Took 3 weeks after I signed up with them them for my trash bin to be delivered. I was billed for those 3 weeks even though no actual services had been given. I haven't received another bill in 2 months and haven't been able to get anyone on the phone for that entire time. Would not recommend

We are made to pay our bill on time but we do not receive the services that is paid for on the dates set in the contract. Our neighborhood is scheduled for Tuesday morning pickup now it can be 2 or more days later before the trash is picked up in the neighborhood. It is causing sanitation concerns, cans are overflowed, debris blowing out the cans because the lids no longer able to close ,and the smell is turning the neighborhood into a landfill. It is disgusting. I tried to call and was on hold 30 minutes and never answered. The worst company ever

For a month I've been trying to get trash service. According to my call logs, I have over 6 and half hours of phone calls logged with this company and they still haven't picked up the trash once. My trash can continues to sit out on the street, hot full, smelly, and jealous of the other cans they manage to empty. How this possible?! It's scheduling trash pickup. It's not complicated! They've had no issue taking my payment though. What's the matter with you? Update: After another agonizing 1 hour wait on hold, now totaling 7.5 hours on the phone in a month, I got rid of County Waste and called Choice. Total of 5 minutes on the phone and I was set up!

**UPDATE: reached out several times online about missed cans, false promises to pick up next day, multiple calls/ online portal messages for nothing. Why offer 2 cans if your drivers can not count? Switching to Wise Choice after 7 years due to lack of customer service/ paid services not rendered by your company. Not impressed. 2 weeks in a row my cans have been put back in the street instead of the curb. They were left far enough in the street that someone came to my door to complain as my home is located at the entrance to a neighborhood. I called and was placed on hold for 9 minutes to reach dispatchers. The recording continued to say please hold you are caller number one in the que over and over and over. Frustrated with my call experience. Dispatcher has minimal personality.

Called and left voicemails for 3 months without any response, finally received a response to an email to cancel my services, but they wouldn’t refund for the last few months that I hadn’t been using them, even though it was their fault I couldn’t get in touch with them. Didn’t get any kind of correspondence that they were bought out, they were consistently late for days on trash pickup without any kind of notification. They also came onto my property to pickup their trash bin after I canceled. My neighbor still uses them and the trucks leave their bins in the middle of the road, they can’t even put them back safely on the side of the road.

I have recently sold my house and I keep trying to call to cancel my service and I'm on hold over 30 minutes each time and still no answer. I've even reached out via email and still have not gotten a response. This is unacceptable to have a trash business that a customer can't get in touch with someone. I even tried using the "new" customer line and still noone answers, no wonder you can't get new customers and other companies are moving in taking your business. Must be nice to take people's money but not actually deal with servicing customers.

Trash day was on Wednesday. They started randomly picking on up on Thursdays for six months straight without notifying me a changed happened. I tried to call could never get through. One Random day they came on a Wednesday and my cans were not on the street. I called and waited over 30 min to speak with someone and asked if they can come back to pick my cans up due to the sudden change from a Thursday pickup back to a random Wednesday and they declined. Escalated to CSR lead, she was very nasty and said we don't have enough people so we can't and you should of had your trash cans on the street on Tuesday. So basically they will come when they want and don't notify you and no accountability for that but pushes back on me the customer for not being prepared for a random Wednesday pickup which was (my normal day) after six months of them picking up on Thursdays. I'm so over them I cant even believe I wasted my time writing this review. This is how exhausting they are. Switched to choice, they matched my rate, two FULL SIZE cans not a can and a half, customer service was nice and quickly answered after 30 seconds and from what I seen, my neighbors who have choice always have their cans picked up on time and at the same time daily. Looking forward to better service with Choice!

I have been a County Waste Customer since they bought Donnie's. I pay my bill on time and never complain. However, during a recent trash pick-up, I saw the driver come by, pick-up my neighbor's trash, back-up, then pick-up my neighbor across the street's trash, and then continuing on their route. I quickly got on the phone to County Waste to try and catch the driver before they left my neighborhood. After being on hold for 45-minutes!!!! The customer service representative got on the phone, told me that they had not been to my neighborhood; I didn't see their driver; and when i confronted that "I did see them" the statement was maybe they just left to go to the landfill (how did they leave if they were never in my neighborhood??). The customer service represenative and her manager both said just call Monday if they don't show back up. I don't blame the driver as it was probably a substitute, but I do blame poor customer service on making false statements and accusing the customer of the same.

Similar to other reviews, we have been a customer since we moved to Chesterfield County. We did not have any complaints before and understood the shortage and irregular schedule during the heights of the initial Covid-19 strain. We had been calling them every week ask yard bags were not removed and recycling not taken (3 weeks back-to-back). Each call was a 30 minute wait time and met with some excuse: 1) their yard bag truck was not in service (when they have always taken out trash and yard waste out at the same time in the same truck); 2) the driver indicated that the recycling can was not out at the time of pick-up (when the can was out a day in advance and the entire neighborhood still had their bins full). They have not been on a consistent schedule despite their website noting that they were operating normally. We are now cancelling our services with them. We are anticipating this to be just as troublesome as trying to get in contact/service provided from them as they could not even provide the exact date that they would pick up the cans from us.

