Best scrap yard by far in the area, great people and great prices for buying scrap. I see comments about pricing but in most cases scrap yards are doing you a favor by taking ferrous materials which is usually hard to dispose of and they give you cash (not a ton for most) but you are getting money to get rid of your junk nonetheless! I’d also like to add that they do take smaller loads ie.(100lb-300lb) as I’ve seen many people bring loads of that size there (I would call to make sure however). You do need a permit for brass, copper, etc but they are doing it legally which does require a license to ensure the metal is obtained ethically. Overall they are a great business to support, nice people, and a pretty large scrap yard with tons of stainless pieces, and other steel parts. 10/10 make sure to support your local, family owned businesses!
Never had anything but courteous and professional treatment here. By law or regulations you are required to have a permit, it cost you nothing . So don't falt them for doing their due diligence . If you call and ask what is the metal price (if it were me) I would assume you were selling if your buying it would be twice as much. Tell the whole story not just your half.
They lie about their prices, quote one price then double it when you go there and place is a environmental Hazzard, at best. DEQ should be there soon to inspect them. II'l NEVER return there.
I had an old grill and was pleased to see a scrap metal yard right down the street. I called and they told me I needed a permit to bring it to them. Which I would need to go to some other office to get. I just figured that was the way you had to do it in SC. In Florida and you just had to show up to recycle scrap metal. Anyways I called another scrap yard down the road and they said bring it in and we'll weigh it up. That's what I'm talking about. No fuss from custom recycling. Save yourself some time and driving around.
