Staff was friendly and professional ! Vehicle was serviced in a timely manner as well . Prices r similar to other tire shops in area but staff is knowledgeable on what they have and def recxomend this location to others! Good crew at this pep boys location !
Joey and his stepson went above and beyond for us on Sunday, January 18, 2026. We were out of town and hit a pothole that bent our rim and flattened the tire the night before. We needed to get back to Erie that day. They squeezed us in and did everything they could to get us on the road. Thankfully, the work they did held long enough for us to make it home and order a new wheel.
They were super kind and friendly and didn't give up until they made the repair.

My husband and I recently went there for services after a tire on his work trailer blew and he needed urgent help. Dave was beyond helpful at trying to manage the situation. My husband even said he felt like he was going out of his way to try to figure out the best solution for his problem. They were very patient and helpful. We did not catch the mechanics name that day but he was also. A huge help, aiding in resolving the tire and was even able to “work some magic” and mount a spare. We appreciate both of them very much. We are firm the south hills areas but I would drive to Washington for services after again just from the experience we had. They took a crummy, stressful situation and helped resolved it quickly and smoothly.
First complaint was the ridiculous time I had spent waiting for my vehicle to get pulled in for service after my appointment time had passed. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment scheduled, and they didn't pull my vehicle in until almost 2:00 p.m. after I almost completely lost my mind and complained about their unprofessional service up to that point. I had my vehicle in there to get tires mounted and balanced. A few days after having my vehicle back I took it out on the highway and noticed it had a horrible wobble around 55 to 70 mph. I looked closer at the tires and noticed they did not have the dots on the tires located anywhere near the valve stems, which is important in balancing any tire properly on a rim for a starting point. So I had to call the shop and make another appointment. This time I wasn't going to stay there while they perform the work so I dropped it off the night before. I wasn't going to endure another 4 hours waiting for the vehicle to be completed of work. The day I went to pick it up I asked them what they found wrong with the balancing. The manager said he had to reach out to one of his buddies at another shop and ask them about the dot on the tire lining up with the valve stem theory. I again almost completely lost my mind hearing this from someone who is managing a tire install shop. He then proceeded to tell me I was correct about the procedure. He also told me three of the four tires were way out of balance. Either this shop truly lacks the knowledge, which it seems to have been the case being they didn't know as much as I knew about balancing tires, or they just didn't care about their level of quality. Turns out it was probably 50/50 split. I don't advise anyone to use this shop location unless you have an immense amount of time to wait for your vehicle or you have the knowledge to let the mechanics or manager know how to repair your vehicle properly
Joey was amazing in every way possible. The mechanic who came out to talk to us was polite and patient explaining and answering questions about our car.
This experience was top notch. From the text updates to the courtesy of each person I talked to. They even started my truck for me before I got there so it would be warm (it was super cold outside). This experience was so good that the next time something happens and I need these type of services, I will seek out a Pep Boys.
Quick and painless fix on my wipers ahead of a winter storm. There was great communication and transparency throughout the whole process. Would use again!
Ordered 4 Cooper winter tires over the phone. Tires were delivered last Wednesday and I scheduled an installation appointment for Saturday December 13 2025 at 10AM. Arrived at 9:50 AM. Immediately greeted and was advised to have a seat in the comfortable waiting area. Soon after our Tuscon was taken into the garage. Even though they were shorthanded due to a call off, the 4 tire mount and balance was completed in less than 1 hour. Even placed the all season tires in a plastic tire bag and placed in the rear hatch. All in all very satisfied with the service, and the total cost out the door was exceptional.
Joey Slider helped us out in such a professionally and quick manner when we had a spur of the moment emergency with our tire. He was friendly and helpful.
My vehicle was getting 4 tires. It was ready hours before. A friend stopped to check on it. It was done. When I got there the guy said I was going to call at 6pm. Knowing I work night shift because I said that when I called for appointment. Which they do not take appointments. Drop off only.
There is a good chance this place scammed me. They had to drive my car around a bunch, and when I got it back, my brakes weren't working properly. The problem started happening immediately.
There's no way in hell somebody didn't notice these issues. There's a good chance one of their employees is negligent, or they knowingly withheld information.
On top of that, they then tried to get me to pay another few grand for more fixes, which I said no. The employee who quoted me then followed me outside and offered to do work "on the side". How do I know he didn't over-quote me to get more business for his side-hustle?
This place is pretty sketchy and you can't really trust what they say, I would avoid them.
Do I even have to give a star? The guy at the front desk seemed like a decent person. We were lied to from the beginning and I don't know why we gave this place a second chance. We had pictures clearly showing a nail in the tire where it could be patched. Two hours after our appointment time they told us two different stories about why it couldn't be patched. We asked for them to put the spare on and we would take it home. An hour later we went to the shop and it was still sitting where we had left it that morning .Upon getting it home we found they not only stole the valve stem cap for the tire, they removed the nail without our permission and never informed us. We drove it home nearly flat after having been told they had put air in all the tires but didn't have time to put the spare on. There were no other cars being worked on so it wasn't a matter of bring busy. We were lied to and completely cheated for a big corporate company to try to make easy money.
Don't trust this company.
Scheduled an alignment - went in for the alignment and was told that they were unable to complete the alignment at the scheduled time. Came back at a later time and was told there were no techs available for the alignment. Rather than attempt to reschedule or accommodate, the individuals were rude and condescending. Will never return!
