My husband and I came up for a weekend getaway and stayed in a cabin. Saturday morning we headed out to breakfast and his truck wasn’t driving right. Turns out his diesel had started to gel and we were stuck praying we made it up each hill until we made it to the nearest gas station. Went to an Exxon and got some additives to add to our truck fuel and it wasn’t working. We called this little shop next door to see if they could help. Owner came from home right away to his shop and helped us get our truck running right with the additive they he says we should use in the future. Sunday morning, we go to leave our Airbnb and our truck won’t start. Dead batteries! We called him again and he was right there to help us out again. We could have had a better experience and are very thankful for his quick turnaround.
They got 2 stars for their flatbed drivers. Otherwise it would be a 1 star review. The guy I spoke with on the phone initially (Dan) was very nice. However, the mechanic is a moron. Dan said they couldn’t change the fuel filter on my diesel van in the parking lot (without even looking at it) so they towed me 45 minutes away. Got to the shop and without even looking under the hood the mechanic (not Dan - don’t recall his name) said the filter from NAPA wouldn’t work and he would have to get it from Mercedes. Told me 2 days and it would arrive Wednesday.
Well…I am a 58 year old woman and by no means a diesel mechanic. I ended up 2 days in a hotel next door due to cold temperatures so I couldn’t sleep in the van. On Tuesday I watched YouTube videos and looked at my fuel filter and the one NAPA had on their website. Same thing. So…I limped it to NAPA, got the filter and a can and got a bit of diesel to prime the filter. I changed it IN THE HOTEL PARKING LOT next door to the shop. This MOBILE DIESEL MECHANIC very well could have changed it on Monday and sent me on my way to NC to see my daughter and grandbabies.
They thought they would scam an old lady. Jokes on them!! I didn’t pay for the tow and they aren’t getting paid for that or to do the filter. They never even called to say the filter arrived. Worst mobile diesel mechanic ever!
If you just need a tow, the 2 young men driving the flatbed are very nice!!
I missed seeing my daughter and grandbabies in NC and just went home after this “mobile diesel mechanic’s” BS.
I don't recommend this place to anyone. My truck's radiator broke. I drove it to their auto repair shop. They asked for $4,000 to replace the radiator. They doubled the labor hours and overcharged me for the radiator. Another truck road service repair came and fixed it in three hours and gave me a lower price for the new radiator. I saved $2,000.
Traveling south with our RV, our Ford F350 Turbo air pipe cracked. We called two other 24/7 diesel mechanics with no reply. These guys were amazing, they answered the phone (on a Sunday) and they were able to find the part we needed and had us back on the road within a couple of hours. Very professional, we would highly recommend them!
Black’s helped get our driver to safety in an extremely prompt and professional manner. Would call him out for any of our truck needs in the Pocono area!
Blew a trailer tire. Found a service area to park. Dan got here in less than 30 mins and threw another tire on there in less than 40 mins. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
We are hauling a super load through NY and had to be ready to pass the DOT inspection. We had an air leak… these guys came out to where we were parked and worked half the night trying to get our airlines sealed up. We needed a valve that is apparently hard to find. They took the time to locate the part for us over Easter weekend. The part delivered and we are up and running ready to move tomorrow morning. Everyone at this shop was very helpful and knowledgeable. They saved us. Can’t thank them enough and definitely recommend them.
Came to this shop and was charged $103.88 for a diagnostic test and labor for a test that wasn’t able to be completed. They never even hooked up to the truck to do the diagnostics stating they were unsure why they were unable to hook up. Avoid this place at all costs. The mechanics are clueless and charge you for 3 seconds of no work. It took longer to enter the efe code then it did them looking over my truck.

Crankcase breather filer, $700(he added core $120) and labor $200, part pickup 200, spare oil $25... and waited 7 hours for only changing filter and I paid $1194. It was almost same as emergency road service. I didn't have to come this far at risk

HIGHWAY ROBBERS. Need to replace Freightliner radiator only and charged $2300 labour which normally would have been around $500-800. And tried to sell radiator for $1900 which is for around $1300 at dealership. So it cost us $3800 to change radiator during this tough time of trucking industry and highway robbers have no mercy. Try to avoid this place.
These guys fixed the fuel pump on my International 9900 after being towed to their shop. It took awhile, but they did a great job at an affordable price. I will asked to be towed there in the future.
I arrived at Tobyhanna State Park with my motorhome at around 6.30 pm, I stopped at the office to get directions of the camp site, but the motor went dead. I tried to start it in vain. I googled and reached out to different places with no luck. When I called Black 84 Diesel, he listened to me patiently and promised to send someone to help. Within 1 hour 2 young men arrived and were very enthusiastic about their work. They straight jumped into action and were able to diagnose the problem and fix it. They were very courteous and friendly. One guy I think his name is Dan said he was the owner's son, was great. Had they not acted, we would have been doomed,stranded within the state park, but unable to reach our campsite. I will recommend them to anyone within the area but they said they do travel far wherever their service is needed.
We were in a real pinch going south with our motor coach breaking down. Joseph owner of Black's diesel services acted quickly . Sent his son and friend to our rescue and! Fair price as well. And on a weekend. It's also was a pleasure to see a couple of young men polite and working in the trades. In our travels, we will be using their services. Had a flat tire on my boat trailer on I-84. They came right out and changed it for me on the side of the highway. Very courteous, hard working Americans. Thank you!!!!!
Had an antifreeze hose leak on my semi truck on 84. Five mins from this location drove there and took me right in. Had me back on the road in about 1 hour. Friendly owner And sons. I consider what I paid fair. Thank you .
definitely not the best price for any can off repair extremely expensive repair. I brought my truck in for an emergency repair it took 2 weeks and they fabricated charges from God knows where to try to squeeze every penny out of my wallet.
Wound up being a bit on the pricey side to replace four trailer tires, but it was an emergency and I had no choice. They took me right in without delay and got me back rolling ASAP. I appreciated their being there.
Always a good quick stop off I-84 but don't expect a great deal for a quick fix. A big truck towing and repair stop out of necessity. Otherwise keep on trucking
Terrible service and a complete ripoff. The Hetsko Commercial tire has a tire for $270 yet wont sell it to us because he sells the tires to this absolutely horrible business. Its highway robbery! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE
