Ricky's Towing JunkYard in Amarillo (TX)

Yesterday I got stuck in mud off of Tradewind Road I called three other tow companies and all three of them straight told me they can’t come out and help me. I called Ricky’s and they said will let us come out and look and see if we can help Out they helped me they were so nice. They made sure they didn’t damage my car. I didn’t know what I was gonna do out there by myself. I don’t know anybody in Amarillo and they saved me for that. I’ll give them without them. I would’ve been in a situation of trouble.

Patrick Mendoza is a wonderful person. He is great at what he does and he obviously cares about the client. Thanks to him we were able to get our vehicle to a good place to get serviced. Thank you Patrick.

Had to call AAA to get a tire changed due to having a injured shoulder. The technician from Ricky' Towing Service got my tire changed quickly and was very professional. It was a very cold and windy night and they do a great job.

had AAA to come out and jump start my truck....some young guy showed up and almost broke my mass air flow sensor with his jump box. then copped an attitude about jump starting it... poor customer service and attitude of employee. no respect for customer...needs to go back and retrain in customer service. being a disabled vet. it was totally unacceptable......needs retrained too to do roadside rescues.....called and spoke to lady in office and explained. she was very professional in understanding where I was coming from....

Very dissatisfied with your service! Damage to a vehicle and a 329$ tow charge for a 15 min tow? The biggest issue is the professionalism of this company! If you were doing legal business you wouldn't need a bullet proof glass! The little guy needs to be fired. The female working the front needs to be fired! And FYI you don't move a Lexus with a forklift! Oh and one more thing you don't refuse to give your corporate information to a customer requesting it to file a complaint! I found the info and a lawsuit us happening! You all have screwed over the residents of Amarillo long enough!

My car was parked at my apartment complex with a parking pass in the window on the driver’s side. They towed it in the middle of the night. I had to call off work to go get it. I was out a days pay and Uber fee. My apartment manager was annoyed they took a car with a pass. Luckily my apartment manager helped me get my car and get reimbursed for all the trouble they caused.

Parker went above and beyond to help us at 1:00 am. He was dispatched through AAA, the police that helped us and waited with us said it would be 3-4 hours. Parker got there in 30 minutes. We are so thankful for his quick response and kindness. He took us to a hotel we picked and helped us get our bags out of the car. Then dropped our car where we asked and sent us a picture to verify it was there. He was very professional, he made a bad night as good as it could be.

I am disappointed in Rickey’s Towing. My daughter was towed from the 3C apartments in Canyon while picking up a friend whose car was in the shop. She did not have a parking sticker for the complex. While she was inside visiting before running errands, her car was towed. They charged her the maximum allowed by Texas law: $272 for her car size (Maximum they can charge by state law), an impound fee of $22.85 (maximum allowed), and a storage fee of $22.85 (maximum allowed). Just for good measure they also charged my daughter $8.36 for using her debit card to pay the fee. To me that is just bad business. I know they lost a customer in me.

Chris took care of my towing needs with exceptional customer service! Not only was he friendly, he was comforting and made me feel less anxious about my situation. I will forever recommend Ricky's towing because of Chris! Thank you! 😊

My car stalled and died on Bell, called triple AAA and Allen came and helped 15 minutes later. Took me and my car to my chosen destination and he answered my 1 billion nonsensical questions about towing, cars, video games, tech, and other nonsense. Was super chill, I’ve used them I think three times now and have never had any issues. Thanks Allen! 😎

Their driver came to our triple A call and broke our lug nut/wheel stud while putting in our spare. Arnie told us that they would cover the costs of repair, when he came to pay, he went back on his word and said he would not pay for the repair. The owner Ricky would not speak to us or return our calls. They work for triple A who's entire point is to help you get back on the road safely, they literally broke our wheel and refused to help us, my mom was out on vacation and had no money to pay for repair. She will most likely be forced to drive back to California from Texas on an unsafe wheel. My mom also spent the whole day trying to get a mechanic and figure out the issue with Ricky's towing. She's now wasted time and money she dosnt have even though we were told that if we did our part in finding a quote for the repairs that they would be taken care of. If you can help it, deal with anyone other then these people.

I had an amazing experience with this tow trucking company Ricky’s Towing, they were really nice to me and my family they showed up on time, (honestly a lot faster then what I was told over the phone) showed they cared and showed how professional they are towards the customer, and to top that off they guy was able to get me going within 5 minutes or so unreal but amazing highly recommended. If you ever need a tow or anything along those services then call Ricky’s towing and you’ll be satisfied.

Could not give Ricky’s towing enough stars. My car stopped working in Amarillo and I am not from there. My car was picked up and taken back to Dumas in no time. My driver was amazing!!!!

