I visited couple times for state inspection and wheels alignment. They did very good job. These gentlemen working there are very nice. Great job and fantastic people! 👍🏻

I bought the extended protection for the tires and only had the tires a couple of months before both front tires blew a week apart and needed replacement. This location charged about $50 more to replace the front left tire than another location charged me for the right front tire. It took 2 months of emails to get a reply and they said the difference was because of tread depth which is nonsense because my car just passed inspection and the tires are wearing evenly. Don't ever visit pep boys they are a dying chain anyways

Dear Pep Boys Management, I am writing to provide feedback on my recent service visit. While the quality of the oil change itself was satisfactory, the scheduling and communication were very poor. I scheduled a 9:00 AM appointment for Sunday and dropped my vehicle off on Saturday evening as instructed. Although I received a message at 7:00 AM on Sunday stating that my service would begin shortly, the car was not ready when I followed up at noon. I was then informed that there were sixteen 9:00 AM appointments and service was handled on a first-come, first-served basis. When I asked if there were sixteen technicians available to handle those slots, I was told there were not. I expected to have my vehicle back by noon, but the service was not completed until almost 2:00 PM. This lack of proper scheduling and failure to set clear expectations left me in a difficult position. I hope you will review your appointment process to ensure better communication and reliability for future customers.

When I called at 9:30am about the service (I had a nail in my tire) they said it wouldn't take long as they were not busy yet. We went over immediately. When we got there they had us waiting about an hour and still hadn't taken the car into the garage to look at it. I asked for an update and was told that he would check. He left, came back, and ignored me. We were using the app as a key and were waiting so long, but I had to go back to work, so my wife and I drove back home, got the physical key, and drove back before they even realized we were gone. We went back home so I could work. At 1pm, I got an update through the text message system saying the car was done and a overview of our car health (which we didn't want or ask for and wasn't verbally told about beforehand), but no pictures of the tire with the nail. All it said was that the tire integrity was damaged. I called and was told they were going to call me but had to check a customer in and they'd call me back. 15 mins later I called again. I was told I needed a new tire. When I asked why, they said the "interior of my tire was crumbling". That they couldn't plug or patch the nail hole. I said there's no way. They said that they would not repair the tire and I could come look at it. Meanwhile, they also said I needed an alignment and new brakes. This is where I knew they were just trying to get money. See, we just had the car inspected (at the dealer, which are known to have you do anything and everything they can) and they pulled all the tires and looked at everything and I just had an alignment done three months ago. Also, it's an electric car and has one pedal drive/regenerative breaking, which means the brakes don't wear the same or as fast as typical cars. After this phone conversation they finally updated the report with pictures of the damaged tire. The one picture looked like they sprinkled brake dust in there (it was definitely not rubber) and the other picture showed light scaling (but within acceptable range) not where the nail was. When we went to pick the car up, they tired to scare me into still getting it replaced even though "it's really weird that there's only an issue on that spot on the tire" after I said I saw the light scaling, but it shouldn't be an issue. Then another guy at the other register tried to tell me my tire was going to blow out if I got it plugged. Meanwhile, I looked at my car app and realized the car was parked in the lot still on and unlocked!! I said something and my wife went to check and did indeed have to turn the car off. When I said something about it, the guy said "he guesses they don't know how to turn it off". What?! It's the same way you turn it on, the button, like most cars. Shouldn't someone evaluating my car know how to turn the car on and off? They saw two women and thought they could get one over on us. Meanwhile, I am not stupid and know how cars and tires work. I know that my tires have about 10,000 miles left on the life of them. I know at that point you can't replace just one or it can mess up how your car sits, wears, is aligned. You'd need at least two new so the back sits the same, if not four (especially on an AWD car). I just wanted to have my tire plugged or patched quick because I didn't want to drive to my dad or personal mechanic to have them do it, this place was closer. So I had to go get it plugged somewhere else anyway and days later it is just fine. This place is a joke.

Brought in my car tonight for a tire change and soon as I went out to my car there is bumps and a scratch that was never there before. I showed Dave who then proceeded to point out other small old scratches on the bumper. The scratch and bumps is consistent with contact from a belt, tool, or body while leaning over the engine bay during service. That’s factual! Davd pointing to “other old small scratches” doesn’t defeat this Older scratches: Don’t dictate new damage Don’t excuse additional damage Don’t explain a fresh, localized mark in a service zone See the grey marking around the scratch indicating a fresh scratch on the picture along with the bumps likely from the mechanic dropping his tool. Will remove this review once this has been resolved. I want to file an incident report and Dave said he will check the cameras and I doubt they will ever admit to it. I saw the mechanic Dwayne and no matter how many times I called out his name to ask him about the scratch he proceeded to keep walking and ignore me. Update 12/22 8:57pm Just spoke with Dave who refuses to do an incident report because he says it will be a waste of his time. I don't recommend this place at all and plan to take legal action. Please preserve any and all video footage, photographs, and records related to my vehicle and its service on 12/22, including service bay footage and exterior cameras.

