The service Alpine performed was the replacement of cables, guides etc. related to our Mini’s sunroof. Because of the complexity many shops won’t even consider doing this job. Alpine provided a good estimate, secured the parts and completed the work well within the estimated time. The final bill reflected the time they saved in execution. The interior and exterior trim and parts which had to be removed to access the work were replaced like new. A fussy job done with care is always appreciated.
I took my 20 year old Mini Cooper for service and I found Arne to be knowledgeable and efficient in diagnosing the problem and making repairs. I plan to return for future service.
Truly excellent. Arnie and Aaron took incredible care when working on my Volvo. I brought it in for regularly scheduled maintenance, and they worked quickly to do the work I requested. They did a more in depth inspection to make sure my Volvo was in tip top shape, and found some concerning worn down parts. The repair for these concerns were laborious, but again they worked efficiently to finish quickly, and by the end of the day I had a new drive belt and rear brake rotors/pads (or something of that nature, this is not my forte).
This is less important in terms of reviewing the actual performance of the company, but I believe deserves to be said-
less than a week after getting these repairs (which made a noticeable difference in the way my car slowed down and came to a full stop), I was able to brake just enough to avoid a life threatening car wreck. Although my car still made impact, I walked away without injury and truly believe the outcome could have been much, much worse had I not gotten the repairs that Arnie and his team were concerned about.
I will never be able to thank these guys enough, but can wholeheartedly swear that I will bring my car back here again and again and again until the wheels fall off. Then I'll probably buy another Volvo, because I know it will be looked after well as long as I come back here.

My car is almost 20 years old and a critical part stopped working, making the car unsafe. The part was one that is no longer manufactured, and unavailable through normal supply channels. Arnie and Aaron searched, and after twice receiving parts that were unusable, finally acquired the parts that put me back on the road. I sincerely appreciate their diligence and ingenuity.

First of all I am picky. I know cars , especially European cars. I won't just let anyone touch my car, let alone wrench on it. These guys aren't mechanics. They are true technicians . They don't shoot a parts cannon at your car and hope for the best. They troubleshoot and get to the root cause of the problem. They also look after your wallet. On top of that, they are customer driven. VERY rare these days. You just found your new repair shop.

I was driving back to central Indiana on a Friday afternoon when I got a message that my coolant was low and needed to get service ASAP. I pulled over and searched for a import auto repair shop. I found Alpine Auto Werks and called. The owner, Arnie, gave me some advice and I was able to make it the 11 miles to his shop. I arrived at 4:00pm and Arnie diagnosed it immediately. A coolant pipe developed a major leak in a seam. By the grace of God, he had the part on his shelf. I was back on the road shortly after 6:00. I am so grateful that Arnie and the technician stayed late on a Friday just so I could still make it home for the weekend. I talked with Arnie for the better part of 2 hours and found him to be genuine, fair and honest. I could not have been more fortunate and grateful. Thank you so, so much!!
Alpine Auto is so great, I went there twice in two days for different things. It was wonderful to chat with Arnie (it’s his place) while I waited for Aaron to change the oil in the my car. Arnie worked me into their schedule very easily for an oil change, & the next day, to change my battery. Arnie is very friendly & certainly knowledgeable when it comes to cars like mine. Not many mechanics around are, so it’s awesome that he’s just a few miles away from me, too. The oil change was very reasonable, & actually less than I was expecting, & Aaron knocked it out. He did the same quick, professional job with installing & registering the new battery the next day. As with any mechanic, I hope I don’t have to see them too often, but when I do need work done, I won’t hesitate in calling Arnie.
Amazing service. Wonderful people. Arnie is always honest and upfront. He will do everything he can to make a repair as affordable as possible, and if it’s not worth the money to repair something, he will tell you, instead of just doing the job and taking your money. I recommend this shop to anyone with a German make auto, as he is vastly knowledgeable in his field.
We had our eye on a 2000 BMW 528I in his shop to purchase for 4 years, it needed a motor swap. As I have watched Arnie work on many cars, each one he fixed with the same professional work ethic and understanding of the problem. I've spent many hours with him talking with and observing his shop ethics (several times unexpected) and for 4 YEARS each job he did was excellent, not to mention how clean all areas were after the job was complete. With what I saw over this time period and the mechanical knowledge I witnessed, I have no worries about his competence to sell me this car in great working condition. Now going on 5000 miles after purchase, all is smooth and running great ( 21 mpg city and 28 hwy ). We actually entered the BMW into a local car show the next day after purchase for a charity car show ( a good parking spot). We had many people give us complements. Then we went to BMW to get wiper blades and the service MGR was impressed with the car stating "he had previously owned one and in his opinion, the one we have was in great shape " and proceeded to ask if we wanted to sell it ? Arnie made sure this car was in great shape before letting us have it... Thanks for the great reliable car & follow up service is all I can say. We have and will continue to do business with Arnie & will tell many people.
It is so refreshing to find an auto shop that can Really repair your car at a reasonable price. The best part is that you can not find better service anywhere even close to here. I am so thankful that Alpine is here and there are no more trips to Knoxville or Nashville to keep my Mini running like new. Arnie is so knowledgeable and with state of the art computer equipment lets you know in advance when regular maintenance is due or an issue has been detected. I don't know if my Mini would be as much fun without 'no hassle' care. Arnie you are AWESOME!!!!!
