Had a blowout on the highway, our Easy Care Roadside Service through GMC contacted Ricky’s Towing. Chris was to our truck, (safely pulling behind the truck, lights blinking on his vehicle, so the tire could safely be changed). Chris was very knowledgeable and efficient knowing where to find all the needed tools as well as securing the injured tire under the truck. He was very respectful and completed in under 30 minutes. Never wanting to have these issues, but if we do, we will request Chris at Ricky’s Towing again!!
Wife's F-150 wouldn't start and, after hours waiting for tow company that the extended warranty "roadside service" was supposed to be sending (but never came) did what we should have in the first place and called AAA. Ricky's had a flatbed there within a 1/2 hour. Chris was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Quickly had it up on the flatbed and to the dealer. Definitely would use them again.

Stranded on I40 in Amarillo TX and OnStar called Ricky’s Towing . They were there so fast and the worker Zack was very respectful and worked hard and fast !! Highly recommend calling them when you need help .
Traveling across USA stopped at Buc-ees in Amarillo. After gassing up, SUV transmission would not go into gear. Called AAA and it sent Ricky’s Towing. Daniel was the tow truck driver. He was awesome. In trying to load the SUV he found that that transmission linkage under the car had come off, he was able to reattach and get the SUV on the truck and get me to the dealership to permanently repair the linkage. I own five vehicles, several have been previously towed, Daniel was by far the best tow operator I have ever dealt with. Professional and pleasant to work with especially during the stressful event of the breakdown. Cannot recommend Daniel and Ricky’s towing enough.
Patrick at Ricky’s Towing is the best. I broke down outside of Amarillo and 1200 miles away from home. I had nobody but the AAA to depend on. They contacted Ricky’s Towing and we were in our way to Gene Messer. Thank you so for making a bad day better.
I definitely would recommend Ricky's towing. Andy went above and beyond to help us. We were stranded for hours with my family and friends. He made sure we were able to get a vehicle rented to be able to pick up my friends stranded 70 miles away before dropping my vehicle off at a mechanic shop. Andy was a lifesaver
On the evening of 7/24/2025, my son got caught up in some flash-flooding at the Ross-Osage and I-40 intersection. Ricky's towing was 'magically' there to save unfortunate people like our son by getting his car out of that mess. The next day (7/25/2025), my son and wife went down to Ricky's tow-yard to see if the car would start, pay our bill, and be on our way. On the evening of 7/25/2025 (less than 24hrs since the car was brought into the yard), my wife pays our bill for towing services rendered on 7/24/2025 and <1day of storage. The total of that bill was $722.65, which included a surcharge since we paid by credit card.
Although I am appreciative of their availability, $722.65 for a 3-mile tow and 24 hours of storage is a bit steep in my humble opinion. Furthermore, the lady working the counter forgot to return my wife's driver's license to her during her visit there earlier in the day to see if the car would start. For $700, it would be nice if the person working there were more attentive to such trivial details even if they were busy "helping" other customers.
Patrick was absolutely the best. I’ve had my car towed before, but quite honestly Patrick provided absolutely the best experience ever. He was polite, kind, and knowledgeable. He made a bad experience much better. Thanks!
My grandson's car broke down I used triple AAA they used Ricky's they got there fast and Driver was great he dropped it off in front of my house he was very professional and very nice
If you have common sense then you don't work at Ricky's Towing. There drivers are inconsiderate, move out of there way, and rude. Do not use this company. And I will let everyone know that yes you can choose any towing company, just don't use Ricky's.
Daniel was super fast and very observant on what he was doing and he was very professional and did a great job. I highly recommend this business and specifically Daniel if u ever need a tow.
Got charged for parking in a fire zone at my own complex. Guy charged me a drop fee when my car was not hooked up and he wouldn't let me move my car before paying the fee. He started attaching everything when I called my landlord to make it look like it was hooked up. Landlord didn't care scummy business tactics. Don't use these people.
AAA sent Ricky's towing to St. Hyacinth's church after my father and I got a flat tire while pulling into the church parking lot. The kid they sent was incredible... He showed up 20 minutes earlier than anticipated and was fast and professional... I wish I were better with names because he deserves a raise!!!