I would give them less than one star if I could. Cancelled my service in September and it's late December and I am still waiting on them to pick up the carts. Have called many, many times and am always told they will get them the next week but they don't. Recently received a $45 charge for not returning their carts. What a joke. Save you time and money and call Choice Waste instead.

I’ve been a County Waste customer since they arrived in Chesterfield County. Unfortunately, the services they promised me - including 5 bags of yard waste pick up per week have not been received in 3 weeks. Customer Service is non-existent. Wait times to reach an agent are typically in excess of 30 minutes per call. I sent 6 emails to the Customer Support Team with no reply. Agents are misinformed & not synced up regarding their currently policies & current trash removal schedule. Lastly, my yard waste has been sitting in front of my home for 3 weeks with continued promises that the special yard waste truck would be here by end of day. 21 days later the leaves are still here & I have severed my relationship with County Waste. Their competitor, Choice, has responsive phone times (less than 2 minutes) & clearly informed agents that give you accurate responses. Beware of County Waste/GFL.

Worse customer service ever. When are you going to come pick my trash up? You take my money every month but refuse to come perform your service. I call and every time I'm put on hold for 30 minutes, just to talk to a person. Then put on hold again while they gps track the truck. Just to tell me that your driver didn't come down my street? I told you that when you first answered my call and said " can I help you?" Did I really have to spend an hour on hold for you to tell me what I told you at the beginning of the call? If your driver doesn't pick up my trash on the next trash day, I'll drop it off at your office myself and send you the bill.

30-45 call wait times, late service, delay responses, and the ladies in the office are perfectly okay with that, AMAZING! I cancelled my service a month ago and was told the receptacle would be picked up in a week. 4 weeks later, still here….tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow! They could care less!

Difficult to get a live person on the phone. Waited an hour and no one picked up?. I canceled my services and no one has come to pick up my trash cans and the trash is still there from 3 weeks ago accompanied by maggots and flies. Everytime I call, I'm giving a new date to remove the cans...guess I will have to take the cans to a landfill...totally disgusted with the company...don't waste your time or money...RUN Fast!!!

Regular trash pickup on Monday the 20th of August was missed. Calls, emails and PM's on Tuesday were not responded to. Here it is midday Wednesday, still no pickup and NO response. I have changed providers, Choice starts next Tuesday. I notified County Waste of termination by replying to the billing email I get each month. Since customer service does not answer or respond, I felt this was my only choice.

I have called on so many time I know the number by heart. Phone has only been answered 1 time to get service set up. They didn’t hesitate to take my two months of payment. I have not received my cans yet after one phone call and 2 online quotes. If I had a choice they would not be it.

They do not show up when scheduled!! They leave voice-mail with no explanation as to why they take out the FULL amount for trash service NOT being done. They have not shown up for over a week. No one answers when you call the business. No one offers an explanation: Do all the workers have covid? Did everyone quit? Is this problem...whatever it is....being remedied? What is going on???? Whoever runs this company should be ASHAMED and EMBARASSED for providing such POOR customer service. You are taking peoples money but not honoring your end!! Dishonest, unreliable, unprofessional and unacceptable!! Currently looking for a new trash service in Prince George, Va!!!!

This Company is the most horrible company to deal with. We have called and called, no one answers the phone. Where are the customer service agents? We have been on the phone for 35 minutes this time and longer on other times holding and no one answers. We have trash cans full waiting to be picked up. So does our neighbors and many others down the main road waiting to be picked up. This is the day you designated to be pick up day. When they do pick up they leave trash everywhere. We have had to pick it up ourselves to clean the area. We have made the trash dumpsters easy to access putting them in an area the truck can turn around. If we cannot reach anyone we possibly could be looking elsewhere for trash pickup. I was a Customer Service Agent, I would have been dismissed for not answering the phones. I worked in a very busy office as well.

Twice the cost of when I lived in Henrico and the county did trash pick up l. Moved to Chesterfield last fall and we were forced to pay for a private company. The first few months we lived here their trucks were in front of our house at 5am and woke everyone up with all the noise. I guess folks complained because they started coming later….. but now almost every week they’re a day late. We get automated voicemails weekly about “unexpected delays” and they will “return the following day”. This is the 4th week in a row getting that message. Other similar companies are just as poorly reviewed so who knows if it’s worth it to switch….

Was with them for over 10 years. Service fees have only gone up year after year. We never had to worry about them sending the bill to us monthly but we changed services 3 weeks ago and they have not yet come to collect their bins. They schedule a pick up day then never show. After calling to confirm cancellation with them they make us aware they “price match” and wish that we would have given them the opportunity before we signed with another company. Some would figure that after 10 years with 0 missed payments and 0 months of interrupted service they would notify us of a price drop. Would highly recommend picking a different company other than County Waste.

I have been subscribed to their service for over 4 years and I have watched their prices rise as their customer service declined. The drivers beat the garbage bins to pieces during pick-up, they are inconsistent in their pick-up and don't actively communicate delays. Instead they expect the customer to run to the website every week for every announcement instead of sending courtesy email announcements to paying customers. On top of this, the call queue is always severely backed up, my last call I was number 48 in the queue, the call where I finally decided to cancel my subscription, I was number 64 in the queue. Their voice message says you can go to their website for a chat-feature but then there is none on their website. This company is simply unacceptable as they cannot handle the volume they have. Avoid them and choose a more reputable company.

Terrible service from the garbage men (who selectively gets the trash if they feel like it) to the customer service representatives (who make up any excuse for the trash men’s laziness). It’s currently going on 3 days and excuse after excuse for why the trash men has not picked up our trash- most recent excuse “they became busy and will get to it when they can”. After being informed by management they would get the trash yesterday- never happened. We have cancelled services and went with Choice who has better service, reviews and prices.

I have used these guys since they bought Ducks Disposal. They have missed our route at least 6 times over the last year. We then have to call them and remind them to come back which they do the next day usually. ONE DAY I forgot to put the cans out and call them to come pick them up. Did they come back? NO, of course not. They say they can't stop back by until the following week! Completely unprofessional. They literally let me cancel the account rather than come back to pick up our two cans of trash. These people are as LAZY AS THEY COME!

The driver destroyed my trashcan by ripping the wheels off and running them over. It was an accident. They are usually reliable but trying to get a replacement trash can is not. Do better County Waste. They promise a prompt replacement, but they are either lying or the people doing that service are incompetent. Currently I am stuck with them by neighborhood contract. Next time the contract is up for renewal, guess what I will do?

Called to speak with manager again...Phone calls not returned. Poor reviews are the only way to get these people to reach out. They start trash pick up at 5 am .Yes 5 am .. Think about that before you sign up for their service. Do you know the amount of noise a 10 ton dump truck makes on a quiet street at 5 am...I am almost certain trash pick up doesn't start at 5 am on the street the mayor lives on. Also this company is owned by a Canadian group(GFL) whom I have reached out to and waiting to hear back from. Would not recommend this service, there are 2 other competitors in the area with negotiable rates.

Unprofessional office staff who do not keep their word when the claim to make appointments for trash pick-up. Ended service and over 2 weeks later the cans are still in the street uncollected. Multiple attempts to get them picked up and unable to speak with management/leadership. NOT good or hygienic!! Drivers are good so I will leave them out of the poor office dynamics...

Pickup is very unreliable. We constantly always have to call almost every week to ask why it wasn't picked up. They say they don't see the trash can, but it's been sitting in the same spot by the road and they never had trouble picking it up before. One time we went almost 3 weeks without them picking anything up and they wouldn't refund us anything when we asked. Called again today to see why it wasn't picked up and had lindsey answer and cut us off and that she couldn't help us, very unprofessional for working in customer service.

Worst service ever. Today my trash did not get picked up . I called and the lady said you owe 80 dollars. How ???? I got auto pay for years. The lady said when you called in october last year to make a payment we must took auto pay off . What???? No bill no call nothing my new debit card I gave them in October was not even saved in there system. Not a I am sorry it was our mistake nothing. My trash full and I got no more room for my trash for the next 7 days. I will call around for a different company and then I will cancel this company that has no customer service. And maybe the lady that picked up the phone should take a class on customer service .

Awful company. Has no policy for how long you can go without paying your bill or missing them then told me the policy is based on the number or calls they make. The account was once about $100 behind before they called me (I forgot I switched to getting the bill in my email) then a few months down the road I missed one payment dealing with the death of a family member and they took my trash can with NO voicemail no warning no nothing. Here I was thinking the policy was much longer so I disputed having to pay $50 to get the bin returned because they picked it up without warning. The very rude employee said "what do you think happens when you dont pay your bills?" Well ma'am every other business I've dealt with sends a cut off notice and charges a late fee but doesn't charge $50 for a can they took without notice. After the lady spoke to me so rudely I asked if I could speak to a manager, her real response was the managers were too busy. I asked if someone could call me back or email me and she said yeah whatever and hung up without asking for any info. Y'all can kiss my butt and send it to collections 'cause nobody ever called back! So rude!! Waste management is very professional and allow a $500 credit line!! They handle their company way more professionally with no width washy policies. The gentleman on the phone was so nice. Don't bother with these rude self serving people at County Waste who think their customers don't have anywhere else to go!! You have options other than these demon spawn leeches.

I have only had this trash co. for 3 weeks and already I experienced the worst service!! I live in an HOA and we aren't allowed curb pickup, they come and pick up the trash at the back door and all of a sudden yesterday they refuse. I was told I'd have to pay $29 to have them come do back door after they have been doing back door pickup for the past three weeks. I moved down the street where I had the exact same service and they picked up back door for $18!! I called three times and had to stay on the phone for 45 minutes each time to explain again the problem! They said they were simply to busy to come back to get the trash after they came the day before and left it. It makes no sense that I'd have to call so many times just to get my trash collected! They are rude, inconsiderate and condescending! DO NOT GET SERVICE WITH THEM! You will regret it!
