I was just in a car accident with my mother and we were stuck in the ER for hours. We finally got discharged a little after 4pm and tried to make it to the garage on time in order to retrieve a few personal items we really wanted in our possession. We got there at 4:32. I understand that they close at 4:30, but there were two employees there who refused to help. I could even see my car and he wouldn’t let me get the one item I wanted. I wasn’t going to ask to get everything. I know they wanted to go home, but they were just heartless. The employee who approached me was cold, callous, and extremely unkind. His cruelty brought out my bad attitude as well, but it was clearly triggered. He was so needlessly rude to me instead of having the smallest bit of empathy for my situation. I now don’t know when I can go back as I can’t drive and was driven there. I recommend all of you go to another garage if possible if you want to be treated like a human being.
Last year the AC on my 2009 Honda CRV finally quit for good after some front end damage. I took my car to DeWane's. Dave diagnosed the problem ; a burned out compressor, leaky condenser coil and cracked radiator which did not surprise me. I had the car back in a day-and-a-half and at a fair and reasonable price for all the work plus inspection. I have been using the heck out of my AC since then and it's working perfectly. I would recommend DeWane's if you are looking at a big repair. Thanks Dave!

I have been a customer of Dewane's for 30 years+ Always excellent service. Today Matt came thru again. Had a guest in town for the weekend who blew out a tire late Sunday with no spare . Great news is new tires are being put on today.

I stopped here to ask about a check engine light that came on. They were so nice and I read their reviews, and saw that it was a multi generational business. So I came back to them from Philadelphia because they seemed trustworthy. They gave me good advice about my car, and I will definitely go back to them. I already gave my son , who lives in Schwenksville, their number for future use . Thank you.
Brought car in for inspection and check-over for the following day. Polite and knowledgeable and said my car would be worked on and they would contact me when finished or if anything needed to be done. The garage is a family owned and a three generation business. Would recommend as they are good in their work and honest.
Edit: My original review somehow got corrupted/misfiled, and was actually applied to a different tow company with the same name, based out of Tuscaloosa. No idea how that happened considering I post my reviews when prompted by Google, which uses my phone's GPS.
My car was totalled and Dwayne's was the towing company that showed up to tow my car. This was during 4th of July weekend and even though it was the holidays, I was still able to get in touch with someone when I called in to get information regarding my vehicle. Everybody was extremely polite and professional and I would definitely recommend them to anybody I need of their services.
Very Helpful. Went out of his way to help. After dealing with the stealership and having them "fix" the problem after 3 months (which was no fix at all and wasted my money); and taking the car to another auto repair place (the said they replaced all the coils over plugs) - but no fix; Don diagnosed the issue and replaced the coil over plugs that the other said they did but did not do.
I am thankful even after totaling my car that it was towed here. I loved the family dynamic and the kindness I received. Sometimes it takes a bad situation to realize how hard people work and what they deal with and see on a regular basis. It’s not easy getting a banged up car on a truck and cleaning up a mess. I’d guess it’s not an easy job altogether, but especially when the owner didn’t make it and their car is in their lot.
I have had dozens of great experiences with DeWane's Garage. I had a Honda Fit for many years that they took incredible care of, and they've always treated me fairly.
As long as I live in the area they are the only garage I will go to.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Less than five mile tow - $195. Received our car at 11 pm on a Thursday, closed Saturday and Sunday and charged us for 6 days of storage because their driver never provided our contract information. When I called to discuss the issue, the office manager was rude and severely lacking customer service skills, telling me it was their word against mine. Also advised that if I had collision insurance on my 1999 Lexus, towing and storage would have been covered by my insurance company. I don't know if it really matters if it's the individual or the insurance company being overcharged but okay. Then advised that I needed to come get the vehicle because they do not serve Lexus. It needed a battery. I guess their mechanics aren't capable of putting in a battery. It's okay though, we towed it to Pep Boys, had a new battery and two new tires on it the same day. Tow to Pep Boys? $65. There are plenty of better options for mechanics in the area.
Yes, this is my third review on the third platform. If I can find more, I will leave more. Thank you for your response though. It just displays the lack of professionalism to which I referred. I use my customer service training at work, I spend less time having to defend my business to accurately poor reviews. Never once did I say we refused to take any card from the police officer. I said our information was provided to your driver and your driver said your company would contact my daughter. Once again, it was not an accident, it was a dead battery. I was very polite on the phone until I was told "It's your word against ours". Three platforms is hardly a smear campaign. Different people check different platforms for business reviews.
I have been dealing with Dewane's Garage for almost twenty years and highly recommend them for automotive repairs. Wendy, Denny, and the team go way above expectations.
I have nothing but good dealing with DeWayne's Garage. I have had minor repairs and inspections done hear more than a dozen times and always was serviced in a timely and professional manner. Those reviews with tough ratings sound like there were other issues involved in the mix, tragic or otherwise. I will continue to deal with DeWayne's for my automotive needs.
Had a very similar experience to that of Steve. Everyone was kind to me, even on the phone, and Denny himself helped me get the plate off of my totaled car.
My wife's car was sandwiched in a 3 car collision; Thankfully, there were no injuries! After I met the insurance adjuster and was given permission to get things from the totaled car, DeWane's was very friendly and accommodating in allowing me to get whatever personal effects we had.
I can't believe the rude "keyboard warriors" giving this guy a 1 star review for doing his job.
I had car accident while in PA on my way back to NY . I come across this place and they went extra mile to help me. Everything was done the way we discussed on the phone. They also lowered the price for the service. They are willing to work things out. When everything was in order they sent all paperwork and plates by mail back to me.
Horrible. My daughter was in an accident He charged me for winching my car (on top of several other ridiculous fee) that was on the road. Any tow truck in the country could have put it directly on a flat bed. But he had the wrong equipment and made me pay for his mistake. Money hungry scam artist. Avoid at all cost.
Nothing like a guy that will kick you in the teeth when you are down.

Dewane's Garage doesn't even deserve a "Poor-Fair" review. The owner of this garage is a callous and obnoxious man. He is money-hungry and very unwilling to help. CHOOSE ANOTHER GARAGE!
My son died in a car accident and dewane towed the totaled car to their Lot. They won't let me in their lot to get any keepsak/information I may need to burry him. Heartless.