I live in Town Square apparently I was over a line in the pouring down rain, Town Square either needs to paint their lot or place a sign up if we are over a white line we get towed. How horrible! I will get with Mr. Perry Williams about this, he needs to change towing companies, my leasing office said "this was a petty tow" shame on this company! One tire over a white line. I guess the driver needed to meet his quota. But I've reported this to the BBB and I will do nothing but give them horrific reviews.

Toby was wonderful. He was in constant contact with me and was prompt. Toby is very polite, friendly and knows the roads very well. He went out of his way by 90 miles to take me home from VA where my car broke down to MD where i live. And he agreed to take this trip 20 minutes before he was supposed to get off work. We arrived by morning 5am! THANK YOU TOBY!!

I had a flat tire and couldn’t change it myself because I lost the lugnut key. I called about 9 different towing companies and roadside assistance. Finally calling Ricky’s they were able to come help me get the lugnut locks off and fix my tire, and got here within 10 minutes. He was super nice too. Absolutely exceptional customer service.

Always awesome service from the the young lady in office to the drivers. They were fast quick and reliable and the tow truck driver with the purple hair set the bar . He was very helpful so polite and you can tell he truly loves being apart of Ricky’s you guys are amazing and made a scared moment of me being stuck on side of rode in dangerous area feel safe will always use you guys for future services thank you guys for your hard work

I would like to send a big shout out to the guy who towed my car out for the auction the other day he did a great job on my Saturn Sky and they gave me plenty of time to get it fixed enough to get it off their parking lot which I did in a somewhat reasonable amount of time and drove it all the way a sketchy as it was all the way to Fort Worth Texas overall to 820 and Ramey into my neighborhood and made it home safely cruising between 55 and 80 mph it was a little sketchy but I made it home safely so there was no worries I appreciate everything you're doing

I always get good service from Ricky's; I have AAA, and they have always taken my call. My driver tonight was James, and he carefully extracted my son's car from the mud. He made sure I was comfortable with the extraction strategy before he winched it out.

So I thought I had 6 miles to a gas station.. My first time driving a Kia K5, don’t push it like me folks. My car cut off in Vega, tx 10 minutes from a gas station. Thankfully this company came to save me. Tommy was the best, Thank You!

Called them and asked if they had the ability to tow my semi with a loaded trailer, they said yes. When the driver showed up he said he was unable to hook up to my truck due to my cattle guard. Had to call another tow company to come out and tow me. The other toe company said that it was ridiculous that you guys could not tow us with our grill guard. Most of our trucking industry has grill guards on them. If this company cannot tow a truck with a grill guard they need to go out of business. I will never call them again.

They gave me a quote for towing my vehicles and when I get to the yard they ask me to pay another fee in order to give me my vehicles. They over charge me, the manager was extremely rude and hang up in my ears. Terrible service received. Never doing business with them no more.... they do not tell you everything you need to know beforehand...they lowered you in and then increase the price! Bad business.

My tow was passed to Ricky's by AAA. The tow truck arrived ahead of schedule and the driver provided expert, careful and friendly service and got us to our chosen repair shop promptly. Perfect service when you are in a bind. Thank you.

The driver, amazing. Dude gets 5 stars. The rest of the experience, not so much. Got picked up in Claude and dropped off in Childress. This should have been a hour and a half drive. 25 miles outside of Childress, the truck brokedown. The driver immediately called dispatch only for them to drag their feet. They waited another 2 hours to send a new truck and it took 2 hours for said truck to show up. What should had been 1.5 hours ended up taking 6 hours because the rest of the team lacked any urgency to remedy the issue at hand.

Had a flat tire when I went to leave for work this morning. Ricky's Towing came out within 30 minutes of calling them. The Driver James had my tire changed and I was back on the road. James was very kind, he was very professional in every aspect. Wish their more like James around. Would definitely use Rickys Towing again!

Great experience! Zach was the driver. He was pleasant, professional and prompt. I was pulling a GN LQ horse trailer and he hooked up the whole shebang and very smoothly got us to the fix it shop. Made a stressful situation a WHOLE lot less stressful. Highly recommend!

If it wasn’t for this company my family and I may still be on the side of the road. My family and I were traveling from through Texas when our trailer broke down and we became stranded on the side of the road. This company was the only one that we contacted that would come and tow our trailer, including triple A. Not only did this company agree to tow our trailer, they went out of their way to ensure that it was done correctly and safely! The driver was more than professional and did anything and everything he could to help us in our time of need. I am eternally grateful for this company and the driver they sent out to get us!
