Yesterday my bike threw the chain 2.5 hours from home. After going round and round with a shady local company a passerby told me to call these guys. So glad I did. Brice was right there in 40 minutes like he said he would. Super careful loading and strapping the bike down. Got to have some good conversation on the long ride home. Seems like a really good dude. Hopefully I never need another tow out that way, but I know who my first call will be.

I had a great experience with Birchfield. What started as a simple battery replacement turned into needing a new alternator, and they were incredibly responsive and efficient. They managed to get me in quickly and fixed my car within just 3 hours, which was crucial because I had a two-hour drive for a work trip. Highly recommend their prompt service and professionalism!

Used to use these guys all the time. However, I had a wreck. It was pouring rain and about 60 degrees. The driver wouldn't give me a ride off the interstate. The only reason he finally did was because the state cop MADE him. He gave me a ride in dead silence and then when I was getting out he asked how I wanted to pay for the tow and where I wanted it.towed too.. I told him where and asked how much. He and another driver that was on scene couldn't give me a price and told me it would be towed where I wanted the next day because it was pushing 6pm. I said that was fine and told them I had cash or card to pay or it could go through insurance but they couldn't give me a price. Told me they'd call us the next day This was a Tuesday. Heard nothing Wednesday or Thursday so we called Friday and they told us the bill was up to $1200 for holding it there 3 days and that they wouldn't release it or tow it without the bill being paid becausd they kept getting screwed by the insurance companies. Nor did they want to let us get the stuff out of the vehicle. We argued with them and told them I offered to pay on scene and they kept a hold of our vehicle for at least another week while the insurance got sorted out, all the while the bill kept rising. They finally let us clean the vehicle out. Will never, ever, do business with them again. The enitre.ordeal was absolutely ridiculous

My car broke down today. 6/19/25. I called multiple tow companies &got bad responses. “Sorry,we don’t have a driver” or “call someone in Bedford county” were what I was told. Then I called Burchfield’s & they were professional, helpful &they got me taken care of. In case anyone else needs a tow in central PA, I highly recommend Burchfield’s. ?

I bought a vehicle from Burchfield and I would do it again. All my questions were answered in a timely manner. Everyone at their shop was nice and welcoming. When my bank was being a serious pain everyone here helped make the sale happen.

Brice and his team are heroes!! I wish my fleet management company would have called them first!! My truck slid off an icy hill and these guys made some strong work of recovering it and towing it to safety. I will forever appreciate the hard work they did!!!!

07.15.2024 truck head air leak, road servie. came on monday, couldent fined the problem. charged 408.10$. came back next day, chenged cople working parts, but didnt fined what was extualy the problem. charged 899.50$ also spend 977.80$ on parts that was good and didnt need to be replaced.

My Truck had its hub blown ? out on, 99 South in Altoona, PA these guys come out. Got my trailer and truck off the highway in less than 24hrs I was rolling again. Thank you Bruce and your team. if anyone out there stranded on the side of the road or needs assistance, feel free to reach out to these guys They will definitely take care of you.

Burchfield was absolutely compassionate and wonderful when my parents handicap van broke down. They not only towed it but the next day they looked at it and had it fixed and back to them at more than a reasonable price! Rip Off Alert: The guy over the phone just quoted me at $800 for a 8.8 mile tow on a 33 foot RV. One word - Preposterous. I know there’s inflation, but running the numbers, that would be $90.90 per mile.

I got a flat tire soon after driving onto I-99, leaving Roaring Springs. AAA dispatched someone from Burchfield Auto & Truck Sales. Once I arrived the team plugged the hole in my tire and I was on my way. Thank you to the entire staff for your kindness and service.

Gary responded to our AAA call, stranded in a Walmart parking lot with a dead battery. He got it started long enough to follow him to the shop, where he changed our battery at 9:30 at night. Professional and courteous!

Responsive and reliable. They have helped us without fail many times and at all hours. Polite and professional. Very thankful for their towing service. And they were the best price when I needed to rent box trucks from them for a period of time and perfect to deal with.

