My sister started me off going to Route 5 for my vehicle maintenance. Ken and Holly are the best, and take good care of me whenever I need to stop in for help. Like low tire pressure, or my rear window washer needs a refill and I never did that! I recently had to get new brakes to pass inspection. So glad I am now driving with good brakes! I had no clue! Excellent service. I noticed once that they put a cap on one of my valve stems that was missing one after an oil change. They never mentioned it or charged me for it. I have other examples of how well I've been treated there but I'll leave it at that. I don't make a habit of reviewing places but I had to make an exception here.

So my car broke down in Rhode Island I am from Connecticut as the towing Service who they would bring it to the recommended route five auto next morning I called route five ask them if they bring my car to look at it they said they would by the end of the day they looked at my car they fixed it and call me the same day I was more than pleased with the price of the repairs P.s the lady working in office called 2 times to let me know what’s going on

Great experience car came in no appointment and they ordered parts and fixed the car next day for a fair price they were nice on the phone and really saved the day for us. Thank you team

My mother brought her car to them for an overheating issue, they claimed it needed a radiator, water pump and thermostat. I am a mechanic of 10 years now and she asked me to look it cause she couldn’t afford the $4500 they wanted to charge. The issue was none of the items they tried to sell her, the issue was the plastic water outlet to the heater that had a giant hole in it (very obvious leak). So these guys are either crooks trying to over charge people or they don’t know a single thing about working on cars and need to be retained or better yet shutdown. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS The part in question is in the picture below

Thank goodness I was referred to Rt 5 auto repair!! I spent way too much money at a dealership in the past. Believe me you will be so satisfied if you bring your vehicle here!

My wife and I have been bringing my vehicles here for regular service, including inspections, oil changes, new tires, etc, for about 5 years, and have always had a positive experience end to end.

I have had multiple vehicles service at RT 5 auto service for over 10 years. They are reasonable and provide quality service. I truly believe that they have been instrumental in helping me maintain the longevity of my vehicles.

I came in for brake pads on my BMW, was not told I also needed rotors. They just completed the job without notification. I would’ve liked a follow up on the matter to have a choice. I do not recommend this place. Couple weeks later I now need back brake pads and went to Sal’s on Putnam Pike in Johnston. I was informed that I only need pads and sensors. My rotors are good. I do not find Rt. 5 Auto to be trustworthy. I found a new mechanic and will continue using their services.

Best mechanic I have ever had. I do most of my own work but when there's something that I can't figure out this shop is on point and gets it done. I'd give them six stars if I could.

I recently had my inspection and repairs done at Rt. 5 and they were very professional and knowledgeable. My visit was done on time and with the price quoted. I recommend them to anyone looking for these services.

Originally took my car to another shop to complete a required DMV emissions/safety test, was told the total repairs would cost around $900. Instead I took my car to Route 5 Auto and my total repairs were less than $300! Happy with the service and repairs I received, would recommend to anyone who lives in the area.

I've been a loyal customer to Rt 5 for years and have paid thousands of dollars to this company. I will no longer use this repair shop after what happened recently: Long story short, I had to get my car towed to Rt 5 auto because of an emergency break down that occurred after-hours. I was fortunate enough to be near rt 5 when it happened, so I had it towed there. After this, I got a ride home, which is far away from rt 5. When I called them the next morning, they said that would not fix the vehicle because it was time-intensive and costly job. I was not upset, just disappointed. I explained that was fine, but I wouldn't be able to get it towed to a nearby auto shop for a few days due to my situation. I thanked them for keeping my car safely in their lot, but they replied that they dumped my car onto the side of the road and said to come get it before it gets ticketed by the police. I did resolve the situation and got it towed, but I am upset they put my badly damaged car on the side of the road and had no problem risking me getting a ticket!

I used to love this place came today for a valve replacement waited inside when my car was done my car smells like cigarette smoke and I had cigarette ashes on my seat! After paying $175 for the issue on my car went and spent an extra $20 to clean my car because the cigarette smoke was so strong it made me sick. When I drove off the lot I called them and got a response of I’m sorry I will let him know. Very unprofessional will never return again. I spent so much time and money into this place never had an issue except for today. I am very upset had to cancel my son’s doctors appointment because I could not put my kid in my car. such an inconvenient situation I do not recommend if you’re not a smoker or have a high-risk family!

I've been using Rte 5 to service my 2005 vehicle for over 10 years. The service includes inspections, regular maintenance and major repairs. Route 5 is very honest and very professional. Holly is always polite and accommendating. She always calls me with the cost of repairs before my vehicle is worked on and follows up again when my vehicle is ready. I am very happy with the outcome of my recent major repair. Cost was very reasonable and my vehicle runs like new. I am very satisfied with their work and I have recommended Rte 5 to family and friends.

Great place to do business! Honest, no trying to sell you something you didn't need serviced. if they do find something unexpected, you are notified, and you decide if you want it taken care of at that visit or at a later time. I've come here for years and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommend!

I've used Rt. 5 over the past few years for all different services, from oil changes to car repairs. Every time I've gotten any service from them, they follow through with great prices and always set accurate expectations with when I can expect my car ready by. I happened to start using here due to not having a regular mechanic because the one I used to use retired and now I plan to stay using Rt. 5 for all I can going forward.

I have been bringing my cars here for years. They are highly professional, very courteous, walk you through every step of the process, and help you to get back on the road in no time. Rt. 5 is the most professional auto body shop i have ever come across. By the way, They are truly honest and upfront about all aspects of repair, pricing and go out of their way to accommodate you.

Brought a tire from my wife’s car to be patched due to a screw. So there’s no confusion it was already off the car and I installed it back on. Mechanic says he’ll just plug it. I hesitated thinking it should be patched and then figured meh good enough it will be fine. I never asked how much but I wished I had. $32.50 the clerk asked me for after my 7 minutes being there. I did not argue and just handed it over the cash. My personal opinion that’s a rip off to plug a tire. Funny thing is I was going to buy a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports off them but now not even interested how much.

I stopped into this place, heading to a meeting, with an unexpected flat tire. They were so accommodating. Changed the tire and had me back on the road in about 15-20 minutes! They ordered a new tire and took care of it the very next day. Great experience and very reasonable!

I was having a near emergency with a borrowed car; leaving work the oil was practically empty and the hood was stuck shut. I pulled in literally one minute before close, desperate for some help before driving 30 miles home to Massachusetts. The gentleman (not sure who) inside helped me out, topped up my oil, charged me a very reasonable price, and gave no indication that I was inconveniencing them by coming in at literally the last minute. Of course I can't speak for the quality or price for repairs, but at least the customer service was absolutely the best I could have asked for.

Been going here coming on three years and had a variety of work done from small to moderate work. Excellent fast service, whomever works on your car will come and talk with you if need be. They always try to accommodate me whether I call a day or a week ahead. Not many places you can go and be in and out for an oil change in less than 30 minutes... Give them a try.

I went here for a belt replacement. In less than an hour they diagnosed it and within 4 hours it was fixed. Very fast service. Their labor charge is a bit higher than other places I've been but the speed and good work made up for it in my opinion.
