Got stuck on the side of an exit at least an hour away from home. Called them and they were there within 1.5 hours. Had our car loaded up and even brought us (including my 9 year old) and our car back to Gaston. I would recommend this towing company 1 million times over.

Hands down, if you are in need of a tow, THIS is the company you want. I am traveling solo cross-country and the other day, I blew a fuel injector in my 2005 GMC Sierra (quad cab/long bed w/a Lance cabover camper). I was stuck off of I-20 for over 9 hours waiting on AAA service which never came. While I was waiting, I must have called over 10 different tow companies. I spoke to a couple of people who were very kind but none who could get my oversized vehicle safely to the mechanic who had agreed to service it..... until I talked to Chris from SDR towing. He was literally my roadside hero late on a Thursday night. His communication and follow through in setting up a pick up time were top notch. Upon his arrival, he had me hitched up and ready to roll in no time. He was kind, completely professional and obviously a long-time pro at hauling. The drive was very slow-going with my large rig - and I truly appreciate the care he took with it. We hit a bit of a snag mid-tow and - to make sure all was good - he called in another truck, which arrived in no time. Given the good chunk of time we spent together in getting to the repair shop, I had the privilege of getting to learn more than a bit about who Chris is and how he walks in the world. This is an honest man, a good man. He runs his company ethically, both with integrity as well as with the aim of helping to lift the spirits of those he encounters. What started as a challenging day for me... ended with the unexpected gift of time very well spent. I am so glad that all my efforts in seeking assistance eventually led me to just the right person to carefully haul my "she's having a bad day" rig and to just generally help me to well-navigate an otherwise challenging experience. Literal life savers. These guys went above and beyond in the middle of the night during one of my worst experiences. Felt like family while staying professional. I’m so grateful!
I wouldn't give them any stars if I could still leave a comment. I have AAA, they sent this company to being me gas. They put 2 gallons of liquid in my gas line. I got less than a mile and my car quit again. Had to have my car towed to the dealership. They removed 2 gallons of water from my tank and one gallon of gas. At the very least, they put a gallon of water in my tank. They refused to help with the cost of the repair. I asked for a copy of the receipt for the gas. To this date, over a month now, I have yet to get a copy of the receipt. I should be allowed to have a receipt from the place that obviously had water in their tank. SDR towing waited over 36 hours before they went to the gas station they supposedly got the gas from to check. By that point, the water would have moved again. Be careful with this towing company. They also used mileage for my tow to go back and look for a cell phone, so AAA was charged more miles than they used for me
Update: still haven't gotten receipt they promised to get me from gas station. It has been 2 and a half years now.
Broke down on the highway north of Gaston late on a Sunday. The big national towing service that I pay for was *hopeless*--we waited 2 hours for them and they were still unclear on how to find us. Scary. Called SDR Towing at random from Google Maps--they were fast, efficient, professional. Being local, they knew immediately where I was; they recognized my mechanic's address immediately, too. Within 3 minutes I had paid a reasonable price for the service and had been texted a proper receipt. I left my car where it was, I was so confident in them. 40 minutes later I got a call to say they had not only picked up my car, they had already dropped it at the mechanic's! I would definitely use this service again and would recommend these guys!
Awesome people helped me off the side of the road and got me back up and running more than once without breaking the bank wouldn’t take my truck anywhere else
We had a flat tire on Interstate 26 while hauling our horse trailer. They were professional, came when they said they could be there, within 2 hours, were experienced and reasonable. They hauled the truck and horse trailer at the same time back to their shop. Highly recommend.
We used this towing company through our insurance's roadside assistance. They were, by far, the best towing company we have ever worked with. They actually showed up within the time frame we were given which has NEVER happened before. They were super friendly. And they parked the car by our house in the perfect spot. We were very happy with their service which I have NEVER said about a towing company before. (Yes, I used all caps twice, because I am that shocked by the service.)