Scheduled 2 cars to get done, one at 10 which they said would get done by 11:30 at the latest and then drop off the next one. We return at 11:30 and the care wasn’t touched. They said that car 1 may get done the same day or the next day since they overbooked and they car 2 will have to be rescheduled

Dave was helpful throughout the entire experience. Provided great service, recommendations and knowledge for my tire change and ensuring I knew anything that may be upcoming to keep my car running perfectly. Will be returning for sure! Place never fails me and great customer service!!

Dave is an awesome Service Manager and his team were easy to work with. They inform you of what your car needs and make it easy to understand. As long as I live in Collegeville I will not go to any other service center for needs for my jeep.

Had to get my thermostat assembly replaced which was $1240. I usually go to the dealership but PepBoys was much cheaper and I was happy with the customer service. They stayed late to finish the job. Told me about credit card offer to get 10% off and 0% interest for 6 months. Will definitely go back!

Tried to book twice for a state inspection. First was going to drop the car at 2pm and was told they didn't know if was going to be ready same day. Then I rescheduled for next morning at 9am. Got there and they said they had no idea when it would be ready (and that could be end of day most likely) because they had "15 inspections that day", even though at 9am I was the only one there... . Well, why do you do appointments then? I went to another shop and did in the same hour. Never again. It needs organization there.

Dave was so helpful! He talked to me on the phone and was willing to look at my car and diagnose the problem within a hour and it was fixed promptly. I highly recommend Dave and his team. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Okay experience until it wasn’t… To start, I submitted payment for my appointment with a Pepboys credit card. I then arrived for my appointment, assuming I had paid since I had a receipt for the service. When I went back 1h45m later(which I was never updated or notified of progress or completion) I was then told that I needed to pay again. Someone was gifting this to me and was not present at the time and I wasn’t worried since I had a receipt and had already paid. They then said currently they are not taking contactless payments due to the holidays. I ended up having to pay which I luckily had enough money for or I’d be screwed and left without a car and my 1yr and a half old daughter with no car. After I got back into my car I double checked and the Pepboys site said paying with contactless payment is no problem and to just call the store. During most of this two of the three gentlemen in the front were being catty with one another as well, unprofessional. I will never be taking my car back and will ensure others don’t as well. Terrible overall experience and should have told me this information up front. I also made sure the employees at the advanced auto are aware of what happened and to make sure any customers they have do not go there either. Thank you.

Quick, efficient, and friendly service! We were in a pinch the night before leaving for a family vacation. The staff here were kind enough to get us in last minute to repair a tire. One less thing to worry about before vacation! These guys are great and would highly recommend.

I would give this Pep Boys location a negative five stars if possible. The attendant did not assist at all and instead made unnecessary and unhelpful remarks. The store was still open for another 30 minutes, yet he told me he could not sell or install a tire because he claimed he was working alone. However, as soon as he said that, I saw another employee walking to a vehicle he was already working on. The attendant at the desk was drinking coffee and watching videos on his phone instead of helping customers. I would never recommend this location. Pep Boys already has a less than great reputation, and this experience only made it worse for me.

My experience coming to Collegeville Pep Boys was easy from scheduling finding valuable information right from the start on their website! For pricing and details of the service as well as coupons. When I arrived ,I was greeted and taken care of through the entire process from start to finish! Dave and Tom were knowledgeable and helpful The mechanics did a great job 👏! I had new tires put on my car. Service was great, but I think they should clean your new tires after job is completed. When my car was returned to me the tires were dirty and looked old, they didn't look like new tires. I wish I would have taken a pic to post. They looked great after I washed them and put some tire-shine on them.

Dave was a great help! He helped get me scheduled and arranged things ahead of time so all I had to do was drop of my car and go about my day! He gave me great information on what my car needs next. I didn't feel any pressure. Instead, he helped me prioritize the next steps and I felt well prepared. He kept me updated on my State Inspection and helped me gather some info to help me call my insurance company about a windshield repair I need. Fantastic experience, trust worthy, and informative - I'll be back!

Great experience. Been having issues with my battery. Called Pep Boys late in afternoon. Dave said if I brought it in ASAP he could have it back to me by 6. Dave was awesome. Great customer service. I was in and out. Highly recommend this Pep Boys.

the staff at pep boys in collegeville were absolutely amazing.. timely , friendly and ever so helpful. i recognize that these employees work hard diligently and cohesivel Dave is great !! Dave went above and beyond to get me to my work while my car was in the shop. he is always on top of things and seems to want the best delivery of customer service. a shout out to Joe. great guy. great service personnel and seems very knowledgeable on cars the mechanics of the car etc. great team you have in collegeville maria Z
