What clients say about Georgiaville Pond in North Smithfield Township (RI)

I went early in the morning just to take a walk and check out the location. I've only ever been on the Stump pond side, so it was quite a surprise to see the other half, which is Georgiaville Pond. I loved the memorial rock along with the bench dedicated to some residents who lost their lives in the pond such a great way to honor their memories. The water and grounds looked great and clean and definitely a great local spot to take the little ones.

Very nice swimming spot!! Can bring floats.. Closed for the season..so no life guards....The water felt very nice!! Nice spot!! You can go sit by the tree line..get a bit of relief from the sun...At the end of the beach area..there is a Nice path to take a stroll down.. Plenty of wildflowers last time I was there!!!! Very nice place to like spend the day.. bring your lunch.. hang out with the family and I know they charge something entrance but it's worth every single penny!! Personally I just buy the season pass.

Came here today with my favorite 9 year old grandson today. Really the first time here to swim, relax and enjoy watching him. The entrance into the parking lot is what ticked me off. When did this selfishly ran little town decide to charge 2 separate fees for an individual to sit on the sand! $10 to park, and $2 for ‘beach fees’ or something along those lines. In town, out of town, same bs. I have read about the financing behind the improvements here. I have so many fabulous memories of this little beach. Now it’s like so many other little town, USA’s ?? beaches, just handled like all other line-items on a spreadsheet. No feelings whatsoever. Wow, how this town has changed in many ways, but still the same in others. What a shame.

Nice shady area by the water, few people on boats, fishing area, lay out on its little beach area. Nice peaceful location.

A really nice place for Smithfield locals! It's the outsiders that can ruin the peace and calm of the area when they come to "party" at the beach of a local pond...They'd be better off at Oakland Beach or Conimicut Point in Warwick with the tents, blaring radios, and hookahs.

I great place for boating, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. I opted for the boat, truck and trailer season pass. This 94 acre pond is close to home and hosts a town beach with everything you need to stay cool and active on a hot summer day. Life guards are usually on duty.

A real cute park that has a nice calm and earthy atmosphere. There's a lovely little duck pond with benches to sit on. A nice welcoming hidden gem.

This is a beautiful little beach on a large pond hidden in a back neighborhood. They have a boat dock and u can fish water ski wakeboard whatever it's also a nice pond to kayak on. Parking isn't free but very reasonable. However they do have a few free parking spots right outside the gate

Grew up right down the road so spent a lot time at our town beach. Swimming lessons from the age of 4,caught my first fish at 5.Almost drowned trying to swim to island at 10...dont think I can publish online much after 10. I'm told very good ice fishing in the winter.Great walking path to Dam....lots of hidden treasures!!

Picturesque swim, more of a lake, with plenty of cool spring fed pockets of water to keep it interesting on a hot day. Elevated gravel path was a rail bed for the ice house, now leads to a dam, and about 60-70' below is a running river, part of the Stillwater system. One request by a town resident would be for better changing,/ rest room area, and at least an outdoor shower.

I grew up swimming in Gorgiaville Pond and still love it. You do need to have a Smithfield resident pass to park in the lot, though.

Pretty deep pond. Witnessed someone drown here because the water drops off severly outside the no swim area. Swim area is nice and patrolled by life guards. There is a cost to go to the beach. Decent fishing pond as well. Spot for a boat launch.

Small and intimate beach, but plenty of water for swimming and boating. One of the jewels of Smithfield, doesn't get over crowded and plenty of parking.

Perfect spot to relax with a decent amount of beach. If you take a bit of a walk there is a nice dam that leads to a river.

I love swimming here the water is like glass clear it's not so crowded and duerty it's quiet here escapes from the city. You want to know way the water level is lowered down is because they lower the water level to eliminate most of the evasive species plant's they do that during the late autumn to early spring then they raised the water up to normal level that why they do that