Absolute HORRIBLE business!! My insurance contacted them for me to get my car towed . I made one simple request for the tow driver to call me make so I can make arrangements to get belongings out the car but instead the receptionist failed to contact the driver before he left the pick up location. I found out he left by contacting the pick up location!! So when I called the tow company back, the receptionist gave the excuse of having too much to do and started fussing at the driver to now call me! She then proceeded to get rowdy/attitudal with both me and the driver! I will never do business with this company and I’m glad that money was paid to my insurance and not them! Just sad how poor the customer service is over there . Good help is so hard to find .
Came out to get in car end of my work day. Car wouldnt start. Called hub, Hub called AAA and SDR Towing came out to my work to rescue me. The technician, TJ, was fast efficient and courteous. TJ popped in a new battery for me and sent me on my way!! How bout that!!

We had AAA coverage but since it was a box truck, AAA denied the tow. Charles from SDR, helped us figure out why the truck wasn't starting. We got back on the road. Charles was awesome, he went above and beyond what he had to do.
Made a call to my insurance company due to my car having issues and not being able to drive it safely home. Before I could hang up with the insurance company, SDR was calling and only a minute away from arrival. Your technician gave us a very unexpected and prompt service and was very considerate to our needs and our car was safely delivered to our home. Thank you for making our stressful situation a very pleasant one.
Stephen gave us awesome care when our break line failed ! He went above and beyond to help us and was patient when we were not sure as to where we were towing it too !
If I could give less than one star I would. This company damaged my vehicle and then refused to send anyone out to look at it or look at their video cameras afterwards. And now they refuse to even talk to me about the situation do not use this company they are crooked as hell.
We had Jason Gibson, very professional and polite. He was also great with the kids, my niece and nephews late father used to drive the truck he has and he turned on the light and sounds for them to see and let them take pictures next to it, made the kids' day! Highly recommend SDR and Jason!
I run a verysimular company in Florida and this was the very first time I've ever heard of a road service or towing service not able to take a credit card over the phone has left me and my family sitting here for an additional 45 minutes waiting on a tow company that would for which every tow company that I called would take a credit card over the phone but them so very horrible service
Our driver I believe his name was David went above and beyond for us today . Towed us to a garage and then took my self and my husband and our stuff to a hotel and made sure we were safe ! Very happy and the price was a lot better than a towing company in WV we had to use just the day before .
These people were able to still put a smile on my face during a stressful situation. I was hysterical when I first spoke to Wendy but she quickly calmed me down and had me laughing. She is a top notch dispatcher!!!
I had to have my car towed from Columbia to Charleston. Although having your car towed is never a “pleasant” experience, I really appreciated Josh’s kindness (I think that was his name!). He was professional and if I ever had to recommend a towing company in the Columbia area, it would be this one!
Amazing care for my family, car and dog. Extremely kind and professional. Very dependable and clean truck with the latest hitching equipment, making my tow very quick and safe with zero damage to our car. Most impressive, Jimmy waited at the dealership where he towed us to see how else he could help - who does that anymore? Way above and beyond.
They only let good reviews on there page. I had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with them VERY UN PROFESSIONAL. My rate and comment was taken down. They put my truck in a truck then driving be off putting more scratches on it and then they owner said oh well. And I have pictures and veido of my truck going through the limbs of a tree!!! Never call them!!
We had a flat tire on the interstate near their office. They walked over to help get the tire changed and not only did they not charge for the service, they refused to take any payment! Just very nice guys. You can't go wrong having some one help you when they will obviously go above and beyond what is expected. They were very quick and efficient, and this was a large SUV with a spare that is attached under the body, and it must be cranked down to be accessible. I highly recommend this company for any towing/road help or repairs you might need.
I was involved in a nasty pile-up on I-26 Friday afternoon near Sandy Run. SDR sent a crew to free my vehicle from the truck that hit me and tow my totaled car away. Because my husband could not reach us due to heavy traffic, the gentleman who drove the tow truck gave my grandchildren and me a ride to the SDR office (which was amazingly clean). Every single employee we encountered was exceptionally kind and solicitous and went out of his and her way to make us comfortable while we waited for the Highway Patrol and my husband. Many thanks to each and every employee of SDR for their care and concern!