Edit: decided to try and give them another chance for an alignment on my F150; I replaced the front shocks like they had instructed me to do before they would align my truck, I took it back after the front struts and shocks were replaced, and then they told me that they would not align my truck due to my lower ball joints being loose. I asked them how much it would be for them to replace the lower ball joints and do the alignment. They told me the lower ball joints were $144 and the alignment was $130 but with labor it was going to cost me $1200. That is absolutely ridiculous! I told them I would come by and pick up my truck because I was not going to pay $1200 for something that was literally only $270 worth of parts I get there and they charge me $41 for them to tell me they can’t do any work on my Truck!
I will never go back. This was the last chance!
SECOND EDIT: took my truck to west tire to get aligned, there was ZERO play in my lower ball joints. They were able to align my truck WITHOUT issue. Better customer service and better experience as well as a better price!
Pepboys is nothing but a scam to take advantage of people with little or no mechanical knowledge. Yall should be ashamed!
Needed inspection. That went a little sideways, but Wayne, the technician was kind and very helpful explaining what the issue was. Megan, the clerk behind the counter, is amazing. So kind and genuine. I’ll be taking the car back in a few days for the repairs needed and for any future maintenance and repairs on both of our cars.
Just wanted to give a shout out to Meghan at Pep Boys Washington, PA. I called literally 20 different tire shops on a Saturday to find a specialty tire I needed for my trailer. No one had it and I got the typical "don't have it but can order it" answer. I figured, because it's not a common size. Last call was to Pep Boys and Meghan answered. Unfortunately they didn't carry it. I thought that was it. 15 minutes later my phone rings and low and behold, it was Meghan to ask if I'd found my tire yet. She went way above and beyond and found the tire up at their Robinson Run location! Thanks to her my crew and I are able to continue our journey with our equipment and didn't have to incur massive delays. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!
My experience with the Pep Boys in Washington, PA has been absolutely outstanding! From their excellent customer service and extensive knowledge to their fast, efficient work—I couldn’t have asked for more. My family and I came in right before closing, and unlike other companies, they still took the time to help us. I truly appreciate their dedication. Thanks to them, my family and I can now get home safely.
Great service! Pep Boys got me in last second for an inspection, checked out my car, and had me out the door quickly. The staff was friendly and efficient really appreciate them fitting me in on short notice. Highly recommend!
I would give it five stars, but they spent a day trying to figure out why my wipers wouldn't work for state inspection on a Volkswagen. The hood had to be latched and they didn't try that. Overall they did a great job.
The gentleman who I worked with was extremely friendly and professional. The technician who worked on our car saved us a fortune by doing a couple of simple checks that another mechanic missed. Highly recommend the staff at this location!
I absolutely adore this Pep Boys location. I have extreme anxiety surrounding my car breaking down and every time I have gone for service or even to just get my car checked for no reason, they have been so patient and kind. I recently got my tires changed and the staff happily answered all of my questions, even the dumb ones, and also gave me a bunch of pricing options when I was concerned about being able to afford the service. The quality of the actual service is always great as well. I definitely recommend this location, the staff is fantastic and they will take really good care of you!!
My daughter and my three grandchildren were coming back from holidays and needed help with her car. These guys stepped up and gave great service. Taking care of my daughter when I'm 500 miles away in my book is first class. I am so grateful there are great people like this still out there. Thank you very much.

Absolutely terrible experience at Pep Boys! Took my Tahoe in for an inspection, and they claimed I needed all new control arms, quoting me over $4,000 for repairs. That immediately seemed excessive, so I got a second opinion from a reputable local shop. Guess what? They confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with my vehicle.
To make matters worse, the last time I was at Pep Boys, my tire pressure sensor was only malfunctioning on the right side. I chose not to fix it then since I was planning to take it elsewhere for a second opinion. However, after leaving Pep Boys this time, NONE of my tire pressure sensors were reading. I left with a bigger problem than I came in with!
When I walked back in before even leaving the parking lot, I brought this issue up with the assistant manager, who I believe was named Jenifer. Her response? She told me there was nothing she could do because there wasn’t a tech available and offered to check the tire pressure with a gauge. Seriously? That’s not the point. The problem is that my sensors were fine (except two) before I brought it in, and now they’re all messed up. She said I could bring the car back the next day, but after they already had my vehicle for a full day, that was a massive inconvenience. I told her I didn’t want them touching my vehicle again.
This place is an absolute joke. The assistant manager clearly doesn’t know the first thing about vehicles, and the customer care is non-existent. Trying to rip me off for unnecessary repairs and leaving me with new issues is beyond unethical. This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with Pep Boys, but it will definitely be the last. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
I recently had a very frustrating experience at Pep Boys that I need to share. I took my Honda Civic in to get the AC fixed, and during the process, they managed to drill into the brake booster. How do you even damage such a critical part of the car when you're supposed to be working on something entirely different?
To their credit, they did compensate me for the brake booster repair, but the fact that it happened in the first place is unacceptable. This level of carelessness shows a lack of attention to detail and basic competence. While I appreciate the compensation, I’m still left with serious doubts about their ability to handle even routine repairs without causing additional problems.
I’m hesitant to return, and I’ll be advising others to think twice before bringing their cars here.
This place is unbelievable. I bought four new tires here, drove less than 100 miles, the tire disintegrated and they refused to honor the warranty on the tire. You have to be crazy to give them any business. They flat out lie.
