Prices are OK. Books are $0.99 for paperbacks and $1.99 for hardbacks. DVDs/CDs are $1.99 for each disc. So if you find a box set that contains 8 discs they want $16 for it. Other than that pricing is a little high but somewhat reasonable.

Before I would have rated this store 5 stars. However in the last few weeks the prices have went through the roof. Things that were normally a great deal are now on par with retail prices. It's disappointing, especially when you take into account that the inventory is donated. Do yourself a favor and if you go to this store research the prices before you purchase. *This is an edit to a review posted a year ago. It seems as if they have not gotten better with their pricing but have gotten significantly worse. It is almost comical how much money they want for things. The only thing that is worth purchasing in here is when they have $0.99 tags. Otherwise more often than not you can get them new cheaper. For instance I will add two pictures that I took today. One is a stormtrooper they want $15 for. I understand that some of these action figures can be worth a large sum of money this one is not and it has dirt on its face. They also have a grab bag of old beat up letter blocks it is not even the full set It is eight of them for $6. I understand there is overhead to running a store and doing the work that they do And at times that may be difficult. But it becomes impossible to do that when you price your items so comically high that customers do not come there anymore. I know I will get a generic response about how it cost money to run a store and they will certainly get with the management but there has been plenty reviews on this store about prices being absolutely out of control and nothing has been done so I won't hold my breath.*

The ONLY reason I'm not giving a 5 star is I HATE the way they sort clothes, by color and not size. I don't want to go thru ALL the clothing, just what will fit me. Other than that, I would shop there much more!

Well organized and friendly staff. I was offered assistance caring a odd shaped item and enjoyed conversation when I asked about items and they also asked.

It's difficult for me to give this store a negative review, but I'm forced to question whether the place is in line with its stated purpose. The prices here are out-of-touch in an area that can't absorb another financial burden. I understand that running something like this takes overhead, but if a thrift shop can't function as a net benefit to the area it's attempting to serve, then it isn't really a thrift shop, is it? If you can't run it for cheap, scale it down. By passing your apparently non-thrifty operating costs onto the local consumer, you are actually CAUSING an inflationary reaction in the local perception of second-hand goods. Take a cue from all those modest little church-based thrift stores that sit along the outskirts, and downsize your financial expectations. Either do this or leave, because repressed areas like these are already stocked up on over-fed corporate vultures. Maybe the rent at your location is just too high for a second-hand shop? You cannot expect to set eBay-level prices in a market that's intentionally avoiding such services because of all the associated fees and operating costs. The fact that your store (literally) features items of used clothing priced well above $100 is a strong indicator that the management either has unrealistic expectations of its market or is misusing its resources. Even IF you are attempting to use the capital acquired by this store to re-invest into the very community from which it is being taken, I doubt that the affect will ever offset the harm high prices inflict. With respect, the road to ruin is paved with good intentions, and charity gets delivered only by a leaky bucket. Management, please ask yourself how much of a service you are providing to the people who shop here. And if I am misunderstanding something about the nuance of your enterprise, which I truly hope I am, then I apologize for my naive criticism. Perhaps there is a hidden good that I can't see. But to the impoverished customer who's here hunting for some small bargain luxury to offset the struggle of their weekly grind, is it fair to ask profit-level numbers? Maybe you could sell those $100 shirts online, and mine the high operating costs from elsewhere; then perhaps the media on your shelves could be sold at a price commensurate with the local flea-market, which somehow manages to beat yours by 200%.

Love the store, but please stop putting staples in the clothing. I've seen some beautiful clothing ruined by multiple staples thru the delicate material. Some are placed on the tags carefully, but many are stapled directly on the clothing, leaving holes no matter how carefully you remove them. ):

Bought a flat screen tv, when asked, they said they check them before putting them out. TV had 2 big spots on the screen when I got it home and plugged it in. Took it back with my receipt, wouldn't refund my money or even at least give me store credit. I regret not checking it at the store ?

First time here and I didn't find what I was looking for. Why then 5 stars? This place was not only the cleanest and best organized of any thrift store I have ever been in but even better than most expensive new retail stores I have been in. And when I went to leave after buying nothing both cashiers offered a pleasant goodbye. If I owned a store near herei would hire their entire staff away because this was the best retail store I have been in over 30 years.

I’d give it 0 stars if I could mom with a toddler here. Toddler was cranky as I was trying to shop for something to wear on a job interview. I suffer from sever anxiety so the toddler was already setting me in a spiral. I was trying to entertain her by letting her put my phone in my pocket and taking it out. I was wearing leggings so my phone was the only thing that fit obviously. I was trying to find a nice blazer and blouse to wear so I assure you neither of which was going to fit in my tiny pocket in my leggings. The security guard kept fallowing me around. So the anxiety attack that I was already having skyrocketed. I lost it because I unfortunately don’t just have shut down episodes I have blow up episodes I grabbed my daughter yelling at her as I ran out the door. Instead of walking up to me and asking if I were ok which was obvious I wasn’t two things could have happened. 1 he would have seen my pocket had only my iPhone and the wallet that was attached and he might have been able to deescalate the situation. Neither of which happened. He only made it worse. I assure you I will be telling everyone I can and I will never shop at the store again. Train your people better

My most recent experience is noticing too many items stained; poor quality for the price. Noticed many name-brand items priced higher. Women's clothing used to be well-organized but seems there's no rhyme or reason to this organization. Previously I had purchased a glass dish with the lid taped on. Got it home removed the tape & dish was cracked. Be sure to double check your items.

They do not organize clothes by size. So it takes forever trying to find something. They also had incredible spiderwebs on the ceiling above the fitting rooms, otherwise clean store.

