

Extremely frustrating experience. Initially, we were told it would take a day to replace the part, but then they admitted they had to order it, which was annoying but understandable. The real problem was their lack of communication. They estimated it would arrive by Wednesday, but when Friday came, we hadn't heard anything, so we had to call them. They had to send the part back for programming, adding another week to the wait. The part was supposed to arrive on Monday, and they were supposed to call us, but they didn't. So, we called them, and they said it would be there by Tuesday. Again, they didn't call as promised, and when we reached out, they postponed it to Wednesday. On Wednesday, we called around 3:00 PM, and they said the part had arrived and was being installed. I took of work early, we rushed over, but by 5:10 PM, they told us it wasn't finished and needed two more hours of reprogramming. They were closing at 5:30 PM, so we had to come back the next day. So after taking off early, driving an hour down there, because we were told it would be done, they turned us away. This entire ordeal meant taking Thursday morning off work and driving down once more because of their disorganization. I would strongly advise against anyone using their services; it was an absolutely horrible experience.

Took our car to APS to get inspected prior to selling it. They got us in right away, we’re efficient and knowledgeable. They even talked to the buyer over the phone to review their findings. I was so impressed that I came back a few days later to get the car smogged. They got me in right away for a quick service. Bonus: they were less expensive than others in town. Will definitely be going back for future automotive needs!

Robert Davis and Jessie are the best of the best. As a woman I especially appreciate the honest feedback and professional advice I receive from them when bringing in my vehicle. You know you can trust your mechanic when they actually tell you that you don't need a service that you thought you needed. They have provided regular maintenance and reliable repair services for my family for years. They have also inspected new vehicle purchases for us which greatly reduces the stress of the entire process. I have found that to be invaluable. They are and will always be my go to for all of our vehicle needs. Highly recommended.

Can’t say enough about how fantastic Jesse and his team are. He got me in quick and diagnosed my Jeeps check engine light right away after it being misdiagnosed previously somewhere else. They also fixed my air conditioning, which was also presumably misdiagnosed as it was wayyyyy more expensive at another different shop! Their prices are affordable + they’re knowledgeable, timely, and clean! Very happy with APS.

Jesse took amazing care of us as we were just about to move across the country. I needed two vehicles looked over to ensure their safety, and he was able to get us in right away based on our time constraints and charged us so little to take care of it all. He and APS were really generous with their time and energies, and they were honest from start to finish. Thanks!

My 1999 2500 Suburban's A/C began to slowly stop cooling air. Given it's age and the fact that I'd not done one thing to the system in all the years I've owned to car since new, I feared the worse. I took it to the guys at APS who explained exactly what they'd do to diagnosis the problem and give me a full report. A day later they called and said it was all ready to go, just needed to have the system recharged with new freon. I've been driving the car for nearly 6 months since and have no issues with the A/C. Because I know next to nothing about A/C systems I could easily have been lead down a path that ended with me replacing the whole thing but the folks at this repair shop are straight shooters. I appreciated their directness and clear understanding of the problem and how to fix it. Needless to say they have a new long term customer.

We had a check engine light come on in my daughter's Nissan Versa Note. The car stalled a couple times and while searching for a reputable shop to diagnose the problem it was then when I came across APS Automotive. I first called and spoke with Michael, super nice guy and very knowledgable. He said they were very busy, but as I explained that we had the issue while traveling from Socal to the Bay Area, he was able to squeeze us in to check the car. Best auto repair place I've found on the central coast and I've tried many places from Grover to Paso. Friendly and fast service. The staff is an excellent and honest. They always lets you know if there is a less expensive option.

While on my way to Santa Maria from Santa Cruz my car needed immediate attention. Robert was kind enough to take my car in for a last minute service 15 min before his closing time. He gave me a play by play of the testing he was doing, explained what the problem was and presented me with options. Although he was continuously busy with calls and drop ins, all of whom he was equally awesome with, it was not long before I was on the road again. APS is a place I wish was in my vicinity, lucky you Atascadero!

