What clients say about Copart - Amarillo in Amarillo (TX)
I had a great experience at the Copart location in Amarillo. The staff was friendly, professional, and super helpful from start to finish. They made the whole process smooth and stress-free, whether it was picking up a vehicle or just asking questions. The lot was organized and easy to navigate, and everything was handled quickly and efficiently. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be returning probably every week😅. Highly recommend this location if you’re a transport!
Our truck was sent there for insurance purposes of a wreck and came back worse then what it was and they stold Cadillac converter they took muffler off the hood was messed up and who knows what else!!!! for all the people there doing this too report them to BBB and police cause if they do not care about our vehicle and there just worried about their money that they're going to get off of our vehicle ,,than we don't care about them !!!!!we are fixing to report them and get attorney cause we are not gonna get fuc...over ..don't mess with me I'm not the one
This is by far one of the worst locations I've ever dealt with. Copart has unfortunately become very incompetent and notorious for shady auction practices. I've been a Copart buyer for the last 10 years and spend over $150,000 annually so when I purchase a vehicle from any auction and they say that the title is present I typically take that at face value. Auctions are regulated at a federal level, and there is a law that states IF the title isn't present, it must be notated and available within 30-45 days. This particular location said the title was present and upon picking up the car and attempting to pick up said title we were told that they in fact did not have the title and it was in another state 1500 miles away. When I asked the girl who worked the counter to call the yard it was supposedly at she threw so much attitude you would think I asked her to physically walk from Amarillo to Washington to pick it up herself. When she was called on it she became incredibly defensive and said I could call them myself it I didn't like her attitude. Fast forward 2 hours the Washington yard she claimed had the title in fact did not in fact have the title. So now we're playing the waiting game of IF a title will become available
Horrible…. Not only did our vehicle leave due to hail damage it came back with way more damage than it left with. Absolutely insane.. called them and the lady was a rude heifer she didn’t care and could care less!!!!
I purchased a vehicle that was on a hot shot trailer that had a stop at this location, the forklift driver had to load a truck on the trailer next to my vehicle which ended up rolling into mine and damaging the bumper. The GM Chris immediately accepted responsibility on the phone and also told the trucking company that it was Coparts fault. He asked me to get an estimate for the damages when I received the vehicle and that they would take care of it. Roughly 2 weeks later I emailed him the estimate and I received a response that they were not responsible for the damage and that I needed to take it up with the hot shot
Company. The same company who he already told wasn’t their fault and the company that I already paid. So here I am with a damaged vehicle and no leg to stand on. I had high hopes for Chris as he seemed very interested to help up front but when the time came to pay for the damages he was quick to change his story. They are very dishonest to say the least.
I bought a truck at Copart in Dallas. They mailed the title paperwork to Amarillo, stating that they can't mail it to me directly because I have no power of attorney on file. I appreciate that, as the drive is much shorter to Amarillo. I called yesterday, they found the title in the office. I asked if I needed an appointment, they said no appointment needed. I showed up this morning a little after nine A.M. They looked for the file for a long time and were unable to locate it. The young lady helping me stated that she thought her manager had taken it home with him and was not in yet. She called the manager and told him a customer was there waiting for paperwork he had. She then told me he was on his way, and that he only lived about 10 minutes away. 30 minutes later he still wasn't there. I then asked if I could just sign a power of attorney so they could do the paperwork and send it to me, as I was missing work to handle this. After asking around she said not to worry about it, they would just mail it. As I was leaving the parking area I saw a man carrying a file into the office. This is now after 10 A.M. And in his other arm was 3 boxes of donuts! 2 hours after opening time, knowing a customer is waiting for paperwork, he stops for donuts! I was there for over 40 minutes doing what should have taken 5. I am shocked how rude some people can be.
Best copart I've ever been to as a transport. Super friendly and helpful staff. Quick and easy loading. And a clean bullpen that won't kill your tires. Awesome job guys!!! More copart facilities need to follow your lead.
Usually when I use coparts the service is pretty decent. Today I was given such ugly service by the young lady at the desk I wish I could refund the car.. She was very rude. Spoke down to me with an attitude... But chastised me about how I spoke to her in return.. They didnt wear name tags the reciept says Baperry.. She was very unprofessional. I will not be returning here for business.
First time buying here. This is unbelievable I'm buying a run and drive car. When the transporter makes the drop off there isn't any key!!!! How to hell I'm supposed to move it. And the car basically us in the middle of the street!!! The car did had the keys, did sayd run and drives!!!
I ONLY CHOSE ONE STAR BECAUSE ZERO WASN'T AN OPTION. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I USED THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE AND ASKED FOR A COURTEOUS CALL TO BE AVAILABLE AT DROP OFF. NO CALL AND MY VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS ON A THURSDAY MORNING THAT WASN'T EVEN SIMILAR. I WAS MADE AWARE OF THAT ON FRIDAY MORNING. FRIDAY EVENING I WAS TOLD THE BUSINESS THAT HAD MY CAR WAS CLOSED
AND I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE FOR SUCH SIMPLE TASK.
My truck traveling through Northern TX was supposed to arrive to pickup a car around 1:30 pm but due to a bad weather it was delayed. New ETA was 4:35-4:40pm. I called front desk hoping not to lose another day and ask them to make an acception because we were only five-ten min late for their "cut off" (technically copart is open until 5pm). "Sir, If you here after 4:30 we won't release your car" I was told twice with arrogance. Truck had to wait 16 hours until next morning...

This is by far one of the worst coparts I have ever been to. I have been in auto transportation for over 15 years and never had so many issues at a copart facility. Going to countless copart locations each month in texas and many other surrounding states. This is the only one they refused to load a truck claiming it is to big in size. They claim it is too big for their machine but I have personally witnessed coparts load much bigger vehicles without hesitation. I assume you must be a big enough buyer and purchase enough vehicles for them to turn their head and get anything loaded. I believe it's just inexperienced loader drivers and poor management that is causing such an issue.
