Incompetent shop... avoid this place at all cost. I would explain it all but don't want to use up 1 gig bite of internet net space. I say this so you so won't have go through what I did. So please save you a big headache and your money, don't use this place. $125.00 per hr rate for Incompetent so called Mechanics.
You did other Diagnostics by removing plugs on bank 2 to test and like I knew already,the timing jump, but failed to mention and instead just suggested I install new spark plugs.
Well to be plain as simple ,I have a 2020 vehicle that I’m leasing to own and the head gasket blew because of a bad water pump, I was recommended to a affordable mechanic that worked from home. Long story short I got the vehicle back in worse condition I brought it in, then two months down the road it started running hot again. Been having bad luck since I got the car, so I asked around again for a real shop mechanic . This is when I was recommended to Richie airline garage and I must say from the beginning him his son Hunter and jimmy was on the job immediately which was good cause I was paying for a rental car, they kept me informed on the progress of the vehicle every step of the way. The quality of their work speaks for itself. I bought a replacement motor cause the old engine was trash , they put it in within a decent time and had me back on the road again, drove to Baton Rouge La. The Next day for a wedding Which is 409 miles away from where I live , and it was like nothing was ever wrong with my vehicle. Highly recommend and will definitely go back when any thing pops up
I have known this man and his family since childhood, has always provided great service and had more mechanical knowledge as a kid than most grown mechanics I've met in my life.
This guy had his hands and head under the hood before he could see over the hood!
If you need someone you can trust, someone that is knowledgeable and reliable he's your man!

DEFINITELY THE BEST IN TOWN! Honest and fair, excellent customer service and always a job well done! They even show me my old parts, they explain everything in detail, and there is never a surprise when I go to pay. As a single mom, I cant even begin to express how grateful I am for this shop. All women need a mechanic they can trust, these guys are the ones! Thank you guys for all your hard work!

Update March ‘24 after a previous 5-star review:
I had a belt replaced here with no apparent problems — until I got home. I get in my car later in the day and it’s squealing in a way it wasn’t before. I went back a couple days later, when my schedule permitted, and the same guy who did it ended up helping me. He remembered me, and I mentioned how the car started squealing like crazy later the same day after I left. Before I could say something like, “I think it’s something simple like there’s not enough tension on the belt. Could we check and see what’s going on?”, he immediately gets defensive and tries to distance himself from any potential blame — blame I wasn’t even trying to place on anyone. He says that the car was perfectly fine after he was done and didn’t make a sound when I left, which was true and I didn’t try to imply otherwise. I just wanted to see what was going on and hoping it was a simple issue, like adjusting the tension on the belt. Another guy, one I’ve dealt with before and who is incredibly friendly and helpful, ended up getting my car and showed me what he thought it was (a different belt that I should’ve just had replaced at the same time as the other). The other guy was present throughout and was incredibly flippant about my comments about my car, one of which I was admittedly mistaken on, and ended up just walking away in an exasperated manner.
At no point did I attempt to point fingers or claim any wrongdoing on the mechanic or the shop, but I was immediately met with an incredibly unfriendly attitude the moment I simply described the belt starting to drastically squeal after I left. It’s possible the dude just had a bad day and I hope that’s all it was; I hope that’s not how he typically treats customers just looking to follow up on past work and see what’s going on with their car.

Richie was great! Very helpful over the phone and kept his word about everything. Fast, friendly, courteous. Price was right after getting multiple quotes from other shops. Yelp reviews do not do his shop justice. Wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.
Just moved to the area and needed a new mechanic. This place is fairly priced, reliable and fast. Customer service from Jimi was outstanding with a lot of communication and care. I would highly recommend this establishment.
Called about some engine rebuild work 2days and seven phone calls later and all I got was the run around. Didn't even get a price quote for the work. Very bad customer service wouldn't advise going to them.
Richie's has been taking care of our families vehicles for the last 20 years. They are professional, knowledgeable and always reasonably priced. They take pride in their work and have kept our family safe. I would highly recommend Richie's Airline Garage.
The guy checked me in was great, but the dude who just did my air conditioner inspection has some kind of attitude problem. I’m not sure if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed or what
It is very hard to find really good mechanics, who’s best interest is the customer. I am extremely impressed with Jimmy Leonard, who went above and beyond for me. He cares about helping others and he is passionate with what he do. Jimmy is my go to guy now.

Leonard is very helpful! He helped me figure out what was going on with my ac and was very honest with pricing and gave helpful suggestions! I definitely recommend this shop if you’re looking for someone that’s not gonna try to screw you over! I charge over $100 just as a diagnostic fee
After using many mechanic shops in and around the coastal bend I can honestly say this is by far the most professional and most reasonable priced shop I have had the pleasure of doing business with. The entire staff was extremely friendly, had great communication and my vehicle was completed as promised. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my vehicles but them.. Hats off to the owner and his great establishment….
One of the best A/C repairs in Corpus Christi. Richie will give you the best deal that won't break your pockets. Honest, and trustful. I had the worst experience before going to Richies ..Jimmy talked to me about my cars issues andexplained it all in a language i understood.when i drove off ,it ran better than it ever did.they are all a great team.integrity plus.
I went in this past week to fix my ac evaporator... called a few other places and they were charging well over $1800... Spoke with Richie, told me he’d give me a good deal and A DEAL he did. Dropped it off the next day, picked it up at the end of the day. Ac was back blowing cold! A few lights had turned on and some steering wheel adjustment was needed since they had to pull my whole dash. Randy took care of it the next day no extra charges or anything. They have become my new places for all my truck problems. I’ll definitely keep going back. They were quick, easy, polite and straight to the point.

I feel I was taken advantage of. I had to have 3 additional repairs before my car could leave his garage and everything was fine when I went in for initial repair. I went in under my maiden name but I was definitely there. I have every right to write reviews based on my experience and how I perceive a business. I'm glad if others had a good experience, I didn't.
Honest and dependable! Richie and his crew have been a huge blessing for my family and I while we’ve been in town. Only been living in corpus for 6 months or so, and needed an honest mechanic we could trust to do the job right to keep our old cars on the road an our family safe. Richie and Randy have been nothing but helpful, fair and trustworthy!
