Took my grandson for his 1st time at a "junk yard". We had a blast. Very friendly guys working there. We forgot to check out the infamous "junk yard dogs". Next trip. 😎 Thanks guys for the fun time we had. Even found an old Ford hubcap that we bought.
Its a genuine classic car junk yard with machines dating back to the 40s, but some stuff is a bit tucked away and hard to get to. Just getting a jack to one of the 50s cars took more than half the amount of time I spent getting the parts I wanted.
My first experience dealing with salvage yards. This was my third stop even though the first two yard had some of what i needed, I dont do business with folks who make you feel unwelcome/uncomfortable. Larry and other staff were a pleasant surprise. Straight to the point, lended me a couple wrenches and were clear on price. No joke the cost was a quarter of the other two. Just what I needed.
This place is just Amazing! Just tell them what kind of vehicle your looking for they send you in the right direction. Pick what part you want of the scrap car and they give you a price!!
Unbelievable at the heart that these people can have they might have a serious blank stare in their eyes but that's an illusion compared to their kindness. They have a strange way of conducting business but I don't mean that in a bad way at all... If you can see through that tough armor you'll see a person you'll see they have a huge heart so thank you for everything
This has been my go-to junkyard for about eight years now. They have a better selection of cars than most others in the area and their prices can't be beat. I've been to every other salvage yard in Amarillo and Cherry has the absolute lowest prices. At least on all the stuff I've bought over the years...which is quite a bit.
Just be warned..the guys at the desk will point you in the right direction but don't expect them to hold your hand and walk you there. Bring the tools you need for the job. Or pray that you find a nice person willing to loan you some for a few minutes.
I'm not sure if they will pull parts for you or not. The only thing I've needed help with was getting an engine out of a car and to the front gate. They were more than happy to lift it out for me after I got it disconnected.
Thank you guys for having a great place to buy parts.
We went in on a whim, and they had the correct part at a fairly reasonable price. The staff was very helpful and they loaned us the tools to take part off the car. They have a great selection of vehicles, and getting to see all the old cars is like walking through a museum. I highly recommend this place for used parts.
I would never recommend this place to no one. I went down there looking for an EGR valve some guy working the desk with a foreign accent was unfriendly and not helpful at all. Nothing is numbered or lettered. Not to mention the grass is standing taller than any vehicle in the lot so it makes it hard to find anything. I totally wasted my time and gas going there. Highly not recommending anyone to spend their money with people that don't know how to be friendly and have no customer service.
Always greeted. Most of the time I find the parts I need. Never had a bad experience. Would highly recommend when looking for auto parts and would rather go to the junkyard over auto part store.
This is what a salvage yard should be. Rare selection of old vehicles (a few 1972 Gran Torino’s and more) and friendly staff. Been coming here since the 1990s!