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY! When we went to pick up the box truck we purchased we noticed that they over filled the oil and multiple other fluid levels were low and needed to be filled. (not a big deal since we caught it, but if we hadn't, we would have had major issues that were completely their fault and would have been liable for repairs) Once we started driving the vehicle back to MN, we made it less than 500 miles and the fan near the radiator shattered and punctured the radiator causing us to be stranded on the side of the road in Ohio and lead to expensive repairs. When I reached out to them to see how we could work together on getting this repaired I was completely ghosted. They didn't seem to care that the vehicle they just sold us now needs costly repairs. At the very least, answer my phone calls or emails and be professional about how you aren't going to help us with any of the cost. I completely understand we purchased the vehicle with no warranty and if something like this would have happened in a couple months of us owning the vehicle then its clear they shouldn't be liable for anything but when you own a vehicle for less than 24 hours and major damage occurs by simply driving it down the road, I think anyone would expect the dealership to step up and help out with cost of repairs. Overall very disappointed on how they handled the situation, I would have been much more understanding if they would have answered my phone calls or emails and talked to me about how they are not liable. It was already a hard enough situation getting my employee flown back home from being stranded in Ohio and not having a work truck that we were relying on being here to handle our work load without the added hassle of having to contact the Attorney General of Pennsylvania to see if the dealership is liable for any of the damages. It all could have been resolved by simply answering my phone calls or emails.

I’m a grandmother and they put my grand babies lives in jeopardy when the said they fixed my car only to find out, they indeed charged me but didn’t fix ANYTHING! My wheel WENT FLYING off going 40mphs a day later from picking it up. Lucky to say the sweet babies are okay but, the audacity of the owners to call me a lair and not pay for the other garages bill and or give me money back is just unheard of!! We all could be seriously hurt or dead because of this. They will be in a lawsuit soon enough! Please do not let them work on your car!!!!!!

Mr. Gary is a wonderful employee, he not only saved me from the side of the road. But also was generally a nice person who I could hold a conversation with. I will definitely request him the next time I need a tow!!! Great job Gary!

Called at 3:40 - had a busted vehicle that had to get from Hollidaysburg to State College by 5:00. They came through on short notice. From their shop to my location, loaded the car and to State College with a minute to spare. Awesome service!

Have all the equipment to tow to ur car, truck or commercial vehicle.

*PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, ITS A SCAM!!!* charged friends $600 for brakes in front when they had no place to stay on a road trip in their RV, then wanted another $1000 or more to do the rear brakes knowing they had little funds and having to get back on the road ASAP! Just wanted to probably take the RV cause they couldn't afford the costs they kept tacking on more money, While stuck there for over a week! Luckily we got a friend to come out and do it and he saved the day by working on it all through the night and costed little to nothing what they charged, he did it for $100-$200 in parts! Again bad business, horrible customer support by owner, some of the mechanics wanted to do it but owner would not let them! Don't waste your money here, go to a reputable place!

Great place to go for professional and quick service. We were passing through the area and needed an oil change on our Class A motorhome. Got us in and everyone was great. If anyone is in the area and need service, call them.

Great, friendly, helpful people. Got me, my van and cargo trailer, my brother, his van and cargo trailer off the road up the Horseshoe Curve Mountain after one transmission overheated and the other failed! Beautiful area. STEEP hill.

I am from So. Ga. and was looking for a box truck on the internet. Of all the trucks I looked I found across the country, Burchfield had the best offer. Hit a deer with my semi tractor while in the area working. They immediately looked at my truck and ordered the replacement part but the dealer didn't bit have the correct part and the one I needed was two days away. I would like to thank the staff for going out of their way to try and help me so quickly.

Ive had both good and bad experiences with this company... they have unlocked my keys from my car... they have towed me from near and far... they have even fixed some things! Good experience came and unlocked my keys with in 15 min of my call however i also had them misdiagnose a issue with my car and tell me its not worth fixing... took it to another shop and the problem was no where near what they said
