Recycled some aluminum rims they had weights and valve stems, didn’t realize that would give me $.50 per pound versus $.75 per pound. The owners let me come back up, clean orr the weights and the valve Stems and gave me the full $.75 per pound. Great people.!!!
To say that I got "cheated" is an understatement. I got completely screwed. Their website clearly states that coated copper wire is $2.80lb. I had 20 pounds and only got $0.40 per pound.
It was very clean coated #1 copper wire that was not insulated. They classified it as insulated "low grade" #2.
My husband had been going there for years and no problems. Today he had me take it in because I was passing by them on my way to town.
After reading some other reviews it appears that only females get "cheatted".
These are some of the most dishonest people that I have ever met. BEWARE LADIES!
I had been hauling to cleveland recycling since the day they open customer service is outstanding, along with safety, fair prices i gave 5 stars because I cant give 10
It was my first time ever even doing business with a scrap yard..they made it so easy and Andrew was extremely helpful and kind to someone who was an absolute virgin to the whole process? definitely recommend 10/10
Edit: I love the location and people but I have to remove a star for hours. They close early on weekdays and are not open on Saturday.
Old :If I could I would bring 100% of my business to this yard. If I am anywhere near 105 with a load I will pass buy every scrap yard closer to me to go to this one. Sadly most my business occurs in spring and 99 charges for the extra trailer axle, but this yard is organized and I love that they actually calibrate the scale for small loads, (if I have a thousand pounds of rebar I'm not worried about 10-20 lb roundups but a single dishwasher that 10-20lb is the whole value.) I haven't brought prescious metals here yet but the area looks organized. It's also a giant concrete pad I can see everything on, very low risk of getting metal in my tires. Also . Free popsicles on hot days!

I have a cold, couldn't show up in person. Gave a call for price so that my friend can drop the material. Guy on the phone ended the call after asking for price.
A recycling place that doesn't take aluminum cans for recycling, I would steer clear of this place
Edit: had cans in bags and had my own containers for loose cans and still was turned away
Pretty cool dudes running this place. Emptied our trailer and paid the current rate for all our scrap. They’ll even hook you up with some free popsicles before you leave.
Look at the response to this review. Look at the owner admitting that they quoted me the wrong price and changing the price AFTER they tore up my truck. Look at him saying ohhh it was actually 800lb of plywood and plastic (thats still insane!!!!). They must be out their dam mind! The ambulance was wide open, and if yall were worried about pillows and plastic and plywood, thats ON YOU to say BEFORE you tear up a vehicle.
So, heres what happened:
I called first and was told i would get $.08/lb, so i had my ambulance towed there. AFTER they started dismantling my ambulance, the cashier said OOPS its .$07/lb. DURING the dismantling, the dismantler called the cashier and said there is 1000lb of plywood and PILLOWS AND BLANKETS in the ambulance... to take off 1000lb! i BUILT the "cabinets"! there was 3 sheets of plywood! 1000lb of plywood is almost 20 sheets of 3/4"! the tow truck driver and i stood there and watched the grapple remove 3 pieces of plywood. After the tow truck, i went home with $330 for a 9000+lb aluminum dually ambulance with a 600lb brake retarder and a 7.3 liter diesel engine! ABSOLUTE THIEVERY. Everyone I know, for the rest of my life, will know how they rob people AFTER they start tearing up their vehicle. im all for businesses making money, but im pretty sure what they did was illegal.
I'm a newbie to dropping off scrap, I had no idea what I was doing. Definitely a duck out of water situation. The person on the phone was extremely professional, the gentleman at the window " Danny" was friendly and kind. The guys at the pit unloaded everything for me and I got paid a lot more than expected. Overall amazing experience. Best part they gave everyone in the truck a popsicle! My kids loved it.
Pretty sure they CHEATED me. My husband and I have been here before with no issues, but today I took a trailer load since he had to work. The guy at the window told me to pull up so that only my trailer tires were on the scale, which I thought was funny but I trusted the guy. My husband had been curious how much the everything weighed since he moved it by himself (I’m 6 months pregnant). So when I asked the guy how much everything weighed, he looked down and just said that the receipt would say. I left with $14 for a mobile home axle, a stove, a metal barrel with scrap in it, a small generator, and other miscellaneous items. The last time we came we had a lot less and we got $28 and change. Today, the receipt showed an even 200 lbs which doesn’t make sense for two reasons:
How likely is it that you’re gonna get an even number like that? They don’t round up or down when my husband was there before.
The axle alone was probably close to 200 lbs.
My husband explained afterwards that that a lot of the weight had been on the tongue and so it didn’t show up accurately when they weighed without the truck on the scale.
Everything is fine but the person who pays is not friendly at all. She asked me for a Texas ID. I told her I didn't have one and I showed her my consular registration and she didn't even look at it, she said I need a Texas ID and she just left the money in the window and I won't be back to that place
This place sux! I mean they use to be great, but now they can't even pay us! How does a business not have any money to pay the customers! It's hot as ___ and no place to wait not even a thank you for having to wait for over 45 minutes and counting! Smh!
