HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE! Tim is completely unprofessional and doesn't even have the courtesy to communicate without constant badgering, never answers the phone & rarely returns texts. My auto was stuck at his shop for over 9 months and he never did a damn thing and didn't even have the common decency to pick up the damn phone or even simply send a text to say he cant or wont work on it. I finally had to send a tow truck to pick it up but only after badgering the hell out of him to confirm hours of operation. In a day and age where it couldn't be easier to communicate this is absolutely PATHETIC! MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: To be clear, y'all were highly recommended by my insurance agent and by all accounts do great work but I never got to find out so to anyone reading, my review in no way speaks to the quality of work they may or may not do. My issue was the almost nonexistent communication, I have texts and calls that went unanswered for weeks to months & no where in the process was I told when they would start nor was I asked for a deposit (which I would have gladly done and have the abundant capacity to not only pay the deposit but all work as well). I was polite in asking for updates and when we could start but got almost no responses. This went on for nine months and I never rushed y'all in all that time, I merely wanted a modicum of communication which apparently was too much to ask. When I did finally get a response it was curt and came off as rushed, uninterested and/or dismissive. If my project was something you didn't want to do or had no time to do, you should have told me but that never happened and you cant possibly conclude I was being impatient since the van set at your shop for nine months before I finally threw in the towel and gave up. IHC wrote more words in their response to my review than they ever committed to me as a customer, had you given half the effort you did in your response to my review and my project and then delivered on the build and quality, you would have had a customer for life that would have sung your praises endlessly but apparently my expectation for just a slight bit of communication was too much of an ask which I should never have had to ask for from a professional in the first place. I would NEVER treat my customers like this unless I despised them which is honestly what I felt from IHC In a day and age where communication has never been easier (via text, email, phone, etc) there is no excuse for not doing so yet here we are...

Another great job by Ironhorse Classics I started out with Tim with my 1967 Mustang and then took my 69 Chevelle in and now my 69 GTO. Ironhorse classics have a great attention to detail, very professional shop

I can't rate the work they do since they never did any. What I can say is that “lack of work” took over 4 months. In the initial meeting we discussed I would put together a list of work I needed done , which would consist of immediate needs, and a wish list and while doing the immediate needed work they would communicate with me about if it made sense to tackle that the wish list items now or later to avoid double labor. I put together a very detailed list with the items the truck needed right now, for safety and security such as windows, locks, steering etc. as #1 and just said tell me what I owe you. The wish list items I waited for a quote. After requesting an update numerous times within a couple months and no update I stopped by. The other common answer was always we’re putting together some really cool custom ideas for you , yet never presented me one. So, There it sat with nothing done and I get the same story all these shops give “we’re SO busy, we should be getting to it next week etc” a few weeks later after asking a few more times about an update I get an appointment to come in and go over the numbers. I meet with the owner the shop foreman and manager, and they have numbers, for the most expensive very last wish list items. I asked about the immediate needs items since I saw still nothing had been done and they had no information, no numbers , nothing. They seemed to be only focused on the two $58k items I might not even be doing right now. They’re excuse for not doing any work at this point was, they were working on a place for it to do the work and it was now in that bay, but now they were on it! I should be getting regular updates from here on out. I didn’t. I started calling and texting (since email gets zero responses). And I continued to get the same response “they’re looking it over and we’ll let you know, but we’re so busy so bear with us”. By month 3 I stop by again, same story. Yet newer cars that came in after mine were being finished and posted on facebook completed. Soon after the responses to my request for updates went unanswered. I found another shop (very familiar with this shop doing this) was able to get me right in and gave me promise date and was and has been super responsive. I advised them of the fact I’d be taking it and it was obvious they were almost relieved I was picking it up. Not to mention as it sat there for 4 months it wasn’t driven or put on a charger so my $350 Optima battery was now dead and had to be jumped to drive it home. I can’t prove this but after talking to numerous shops before and after this one, I am fairly certain they really only prefer to deal with customers that plan to spend 6 figures , that hand them a blank check and could care less about the turn around time.

Love these guys...Les the Manager, Tim the big Boss man.. John the carburetor magacian got my old school 72' MC running like a champ.

