I go there a lot and I've never had no problem with anything or anyone. The staff is great. Shout-out to April Cory and James y'all are great and hard working people.? Y'all are much appreciated here from me.
Took off a 55 huntered amulets, which is a giant aluminum box stripped clean of metal and would about 2500 pounds. Try to pay me shred price, which is a $108. Then, told me that they were only going to pay me 35 cents a pound, said it had some bolts in it. When there was no kinds of foreign metal in, it should have brought around $2500. Royally got screwed. Do not use this recycling center. I could have brought cans in and made better than this
Very crooked
Took off some scrap an it rolled off trailer and hit the bucket on the track hoe! Then they had 5 loads of cops on me said that I tore up the seal on the bucket! Could not talk to me in person had to call the law!!!!! Poor business if u ask me
Cory helped us so much at the scrap yard, it shocked my entire family. NEVER have we had such a gentleman park his tractor, get off and help us clean our vehicle out! He helped in so many ways I couldn't describe. We pray for more gentlemen like him to be around when we all need help. Thank you Cory for all of your hard work! It WILL pay you back 10x brother.
Absolute jerks. Lady at the pay window seems nice. Guy in the scale house has an attitude like you owe him something. They do not keep the grounds picked up. One person has a set of rules that's different from the other person. 0 sense of leadership or care. Never will anything be taken again or recommended to anyone
Got accused of adding to my ticket with no proof just simply accused and told the scrap
I had just dropped off I wasn't getting paid for. So I got accused of stealing while stolen from. Scrap prices are half here than in surrounding scrap yards it was just convenient. This is what happens when you pay min wage you get junkies that do shady stuff to customers.
I should have read the reviews for this place, they ripped my wife off big time, lowest price I've ever seen made a bunch of excuses and took advantage of her, called #1 copper #2, only paid me 8 cents for 100lbs of brass, don't go here, I filed a complaint with BBB , you should too if you have a bad experience
The new people that work there now are absolutely amazing! Every time the guys in the yard went out of their way to show us how to get the most money for our medals, and the lady in the window is super sweet...
Can't wait to go back.
I'm editing my old review. I've delt with the new guys up here a few times now. Way better than the last guys fair prices and decent enough guys working the scales and equipment.
I called to find out what things they take because I had some paper and plastic I wanted to recycle. The lady I spoke to let me know they only take metals right now but she was nice enough to check around for a place that recycled paper and plastic to help me out. Thought that was awesome…If I ever have any scrap metal I’ll be taking it to Dayton Recycling. Nice people!
Had a great experience! The guys in the back were very helpful and friendly and the girl that works the window was super nice. So glad they are opened back up...I'll definitely be back with some more scrap.
Lazy and slow workers. Either they don't care or they are new and clueless. I had no help at all unloading my stuff and the lady at the pay window wouldn't get off her phone. I waited 10 minutes if not longer, no one in front of me, to get my money. I felt like I was at a doctor's office. Get to you when I can
Tried calling them today since we seen the sign on the pole by Walgreens in Dayton, TN. There phone is not working at all. Was going to see how much aluminum & metal prices where going for right now. Everytime you call it says enter your parties extension or press “0”0”, if you press “0”0” it just repeats it again. If you call and the line is busy it sends your call to the Athens, TN recycling center. This needs to be fixed ASAP! Can’t even contact the company to find out about there service’s/pricing. since the new owners have taken over things are so much better over there! the guys that work out back are so helpful the people that work at the window are super friendly. everyone was just so nice. we had a good experience we will definitely be back!
they would raise the prices up a little bit instead of trying to everybody has to go somewhere else and drive 400 mi I mean they get a whole lot more business that's the only bad thing