Disgustingly over priced. They've started this new thing where they have new " designer" items and they are like $60-$80. NOBODY WHO IS SHOPPING HERE HAS THAT KIND OF MONEY!! A single pair of ugly heels for $70-$80?? Y'all are worse than buying stuff new. It's funny too bc they have the same stuff every time I go in no matter how long it's been because NOBODY is buying them. Everything has been marked up. No point in stopping here anymore. No longer affordable might as well buy new stuff for cheaper.?♀️ This used to be the place to go for nice second hand affordable clothing but no longer. They have become greedy. Hope you guys get a wakeup call and start pricing things affordably for people in need.

Everything is color coded. It's great. The cashier was also very pleasant. We got many name brand items.

This place is huge. It's very organized (color coordinated) so it's easy to find the color shirt you want without spending an hour digging. A person can find all kinds of treasures here, from dishes, to bakeware, to sofas, tv stands, forks, books, pictures, and tons of clothes/shoes. Men and women's clothes are abundant. Most stuff is really affordable especially if you buy the specific tag color of the day.

Prices are high for donated used items. I saw items that were from the dollar tree priced at 4.99. I haven't been there in over a year bc of this, stopped today just to see if things have changed... they are worse. Smh

I don’t shop in thrift stores very often, but this is definitely a good store to shop! Everything is organized and neat (tee shirts, dress shirts, dresses, jeans, shoes, purses, home decor, furniture). They have every rack color coordinated and I believe sized. I have found some of the absolute best deals...Nike, Under Armor, Ralph Lauren, Sketchers, Nine West... plus ALOT more. They have a sale every day where something with a specific color tag is half off. Plus the quality is very good if not excellent. They don’t put something out if it’s stained or really looks dingy like some other familiar stores. I could spend all day looking. Plus, their staff is extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this store for anyone!! Even if ur not a big thrift store shopper, I promise you will be after going here. ⭐️⭐️??????

I found multiple items with dollar store tags marked way up over a dollar. I found a very used dog crate that was more expensive than if I bought it brand new on Amazon and had it shipped to my house for free. None of the clothes are organized by size so looking through for myself and my kids was stressful and time consuming and we didn't find anything. Dollar General has better prices on clothes and is more organized. I didn't buy anything and I wont be back. This experience just cemented in my love of Amazon. There were people in the store we had to avoid because they had an unruly non service dog that was a huge pitbull that was allowed. What a joke of a store.

I really appreciate the way the store is organized. I look for color first then for size and that's how they are set up. And today was not only senior discount but 50% on select tags, so major score all around!

Be warned! If you have items that are discounted or you qualify for discount make sure the cashier knows. I was there yesterday and had several things, three of which were the discounted color. I was charged full price. When I realized and called I was told "too bad". No apologies just an excuse the cashier was new. Oh well, shame on me.

Prices too high for thrift store just like altoona goodwill. This place, the day I visited, had a lot of chipped and broken items. Many items should have been thrown away. When I helped the thrift store I worked at I would scan through the store many times for broken or chipped items..and if I saw something that wasn't selling the price would reduced immediately so it wouldn't take up space on our shelves. The staff was friendly though.

The pruces are a bit on the high side compared to other thrift store. 1 of the employees glared dirty looks at me as she walked past me. But the lady who checked me out was very nice..

The floors were absolutely filthy, I was going to offer to mop them for free. The clothes were okay, but all the furniture was extremely dusty. But seriously, there's no excuse for the way those floors were; there was dirt, spilled liquid, and just unknown things everywhere. I should have taken a photo, but I was too busy helping my grandma find pants. The workers were nice, and the atmosphere was friendly, but I don't believe I'll ever shop there for myself.

Everyone is extremely helpful, and every time I come the store is very well organized . Always excited to find the new buys. This is a great store that has exceeded it's potential,!!

Used to love the store, but prices have skyrocketed in the past months. They almost want full retail on many items. They also have been putting out items such as half full lotions and stained furniture. Need to go back to the basics!

So many clothes to look at. What a great selection of clothes and very reasonably priced. Wednesdays they offer half off on all tags besides one color, which they post on a board so you see it when you first walk through the doors. Definitely a place to go shopping. Family friendly environment!

I live out of state and come to this store everytime I visit my family here. So honestly I'd give a 5 star review if not for this one problem that drives me crazy. This salvation army uses staples to attach their price tags, but instead of putting it on the actual tag of the shirt or in the seam of the neck- they put it in the back of the item! I've purchased many clothes which are ruined by the hole from the staple and I've passed up many items because of the issue. Be careful what you buy. It might have been donated in perfect condition but the store tag leaves a lovely hole in it. Very frustrating.

There are lots of clothes, but everything else I saw was ... not anything I thought was worth buying. Lots of old, dirty looking appliances, not-nice furniture, ancient TVs *on* and playing terrible video. A few fun finds back in the toy section. (Bibleman, the board game, anyone?) Could be good for certain purposes (like dressing a movie set) but I can't think of much else. Clothes-wise, it is pretty cheap and we found a quite-nice bathrobe for a few bucks.

Went there several times, tons of stuff but could never find anything appealing to me. I've had better luck at other stores. Will need to check it out again.

One of the best thrift stores in the Altoona area. The merchandise has good turnover, so you can usually find a bunch of things you didn't see the week before. I believe they re-stock on Tuesdays, but I'm not positive. There are 2 dressing rooms and the store usually isn't crowded. The furniture section is small, but the turnover is good there as well. Don't forget to check out the jewelry in the glass case beneath the cash register! It contains all the elderly lady's holiday-themed brooches your heart desires, and of course, the occasional treasure.