Thank you Ricky’s Towing. We were sitting ducks on 287 shoulder with a ruined tire. Spare was not good. AAA sent your firm to the rescue.
Your employee Cody was our tow driver. He is a professional at getting his flatbed tow truck ready and pulling our vehicle on to it. We were amazed at his knowledge of all the steps to complete for this process and unloading as well.
Inside of his truck was spotless. Cody is amazing along with everyone at Ricky’s Towing and AAA.
Great service and help from both the person that took my call as well as the gentleman that came to help us out of a mess. They were quick and went above and beyond with their service. Very reasonably priced considering it was a weekend and after hours.

We broke down on I-27. Patrick, from Ricky’s Towing came out to help. Patrick was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was very impressed that he was able to tow our vehicle without dragging it despite the vehicle not going into neutral. I would recommend Ricky’s to anybody.
My son and his friends had some vehicle issues, they were stalled on I40 about 15 miles outside of Amarillo. They needed a tow into town to a hotel to at least get the vehicle and themselves off the interstate as it was around midnight or a little later. After the first towing company my insurance sent equipment had failed. I called Ricky's, very courteous on the phone, understood the situation and even my frustration being 900 miles away and trying to get the boys somewhere safe. They sent a driver right away, got them where they needed to be and at a reasonable price. With not being from the area, just passing thru and had a situation, especially in the middle of the night they were great and the reason why we need these kind of services around!! Would recommend again if need be! Thank you!
I've never been too proud to admit when I'm wrong. Yesterday I left a one-star review for Ricky's towing. Granted the review was probably warranted based on the overall experience to that point. However, within 3 hours of leaving that review the owner, Ricky, had me on the phone and with great humility, was apologizing, letting me know that this was not the way they do business, and asking how he could make things right.
Just the fact that the owner of a business is reading his own reviews and is taking the time to track a customer down to talk about a poor experience is already better than 99.9% of the businesses that I have dealt with anywhere. I couldn't be more impressed. That alone warrants me updating this review.
But get this, not only does Ricky offer to pay for my room because I got stuck in Amarillo overnight, but he gets out of bed at 7:00 a.m. on a Sunday to come out to the Walmart where my truck had been towed by another company and was waiting for a new tire. Turns out the rim was bent and wouldn't hold air, so Ricky comes on his own time to the Walmart to get that rim squared away and get me back on the road. And not only does he not charge me a dime, but he's gracious and grateful for the opportunity.
In the 12 hours between when I first talked to Ricky on the phone and when he showed up at Walmart I had the ear of four different Uber drivers and three different guys at the Walmart tire shop, and six of those people knew of Ricky and said they had never heard a negative comment about him or any experience with his business like the one I had.
Sometimes things just go wrong, mistakes are made, whatever. It's how we choose to deal with those situations that makes or breaks a business.
Well, I'll tell you this, I'm a customer of Ricky's towing for life. If anything happens to me again when I'm passing through Amarillo, I'm calling Ricky. If I could leave 10 stars here I would. Talk about turning a bad situation around. Ricky's a master.
This a long-winded edit, but I think it's important when you find somebody who has integrity that you share that with the world. Ricky has integrity. Ricky has won my business back.
And also a shout out to the great guys at the service center at Walmart on Coulter. If this is what people in Amarillo are like then this is one hell of a place to live.
I got arrested and the cops had Ricky towing impound my RV and when I got out they claimed I already picked it up. Seriously I was in jail for around 40 days and they won't tell me who the have it to. I had a $3,000 bedroom set my Carpenter tools probably around $5,000 my mechanicals probably around $3,000 plumbing tools around $2,000 not to mention that I lost all my personal belongings I want to use these thieves

So I thought I had 6 miles to a gas station.. My first time driving a Kia K5, don’t push it like me folks. My car cut off in Vega, tx 10 minutes from a gas station. Thankfully this company came to save me. Tommy was the best, Thank You!
Called them and asked if they had the ability to tow my semi with a loaded trailer, they said yes. When the driver showed up he said he was unable to hook up to my truck due to my cattle guard. Had to call another tow company to come out and tow me. The other toe company said that it was ridiculous that you guys could not tow us with our grill guard. Most of our trucking industry has grill guards on them. If this company cannot tow a truck with a grill guard they need to go out of business. I will never call them again.
