Ladysmith Tire & Auto keeps all of my businesses vehicles on the road. Their technicians are knowledgeable and efficient and front staff is friendly. Excellent communication and great delivery on service.

My husband took his truck to Steve today and Steve had the issue diagnosed and fixed in 51 minutes. Thank you for your great care and customer service Steve! Have tried to use their services twice both times turned away today went in had some nail in my tire asked if they could do a quick patch they said the guy was doing a oil change and literally pulling it out of the garage as we're sitting there and he's like now I got to do an oil change it takes 2 seconds to patch a will never use never suggest anybody go theretire

This is a small repair shop. They are very knowledgeable and thorough. They explain whatever is going on with your vehicle and make recommendations. They are always busy but fit me in for a state inspection. I've taken my jeep here before for some work. I certainly would recommend them for service on your automobiles. It's best to make an appointment unless it's something quick like an inspection.

MY FIRST REVIEW I NEVER wright reviews so u know this was a horrible place. PLEASE I REPEAT PLZzz don’t ever take your car here me and my family were stuck here 5hrs because they wanted to charge me $650 for a wheel stud that broke off me and my family didn’t have that type of money at that very moment the want to Run Diagnostics on every car even after I told them it’s just my wheel they still charged me so just know it’s $150 just to walk in and get your car even looked at this experience ruined my entire trip in Virginia I had a little 4 year old there with me and we were going crazy to see how would we come up with that money to pay they are scams plz believe that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s ok for those who’ve been scammed i have Lawyers building this case now.

On our way to Virgina Beach from an hour north of the shop, and our car broke down! They had us up and running in just a few hours. They were kind and had fair pricing. Definitely recommend!

Our RV had to get towed here 2 days into our 4 week trip. The staff at Ladysmith were AMAZING. They were completely transparent at what it would take to get us back on the road and communicate d throughout the process. They worked hard to get us back on the road in 2 days! They def go the extra mile!!

Came across this place when my car got overheated a long side Hwy 95. They got my car fixed that day with no issues. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Can't say I was glad to be there but I'm glad they fixed the problem. I was still able to go to DC. If I lived near the area this will be my place to go for my car needs. Highly recommended. A family member of mine took his car into Ladysmith Tire & Auto get their brakes done on their vehicle. After paying and leaving the parking lot, turns out he had NO brakes. Called and spoke with the mechanic/shop manager and they denied returning the payment, refused to fix it and were extremely rude/disrespectful.

We just had a flat tire and pulled off at the next exit, right away we saw ladysmith tire and pulled in. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They got the tire changed for us quickly. Super nice guys would highly recommend. Thank you so much for the quick tire change and the fair price.

We were four ladies traveling from Florida to Pa. for a funeral the next day. Car broke down, they told us that if we waited, they could have it fixed by 5:00 pm. They were awesome, friendly, and had us on the road by 5:00. They also volunteered to take us to a motel if we had to spend the night if the car was not fixed. They were the best people in the world. Loved them and their service was great!!!!!

Bad service on alignment ever received car came out worst than when I took it in, alignment cause tire to be torn on the inner wall while driving 70 mph on the highway. Court case needs to resolve since their manager refuses to address my concerns for credit on alignment not received correctly.

Had issues with the car while traveling down 95 and pulled off at their exit. They were super accommodating, fixed everything promptly, and all for a very decent price! So thankful we broke down where we did!!

These guys were so great….we were on vacation, traveling south on 95, when our tire pressure light came on. We were fortunate enough to be at this exit. We were helped promptly. Both guys were very nice. They checked and filled our tires….had us drive a bit and then rechecked…and refused payment. We got back on the highway reassured that all was well.

AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. Read the negative reviews. They are accurate reporting's of experiences much like mine. I make it a point to only review businesses that have provided me superior customer service (you can reference my other reviews). In this case, I had no choice but to leave a negative review as I was negatively impacted. I lost time, I lost money, I missed work. PLEASE READ. *Note: I wanted to accurately detail my entire experience but I exceeded the allotted amount of characters for a review. FACTS: - My car was in their hands for 4 days (Mon-Thurs) - My car was misdiagnosed (they said there was no oil leak). An oil leak was found at 2 other shops (Express Oil and Midas) - My brake pads, rotors, calipers were diagnosed as needing to be replaced without ever taking the wheels off (they could not locate my wheel lock key. READ BELOW) - My car was not worked on until Wednesday (I called the shop Monday and Tuesday regarding updates after receiving no communication from them) - 9:15 AM Wednesday morning I receive a diagnosis and estimate repair and give the ok to begin labor. - 2:40 PM Wednesday afternoon, I was told my wheel lock key could not be located and they could not get the tires off. I ensured them it was in the glove compartment inside the manual pouch. Reed told me that he would check again, as he had 'picked up the pouch but didn't actually look inside'. After checking again, he said the key was not in there and I would be charged labor hours to cut the wheel locks off. I told him I would come in Thursday morning to look. - Thursday morning I find the wheel lock key inside my glove compartment, in the manual pouch. No work has been done on my car. I am told the mechanic who will be doing the repairs is not in yet and won't be until the afternoon. I have no choice but to pay $155 for the initial diagnosis to take my car out of the shop. - Thursday morning after taking my car from Ladysmith Tire, I take it to Midas in Richmond. They immediately begin work on my car and present a diagnosis within 30 minutes. They walk me to my car to show me the found oil leak, and brakes that need repair. They quoted me $400 less than Ladysmith to fix the brakes and got my car back to me by the afternoon. - Friday morning I call Reed at Ladysmith Tire to address the wheel lock key and a refund after 4 days of no repairs and a misdiagnosis. He tells me that it was impossible that I found the wheel lock key in the glove compartment in the manual pouch. I told him that either he and the mechanics do not know what a wheel lock key looks like, or someone in the shop had lost the wheel lock key and then found it and put it back at some point. I also questioned him on how they could properly diagnose my brake pads, rotors and calipers without taking the wheels off IF they never located the wheel lock key to begin with. After all of this, he refused my refund and also refused to put me in contact with anyone above him. When I requested for him to have the owner call me, he said the owner would never call me and that concluded our conversation. - I am now in the process of handling this with legal support.

The front desk lady was AMAZING. She really made this unplanned trip really helpful. I was scared of the bad reviews (at first) but I had a GREAT experience. Our issue was a failed alternator on a 2005 Toyota Camry. We had an L1 Master Tech working on our car. He literally fixed the car so fast. I was shocked. The part took about 40mins to arrive but he took like 20 mins max to install it. The parts for these things max around $300-250 (as of 2023) for 05 toyota camry. They have a 24mo/24k mile guarantee on their service. Honestly, we had to pay $140 for a diagnosis, but it's understandable because this how they pay for the service guarantee certification. They're a small shop, and I treated this like a convenience fee. These people are straight shooters. All said and done we paid $696 (keep in mind these are 2023 prices and rates) for the work.

Paid 150 for a diagnosis that didn't diagnose what exactly was wrong. Told me they'd charge me almost $450 to "try" something to see if it worked but it may not fix it. To only tell me what also might be wrong they can't fix. So, in essence I feel like they really only took my car in so they could basically make 150/600 off me. They only get a second star because Reid was nice.

I usually prefer to have my husband take any of our vehicles or our teenaged drivers vehicles for any services needed, but this time, I had no choice. I am very pleased with the overall experience at Ladysmith Tire & Auto. Customer service and communication is important to me and they were on point. Job well done! We will definitely be going back when needed and highly recommend if you're in the market for any vehicle repair to check them out. Once the construction is finished in the area, it will be perfect!