I brought a class b camper in to have a “pre-purchase inspection” done. Robert went above and beyond, both times we spoke on the phone he was very helpful, friendly and professional. Upon bringing the camper in he was busy but fit us in and looked at EVERYTHING. Not just the mechanics. Not only did he do a full inspection he sent us on our way with a can of starter fluid and some extra tape just in case. If we were local to Atascadero, he would 100% be our mechanic. I cannot recommend him enough. The service was only $55 I suggested he raise the price, he said he wants to keep it reasonable to encourage people to have inspections done prior to the purchase. I would have gladly paid $250 for this high quality service. Look no further, bring your vehicle to APS.

I am extremely happy with folks here at APS. Customer Service, Resources and Experience are all things that I confidently rate 5/5 stars. Right off the bat I can tell that these folks work well together and that means a lot when you’re trusting a team with your car. Situation: My 1998 Corvette had high oil pressure reading that was too high for me to be comfortable with driving all the way back to the Bay Area. Customer Service: The gentleman behind the desk greeted me when I arrived, the technician stopped what he was doing to take a quick look at my corvette and gave me some surface observations for what the cause could be. Robert heard my situation. He acknowledged that I was mid travel from the central coast to the Bay Area. He knew that I was willing to leave the car and come from the bay area to pick it up later in the week but he was willing to get the part I needed and get it installed by the end of the day so that I wouldn’t have to make two big round trips. Resources: APS has multiple lifts and get my car in the air to see if I had any leaks or damage. Robert took the time to investigate the probable cause of high oil pressure and provided me an explanation and the expectations for the repair. I was extremely pleased with their experience and resources. I was able to confidently hit the road before 3 PM and made it home safe and sound. I recommend APS automotive to anyone that is looking for a knowledgeable team. Robert thank you very much for the attention to detail, Customer Service and Time.

We’re traveling from Fresno area to Pismo and our window went off the track. This was the third shop we tried so by time we got there we were hot and frustrated. They took care of it as quickly as possible to ensure we would make it to our hotel in time. We had our daughter and my sister in law with us and the guy gave us all ice cream while we waited. Behind thankful for them today! Would 10/10 recommend

APS is too notch. We all know that it’s hard to find a competent, honest mechanic. The folks at APS are exceptional: competent and honest...competitive prices... and the service time is exceptional. We have trusted them with major work (transmission replacement, adaptive fuel management system overhaul) and routine stuff (oil, service, shocks). We don’t let anyone else work on our cars at this point. Give APS a try if you’re in the market for quality and trustworthy mechanics. You won’t be disappointed.

Nothing but good things to say about these guys. They are straightforward and honest. Had some car issues and bought it in. They got me in right away even though they were busy and got it fixed relatively quickly. I was, to say the least, impressed. Definitely would recommend them.

The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable, not to mention quick . I came in for a smog check and he took my car in immediately and was done in less than 5 mins. Their lounge was clean with very comfortable couches and there's a big flat-screen to watch TV on. Very Military friendly, can't recommend this place enough.

Robert and Scott are seriously the best mechanics I've ever met. I took in a used car I just acquired that needed numerous repairs, and they were more than fair in in work they did. They were honest and straightforward about what was necessary to be done, and did a number of minor fixes free of charge. I was strapped for cash and in the midst of making a move when my car broke down, and they went out of their way to hook me up and get me on my way. These guys are truly honest in their work and very accommodating. Don't go anywhere else to get your vehicle needs taken care of!

So Far so good. I have used these guys several time and the work was completed in a timely manner. The understand my vans are for work and get to the job quickly. Robert and the gang keep a clean shop and have a friendly professional attitude. :)

APS Automotive is THE BEST auto repair place I have ever been. The attention and customer service is outstanding. No one treats you like Robert does. He explains in a very detailed way the issues with the vehicle and how each part in the car functions and the reason for the repair. They have the most reasonable prices. I've brought 2 different vehicles to APS and I've been extremely happy with their excellent and personalized service, and always willing to give me a ride home or pick me up at work when the 2 cars have been ready. I have found my one and only auto repair place!

I have had several automobiles repaired by Robert and his super fine crew, and have never had any problems with their repairs . The price and time Robert quotes is honest and fair, and if he tells you something about your car, you can be sure it is true. If he doesn't have to replace a part and quotes you one, you won't be charged., super honest and great family guy. did I mention that he is usually quick with the repairs and on time!?
