OK, all of us need to get over the shock of what our car is really worth. Everything online is going to over estimate they value of your trade so be ready when you go in with your real car with all its problems and lights on and stuff it’s gonna be about half of what is promised online.
That said if you want to sell your car for a fair price efficiently and w/people who really know what they’re doing —- go to Matt and his group in Peters Township.
Matthew Hess was the consummate professional from the time I first met him attempting to sell my 2015 Escalade and continuing through the process finalization. As I was a first time seller, he was very patient explaining in detail the steps that would occur. As we marched through the process, he guided me and before I knew it I had a check in my hand!! Seems like a well-rehearsed theatrical performance to get you from the initial online offer to a ridiculous final number that's not even worth considering. Went with my son to sell his 9 year old Ford Fusion in immaculation condition (less than 37,000 miles). They offered $9,265 in December but dropped the price to $8,520 when we finally booked the appointment 2-1/2 months later. This was understandable. The area manager who worked with us was incredibly polite and personable, telling us the whole time how he would do everything he could to get us the best price possible. After he inpected the car he came back telling us there was water in the trunk (small puddle in spare tire area cause by trunk lid being unlatched). He said there must be a hole somewhere even though the car has zero rust. He then came up with a laundry list of other things, like a door dent that I still can't find in full sunlight, OBD codes that were cleared when I replaced the battery, and an engine hesitation (turbo lag) that doesn't really exist. This is where he sends the report to the company server for a final price at only $4,000. When we declined he immediatly brought the price to $6,000. As a point of reference the KBB price is $8,316 today. This place is no different from an experience you would receive from any car dealer. This is a beautiful car that I would not hesitate to sell to any friend or relative, so I guess we'll be selling it on Marketplace. Too bad as this could have been a very convenient way to avoid the hassles of selling it on our own. We might try Carvana next just to see what happens.

I would recommend we buy any car to get a fair assessment and honest deal comparable to any other car dealer in the Pittsburgh area, best part is, you’re not pressured into test driving another car! If you’re in a situation where you inherited a car you didn’t want, or, you really wanted a different car but at the time you had to take what you could get, this is the place to get yourself out of a nightmare! Get the cash for the down payment on what you really want; a beach house, boat or in my case, a Jeep! :-)
Process was pretty quick and easy. The only negative was that the price quoted initially was quite a bit higher than the final offer. Nonetheless, the process was pretty straightforward. Every step was thoroughly explained. The people were very nice. Location itself is very barebones.
