Drove 60 miles for a part that they said they had I get there and they are completely disorganized and don't even have the part like bro stay away from these people
Called and Terry answered the phone, he was very short and apparently talking to someone else when he picked up the phone. Didn’t even get to ask what I called for, before he abruptly said “later and hung up the phone. A one star is too much and I don’t see any other options.
Very un reliable! Couldn't even help to find what I was looking for nor had the knowledge of the vehicles or parts they are selling! Not a great way to conduct buisness!
Very fair price, part exactly as described, and great service. As to negative reviews, don't buy used parts. Don't seem to understand cost versus risk.
Amazing Customer Service and the 1 hour drive was worth buying the alternator I purchased here!!! I installed it myself and my car is running back to normal!! Cheaper price too!!!
I love this place ! 8/10 they have what I’m looking for….. wanna know why? They actually help you find what you need ! Who ever is on the telephones need a raise!
I was trying to be a good customer to them and they turn out they sell you the parts twice the price is a new part before you buy apart from them make sure call 5 or 6 Junkyard before you get to call them I spend more than $1400 on one car Bob does not appreciate your business
Would give zero stars if I could . Bought a $1200 transmission from them just for it to be bad and they destroyed my core so I couldn't get my trans back to rebuild it along with they only offered me a partial refund and couldn't get another transmission to replace it . Absolutely unprofessional and have lost my business for life . Take your money elsewhere and save yourself the labor and headache
These people were so nice and helpful from the payout desk to the scales. Bret was very nice he needs a raise for his customer service and his professionalism. Very handsome guy as hell (Pt)
Man let me tell you, these guy rock!! I called them because I needed a part. Went to there Web site to see if they had the part I needed. Well they did , so I called them, the price on Web sit said 1 price and he told me a much lower price, that sold me. Try them it worth the savings
This place is fast to me. Went here 2 x's in 1 day. My hubby drove through first time. I was nervous, to much going on for me either the big tractors moving scrap around. He goes here alott so he knows what he is doing!!! Got out just fine & payed for his little bit of scrap. So wound up I tried to drive next time. I froze & a horn got blower at me, lol go figure I was nervous in the passenger seat, lol!! I could not figure out what to do! So we swapped seats, thank God I didn't want to be in the driver's seat anyway lol!!! So if you know what to do then just drive on through but if you don't, well just have someone drive for you.
Very unhappy! Bought a transmission with a 90 day warranty, no good! Paid over $400.00 for installation for 1st tranny, they did send a replacement which was good but had to pay another $400.00 plus dollars again for installation, and they only participated a measly $100.00 for the second installation. Would not recommend this outfit!!!
I’m very very very very disappointed and disgusted with this place I placed an order for a rim on 03/06/2019 I ordered the part from a guy named jimmy he stated that the rim would be in on 03/07/19 I called to pick it up on that day around 9 am jimmy stated that the part still wasn’t in but it would be available on 03/08/19 I literally just walked into the place today to pick up the part and it isn’t here. I’ve been driving around on a spare tire since the 6th of March and all they can offer is a refund that will take 5-7 business days.Lord I hope My spare doesn’t go flat while I go else where to order another rim.
Loved it I'm addicted to going back to that place now and checking for parts I could use. Price on a few things can be up a little high but other than that great time there
My mechanic called about a transmission they had for my sister's car. Very good price might I add. He was told the transmission was "on the shelf". We live an hour away and was told they don't take payments over the phone which i thought was very inconvenient. Anyhow, we drove the hour drive to purchase and pick up the transmission the very next morning. Ironically we were told that the transmission was still in the car and not "on the shelf". Very disappointing! However Jack arranged to have the transmission delivered to us...although we received it later than they promised...it was delivered. Now my sister's car is back on the road again. Yayyy! It all turned out fine. I gave 4 stars bc we were told a lie about the transmission being ready for pickup and I think they should update their system to take payments over the phone. Again we got the transmission for an excellent price.
Filled out a contact form online and was contacted via email the same day. Was able to get a quote for scrapping a junk car promptly and get a pickup scheduled fast! The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful and polite. Will definitely use them again in the future if needed!
Called this place after finding the part on their website. Spoke to Bob. Bob and I talked about what I was looking for, and he informed me that I could look at it before buying. I drove 30 miles to get to this place, saw Bob. Bob then told me he didn't have the part I was actually looking for. Needless to say, that would have been good information to have BEFORE driving to this place.
Good luck if you decide to go here.
FWIW, I overheard Bob tell the customers in front of me, "good luck finding that part", as they were leaving.
This place was awesome... $2.00 per head to go in.. so spent a good hour, got a Dakota computer display, two stereo cables and a lighter assembly... $13.00 the 2 bucks included... Didn't have all my tools with it I would have got a lot more money. Tons of vehicles to pick from ... Like I said ... Awesome ....
Federal Fraud warning on this place: A complaint has been filed with the DMV Fraud department for false odometer reading.
I tried to buy an auto transmission, $1350.00, from an E-Bay seller who maintained an E-Bay store selling auto parts, the business is
in Rock Hill, that had the part described as having 22,000 miles. Through e-mail correspondence I asked for him to check the mileage
again and he gave me 22,472 miles. I then got the VIN number from the sellers car and did a history check. The actual mileage is
189,648. I confronted him with this and he accused the person he said he purchased the car from and then proceeded to immediately
take down the listing and he closed his entire E-Bay store. I reported this to E-bay and they have started an investigation. The auto parts store is called Carolina Salvage Full Service Auto Parts, 234 Porter Road,
Rock Hill, SC 29730. They were prepared to sell me the part and set a pick up date knowing they had supplied a false odometer reading.
Came in looking for a steel wheel for my car, and they had exactly what I was looking for. Problem was, I could get it brand new for $60 and they wanted to charge me $90. When I asked why the man told me to have a nice day and walked away, I left and called back and asked if he was willing to go down on the price and he hung up. Went somewhere else and got exactly what I needed for $20. Do your research before you buy a used part here.
Scrapped a car here. They told me I'd get $189 for it. They said it would be a $40 tow fee, and didn't know when they could get to it because they were so busy. It didn't turn on, so it's not like I had a choice...They said I didn't even have to be there when they came to get it since i brought then the title though... The very next morning, Evan's towing calls me and say they're on their way. They show up and tell me I have to follow them to the scales. I do and when I get there, they tell me I'm getting $165 and it's a $50 tow fee. It wasn't that big of a deal to lose $35, but it just shows the kind of shady people your dealing with. They know that once they have your car in the yard, it's not like you're gonna tell them to bring it back out over $35. You're better off putting your scrap car on Craigslist and letting the scrap guys fight over it.
They give you a print out of the cars you look for. When you go into the yard several on the list are not out there, the rows are empty. Their printouts of inventory and what is actually in the pull it yard is days or weeks behind. We were told by staff it is the risk you take to pay to go find out the cars they say are out there are not there. The risk is supposed to be the part we want may not be out there not the vehicle itself. They have been removed and crushed many days earlier. They have a website but the price list is no good so they say. They do not have a price list to show you at the counter. The three teen looking female employees are only there for a paycheck. You tell them about an issue and they refuse to let you prove you are correct. That is interesting that they refuse to be shown that the customer is right. Maybe they need a more mature staff. The best yards are in Charlotte, free 30 day warranty and not $1 a day like this place. When Charlotte tells you a car is out there on a certain row you can be confident it is there. Worth the drive to Charlotte for a better inventory, organized and employees that are customer friendly. Prices are fine in Rock Hill but they have prices on their website that are not honored. you ask for a price list and told they do not have one. Poorly run by young people who don't give a hoot whether the cars they say are out there are there are not. Pay your $2 and be happy they are even open is their poor attitude. Customers know the way it is out there.
Our mechanic installed a transmission in 2010 with a lifetime warranty from Carolina Salvage. The transmission lasted until three weeks ago so we are getting it replaced.
Carolina Salvage has sent two bad transmissions to our mechanic. One went bad during testing, the second went bad after we drove a couple of days. We brought it back on a Sunday night and they said they will send a new transmission FRIDAY. A whole week without the car again.
No rental car, just a "Best I can do buddy, I'm just the middle man."
So now my mechanic (great company, Matthews Towing) is our middle man and the parts supplier is the middle man. Who is the "man"?
I'll update if it gets worse.