Tim and his team are simply the best. The depth of knowledge and skill in craft here are of the highest level. 1972 Chevelle SS 454. This is the only shop I trust.

Watched CJ on 32's video on this shop. The work they are doing is top notch doing everything in house owners are very knowledgeable. Good to see father son working on these great classics they have a Chevy Nomad that is so sweet. Thanks for taking care of my guy CJ. 32GANG STRONG

I had my 63 Galaxie 500 in multiple classic cars shop. No one could get it running right. I was so frustrated. I was thinking about selling my car. I called Iron Horse and explained my problems. Timothy told me to bring it by the shop. Before even getting it scheduled for the shop. They figured out most of the problems. With a quick look under the hood. Their quality of work and understanding of classic cars are amazing. What great people. Plus the education I received. My car runs perfect and I can finally enjoy it.

Iron Horse Classics has worked on my 56 Ford Sunliner several times and I have never been disappointed. While finding specific parts have been a little challenging, they have kept me informed. When I pick up my car, it is cleaned and presentable.

Tim is a genuine car guy. His wealth of knowledge in this business is rare. You won't find another person more upfront and honest as him. He gives it to you straight and means what he says. He backs it up with the best personnel and quality work in the business. I won't hesitate to recommend him and his business to anyone.

I can’t say enough great characteristics about Tim and his team at Iron Horse Classics. I have a large emotional and a considerable financial investment in the cars I collect. These cars are being left to my kids so it’s important to me that they are handled professional with an eye to the long term. I asked Tim and the crew to please give me constructive criticism and suggestions. After immediately seeing these guys know these cars like the back of their hand and their desire isn’t to just line their pockets, the focus is on the quality and the reasonable pricing for the services. In a highly competitive business with a lot of options around town, I only have 2 shops out of probably 20+ that I trust implicitly with my investments and Iron Horse is where I will continue to send the toys to get them right and tight. Amazing work! After they did a great job restoring the engine of my 67 Camaro, I told the owner, Tim, that I wished the car was more straight. Although the paint condition was near perfect, there were a lot of waves and dents all around the car. Tim recommended paintless dent repair and I couldn’t be happier. My Camaro is now worthy of being a show car. Having the Paintless dent repair done was the best thing I’ve done to it. It’s like it’s brand new again! And no paint work was needed. Incredibly AMAZING! I am a very happy customer! Now I plan to have him do the hail damage on my wife’s QX 80.

We called Ironhorse after a recommendation. My wife’s grandmother’s 56 T-bird was stored for the past 10 years. The owner at Ironhorse, Tim, accepted our car and performed an assessment. We expected to pay tens of thousands to get it running, and safe for my wife to enjoy; I feared we might need a new engine. Surprisingly, Tim said it needed very little to get running. We received the car, with an itemized list of work performed, spending only $1,700. It runs great, Tim was wonderful with me and my wife. We highly recommend Ironhorse Classics.

Best shop!, great people, great workers! Highly recommend, a busy shop is a good shop. Quality work, they fixed my car and found that it was a simple fix and didn't charge high prices. I like that they specialize in classic cars and have the mechanics that can work on them.thanks again for the great work on my Cadillac. Update 5/5/19: the past two years I have gone in for small things to get done, can’t say enough how professional these guys are, the mechanics/masters are very friendly and professional and know their stuff, Tim has always given me the time to go over what I enquirer about and advice on work to be done, even if it’s something I may do instead of having his shop do because of time or cost, Can’t say it enough, this is the shop to go to, if you see the cars they work on and what they have done you won’t want to look anywhere else.

Tim provided great service, communication, and work from my initial phone call to the final product. He never talked down to me but always addressed questions when I had them, and he kept me in the loop to make decisions regarding labor and parts. My car runs better than it ever has, and now I have a go-to shop for my special ride!

Started work on an old 55 Ford F100 last summer. Bill has been so helpful. Coming into the shop, when they are technically closed, so I could drop stuff off on. Telling me how to do some things on my own... and even encouraging me to do it. They have done a good job, completed work when promised, and charged a fair price. I just need them to move the shop closer to my home, but for now it is well worth the drive to Wylie!
