This business is outstanding! They are fast, reliable and very trustworthy! I initially took my food truck there, but will now take my personal vehicles as well. Scrappy’s is one of the very few places in Lower Bucks County that does wheel well repairs. For this, I mean cutting out the rusted area of the wheel well; replacing it with metal. Most places won’t do this type of repair. I got a great price for them to do mine.
Dont really leave negative reviews unless i have no other choice. I took my truck in for what i thought was an injectors issue in May. Scrappys scanned my truck and stated i need 2 injectors. We agreed to get it fixed. After months of being out of service waiting for the repairs to be done, they finally reached out to me at the end of October (5 months later). Now they are saying i need $31,595.00 (yes 31k) worth of repairs. They said i need a new motor, after having my truck for over 5 months. I almost had a heart attack. I took my truck to a different shop and it turned out that my rod was a loose. The second mechanic put it back in and tighten the bolt and cleaned the egr. Truck is running 100% and the repairs were under $1300. I can't believe scrappys tried to charge me almost 32k dollars for a job that only cost me under $1300. I will never recommend this place. I also have the invoice from Scrappy and i have the invoice from the second mechanic that only charged me the$1300. I
Like that old saying..."seeing is believing " well it's true ,Scrappy's have came through for me, I was stranded on Highway 278E at 02:30am 70miles away from home with nowhere to turn I called up, got towed was able to sleep on the premises in my car, had my car fixed early the next day all for an unbelievable down to earth price and got served coffee.🎂..👍awesome services. I never had a breakdown miles and miles away from home. My wife broke down (loose wheel lugs - thanks Faulkner VW) on Rt 1. I spoke to two people over the phone and both were very nice and patient. They picked her up and got her back on the road to work. My wife said everyone treated her very well and was just as impressed. Just wanted to let the next person know as they're scrolling through "tow trucks near me" to use these guys. It's a no-brainer! Thanks Scrappy's!!!!!
They were not able to fix my car after an accident because of staff shortage. They highly recommended another shop, however, they offered to go and get my car and delivered it to the shop that they suggested. I tell you, these people went above and beyond with their service. I highly recommend them for any of your car service needs.
Our car was towed to Scrappy's when it broke down on the side of the road. After reading their reviews, decided to take a chance and have them do the repair. They were accurate in diagnosing the problem as a bad fuel pump and replaced it. Fair pricing and very nice.
My review should be the most important on all of scrappy’s reviews ever. The owner Gary is one of the few left of his kind. He is true to his word and he does things right. They have custom built two trucks for me and done work on another. He’s not my main mechanic and I brought it back to my main mechanic and he said that on a 10-year-old truck I had Gary Build for me I might possibly have an issue in the next three or four years. Gary called me to make sure I was happy and my mechanic was happy with the truck that he created for me and without hesitation he had me bring it back in so he could go the extra mile and replace a radiator that only had slight signs of a possible issue on a 10-year-old truck. People come from miles around to have Gary do work for them. I’m one of the younger people who own tree service so you won’t see many reviews from the other people that spend very large amounts of money at scrappy‘s auto but he is by far the best at what he does. I come back to Gary’s because I like the old ways. I like honesty integrity and moral values.
Absolutely terrible service. I called requesting a tow mentioning I spoke to someone that worked there separately & they said that Scrappys could help me with what I needed. They quoted me $150 because their hourly rate was $75. I told them that the distance I had to go was not going to take longer than an hour and he told me it absolutely was (I’ve also done this drive multiple times) As he started debating with me and telling me that he didn’t care who I knew... if it was the President of the United States... I told him he was being incredibly rude to me and I simply said that I spoke to someone who said you could help me. When I said they were being rude they said “Oh am I? You can call somebody else” I WILL NOT EVER call this place again. I had a bad experience here before and decided to give it another shot. Nope. Worst towing company.
Love this place. They always get the job done quick and prices are reasonable especially for a commercial vehicle!!!! Office staff is friendly and I just love Brian. He makes me feel comfortable when we are discussing our truck concerns.... customer for life
Not only do they have a well-trained staff full of plenty of mechanic experts, they are friendly courteous and keep you well informed of your vehicle's condition. I learned more about preventive maintenance on my vehicles than I have ever from any other mechanic. They service all 6 of my vehicles for my business and personal and if I had more vehicles I would certainly bring them there. I recommend them above all other mechanic shops in the area, and trust me I've been to them all in my business needs. They are honest about the time that it will take for them to complete the service and they don't surprise you with the bill at check out. Great place, great people, great atmosphere, great experience!!!
My truck was hit about a month and a half ago. We are a privately owned trucking company that runs local loads and Scrappys was highly recommended by fellow truckers.
Our owner took the truck in to be looked at a month and a half ago.
We called every few days for that month and a half. At one point we were asked what was the probability of them getting the job, and we advised them as highly recommended as they were there was no doubt they would be doing the repairs.
We were given multiple dates on when the estimate would be ready... And still received nothing. Our owner even stopped in and assured them that they would be getting the job. But the business that caused the accident wanted a few esitimates to see how much we would be reimbursed. Well this morning after a month and a half I called and got "Yeah sorry were not gonna be able to do it... Its too time consuming" well thanks soooo much.... I only gave one star to show this review... TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!
My grandfather, my father, myself and now my son has taken, currently taking our vehicles to Scrappy's for service. It's a great feeling knowing that my son will receive the same awesome service his 'great-grandfather' received. And I don't have to worry about him being ripped off.
I have been on a 4 year search for the perfect used medium-duty low chassis cab-over truck under $15,000.00. I may go to my grave still searching.
But, I have also been on a quest for old-time service, commitment, ethics, value, and regard for the customer. I will not go to my grave still searching.
Scrappy the Elder, Scrappy the Son, and, it would seem to me, all Scrappy the employees, were honest, direct, fair, and helpful. I visited multiple times, and purchased nothing (reference opening sentence).
I have, at least once, been led on guided tours to exit signs at other "Service-oriented" establishments, (for wasting an employee's time(!)), while I was on a fact-finding mission.
My fact-finding missions to Scrappy's Auto Service were frequent , productive, and (I would hope) mutually pleasant, because at no time did I feel anything other than a company-wide desire to provide answers to questions, solutions to concerns, and suggestions to explore possible options (other than leaving).
The premises were clean, organized, and in good repair. And the customers I spoke with left me feeling confident that Scrappy's reputation and credentials may exist long after I have purchased the elusive 15th truck!
