This was a very nice winery that we visited. Had horses to watch while sampling wine and sitting out talking. Had a very cute shop inside with home made lavender honey which im addicted too. Will def be back again.
Happened to be among the last customers of the season, which made us grateful for good timing. Hung w one of the owners, who was generous w time, conversation, and some extra sips.
Im a big, bold, dry red fan, which is hard to find in PA...and theirs may be the best we've found.
So, we'll be back in the spring!
We stopped by today to do a tasting and to try to get some information for a private event. The private event asking discussion didn’t even make it past our tasting. The older woman Trudy was so rude and not very personable person we decided to do our tasting and not even bother to gather information for our event. First impressions are always the key.
Worth the trip to Harrisburg. Lovely little vineyard. Chill, relaxing and you can bring food and pair it with their homemade cheddars and other tasties especially their wine. ? compared to the reviews of Royal this is the preferred place. Thank me later.
We stumbled upon this winery by accident and glad we did. The wine tasted great and was good quality. The bottles are labeled nicely. The people working there were all kind and professional.
The landscape is beautiful and there was good live entertainment. Will definitely go again!
Stopped just to get a bottle to go. Saw a trailer selling slushies out front, so we just did that. They didn't sell then to go, so we had to sit. There was ample outdoor seating and plenty of parking. I did finally go into the store. It is small, but clean, friendly, and convenient. The bathroom was clean. The slushies were good. They had 2 flavors. I really need to go back to try everything they offer.
Great place with a variety of drinks and, of course, wine. Have live music and an open mic with some really talented musicians. Would recommend it to to anyone looking for a laid-back family and dog friendly Vinyard.
Excellent vineyard. Food trucks are amazing. Large wine selection, and good beer selection too. Live music on the covered outdoor seating area. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable.
Had a wonderful evening at the vineyard, wine tasting & enjoying a live band! The staff was very helpful in choosing a charcuterie board & flights for us to try! It was definitely a great experience & if I’m back there would definitely do it again! I highly recommend this vineyard!
Idealistic outdoor atmosphere!!!!! Wine is wonderful and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Live music is a bonus while relaxing and enjoying your wine. Great place for meeting friends or having a special event!
Very nice outdoor area to listen to music. Covered space and open air available. Attentive staff and owner. We like dry whites but only found the Vidal Blanc to be to our liking. They have several sweet wines and semi sweet plus ciders. They also have several excellent PA beers to choose.
Stopped here on a whim and were so glad we did! Great wine, great atmosphere, good live music & friendly horses for the kids to pet. How could you ask for more?! Will be back again soon!
Cassel Vineyards is such a cute family vineyard with great wines. The ambiance is beautiful in the summer and autumn. You can watch the horses grazing, walk through the huge vineyard and admire the long rows of grapes, and enjoy the live music and food trucks on Friday and Saturday evenings. If it’s your first time, their wine tasting is a nice way to find a wine you like, and you get to keep a custom Cassel Vineyards wine glass!
We visited recently with our friends. Beautiful vineyards and lovely staffs, they helped us to find the best wine bottles. There was live music, so many people were sitting there and enjoying it . We saw horses and peacocks there.
When you are in PA must visit there.
It’s hard to put into words what a wonderful place Cassel Vineyards is! The place is gorgeous. How many wineries can you go to and look at beautiful horses grazing in a field? It’s a one of a kind place???
Lovely setting with green grass, bordered by horses and grape vines. Live music on a Sunday courtesy of open mic. The wine was flavorful and modestly priced. Options available as well for non-wine drinkers with several craft beers from Mount Gretna. We will definitely be back to enjoy a Friday night with one of the weekly live bands. Owners were on-site and very helpful and suggestive.
What a great winery! We came here for a short day trip and I was blown away by the different wines available. Despite my rather sweet-favoring palate, the staff found multiple wines to satisfy that sweet tooth, as well as to expand my boundaries with not-so-sweet wines that I never knew I would enjoy! The staff was super kind and extremely knowledgeable. The environment was relaxed. And we even walked up and down the vineyard and met the horses they have on the farm! The wine tasting was incredibly well-priced. We each tasted 5 wines for $10, and we got to keep our glasses afterwards as well! Overall, this was a fantastic experience.
The vineyard is absolutely wonderful. Nicely tucked away and quiet with horses near by. The wine is delicious. I find a new wine to like every time I’m here! And they have many award winning wines. The employees are nice. There’s nothing not to like.
I truly enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the horses grazing and having a nice glass of wine. The tasting offered here is inexpensive and we got the glass to bring home. The local wines made here are inexpensive and I bought a few bottles. Nice atmosphere and people. Recommend if you are in this region to visit this small local vineyard.
Beautiful grounds, you are sitting near the grape vines and they have the rows labelled so u know what wine those particular grapes are being grown for, horses in the meadows on the property, so peaceful, very nice staff and good wine. Really love their chocolate port wine.
Fantastic local spot. No frills, but just lovely. People bring blankets and camp chairs and settle in with a view of the vines—and the peacocks! On Saturday night there was a food truck and live music under the pavilion. Very peaceful, family atmosphere.
Cassel is a side gig for the owners, I heard, and they make and package their own cider, shown below. The Apple Pie is quite sweet and the Black Cherry is tart and crisp. As of mid 8/2020, they were out of the Citrus flavor.
As far as I can tell, the wines are solid and there is a nice selection. I went home with a bottle of the Traminette. Super happy with this find!
Family owned vineyard making excellent wines. Very friendly staff who will guide you through their selection to find the wine that is right for you. Large selection of wine from sweet to dry. Beautiful setting amid farms and horse pastures
We went wine tasting over the weekend. I wish I knew the gentleman's name who served us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We had a great time and ended up leaving with a spiced wine kit. Prices were right on line and I enjoyed the play-on titles with horse racing. I thought it was quite fun. Beautiful location will return.