Myself and my family were stranded on the side of the interstate for over 2 hours in the dark with no luck at getting our tire changed when a wrecker from the sister company Anytime Towing came to our rescue. They took our vehicle to Ladysmith Tire, who kept it secure overnight and had it ready for us first thing in the morning. They even sent someone to pick us up from our hotel to get the vehicle so we could get on the road. Everyone was so helpful, which cannot be overstated during such a stressful situation. I can’t recommend either of these companies enough! This is what customer service should be

My experience with Ladysmith Tire & Auto was amazing. I was having car troubles and took my car into them to be diagnosed, and throughout the entire process with my car the owner was extremely helpful and honest. They made sure I understood what was going on and patiently explained everything to me. I requested an invoice to be sent over and they got it to me right away. When I went in to pick up my car and pay for the diagnosis, they gave me an extremely fair price and they made sure to inform me of important things I needed to know about my car even not relating to the mechanical side. I was very grateful for their help and transparency and I would definitely recommend taking your car here.

I was stranded, hundreds of miles from my destination, with an alternator and a battery that died on Sunday night before Labor Day. They closed early on Labor Day, but still had the problem diagnosed Monday morning, and I was back on the road the next day. Super friendly, and helped me out when I was in a tough spot. I’d recommend them to anyone. Great service.

My truck overheated on 95 and I limped it off the exit to Loves gas station. Called AAA and they sent me to Ladysmith since I wasn't familiar with the area. They were super helpful, communicated well, got a look at the truck the first day and diagnosed the issue. Got it in for fixing the next day. Test drove it for me to make sure it wouldn't leave me sitting between VA and PA. Made it home with no issues. Would totally recommend their services. Really helpful folks there!

A family trip to Williamsburg and we got a bolt in a tire. I called from one exit south and they explained they could plug, get a new tire if needed but it was not in stock, or put in a permanent patch. I arrive about ten minutes later and the staff was super friendly an honest. They said the technician was on lunch so it would be longer than normal. We were able to go across the street and get lunch at McDonald’s. A short while later we got a call to update what they found, they fixed it and we were on our way in 1 1/2 hours. You could not ask for friendlier or more honest folks. If Ladysmith Tire and Auto were close to my home, I’d use them all the time. Thank you for making a bad situation go smoothly. We got home to NJ without a hitch. Thanks!!

Great, quick service! They were able to get us on the road so quickly after a flat tire on 95. Their front desk support was quick and efficient and Butch took great care of our van! The emergency event became manageable with their quick and professional care.

My family had an alternator fail in one of our vehicles while driving home on vacation. Luckily we were close to this shop when the warning light in the car went off. We were looked at, quoted, and had a new part installed from a nearby store within 2 hours and were right back on the road. Cost was very reasonable with what we needed done. Truly went above and beyond. Extremely impressed.

STAY AWAY! Broke down on 95. Since this is a AAA approved place, I had my car towed there. They got me for $3500! Drive shaft bolts, drive shaft and 2 co2 sensors they said. I took a Lyft to a local hotel. They said they'd call me the next day and never did. I called the next morning and the manager said the car would be done by close that day which it was. They knew that I was from out of state and I asked over the phone if could could use a credit card number that had to be punched in manually. I was assured that was fine only to arrive and be told that they can NOT do that. So there I sat, trying to figure a way to pay for the car for hours. They refused any other payment other than to swipe a card or cash. They close at 4pm on Saturday so I had to pay for and find another hotel for 2 more nights. So now, 4 nights at a hotel, I was finally able to get the money onto a card from RI and get my car back. On Saturday, right before close, the manager was extremely rude and unwilling to help as he stood next to my car and told me I had to leave immediately so he could move my car into the garage and lock it up. I guess he thought I was going to try and steal it lol. Foolish! All of my belongings were in my car and I was a long way from home. After reading others reviews, it seems they make a living off of people breaking down on 95 and that don't live in VA. They know how to scam you. Be ware.

Had a blowout on 95. Recommended to this shop by the AAA driver. Service was quick and courteous. They had a brand new tire on my car and had me on the road. Immediately off of exit 110 in Virginia.
