Went in to get some metals and stuff removed from a truck because I thought they took metals the guy just thought I was trying to get someone to clean the truck out and refused it. Would of did it with a wheel barrel myself if that was the issue. Took it to another place and they did it happily and made $2545.00 for the copper and metal off the truck. His co worker looked at him in sbock. When he refused me. I mean that's what you do is scrap stuff right? Joke of a place.
Very rude, very short, different directions from multiple people on where to go to off load. Clean brass was counted as dirty brass, as was the aluminum. Had to offload a truck of aluminum by ourselves with no help from any of the staff. Very disappointing
I used to use this place all the time from 2011-2014 and they were great. Had a friend and I get a contract for 100 tons of scrap from an irrigation company. and almost talked him into using ARC. Took first load down in April of 2023 of mostly pipe and cutting edges and they tared me at 13,300 went home and used the scales at the co-op to tare at 11,700 that 1600 pounds was just enough to be 40 pounds under 2 tons instead of almost 3 I guess we won’t be taking our 100 tons of scrap their now. We’ll take it to Pueblo instead.
The employees helped me reload my scrap containers back on my trailer. The office guys were informative and helpful as well. An overall great experience.
Way better that scrap processing. Way faster.i I did not have to look at all of tha demeaning and ignorant stuff on tha walls like u do at scrap processing
Have dealt with the metal place for years but today6-6-20, they were closed so I accidentally found this place.
When they gave me $380 I thought wow, the price has really went down.
After I left I noticed they marked almost 100 lbs of my number 2 copper to copper brass. Difference of 70 cents per pound.
Called and complained but wouldn’t have done any good other than have a cop witness me saying I won’t be back.
Very blessed to do salvage as a hobby instead of being dependent on it(I have been).
When I make another trip to Amarillo and my usual place under the bridge on grand is closed, I will bring it back home or throw it in the ditch before I go back to this place again.
Ps black dude on forklift was super friendly, old white dude wasn’t.
For being the first time going there they are good with dealing with dealing with people who dont have a clue what to do and best prices for metal all around town
I called them to pick up lots of cast iron in boxes. Buck Buchanan sent a man by the name of Edward. The agreement was to take the metal, pick up the mess and bring me the money. Well they did take the metal and brought some money, but they never picked the mess.. Try and use someone else, these people have no word.. I've called Buck and Edward and all they care about is they got thier metal..
